From a beta player of this game 1. Don't decode together in early game cos when you're decoding together at early game you are disrupting cipher rush (except when the hunter is joseph, the one with the cameras) 2. When you are a decoder, it's okay to hide at the start of the match first then just decode when you know that someone is being chase by the hunter (you'll know it when someone ping is hunter is near me or hunter is close, hide) 3. If you are a rescuer pls decode in the middle of the map (especially on big maps like moonlit and etc), to instantly rotate when someone is chaired (exception is when you are a rescuer team which is a tactic sometimes use on high ranks) 4. Don't hesitate to use items :) (I'll try not to explain this cos it's basic common sense) 5. If you are an injured doctor and you are the last surv don't do a full heal immediately cos syringe can reset the crow timer 6. Pls decode when someone is being chase :) 7. Don't lose hope immediately when someone gets terror shock or kited 5 seconds at early game but when ur team somehow does just take ur time decoding and just rescue after half or when the chair time is near flight, to waste as much time for hunter cos ur team m8 got downed early 8. When you're a rescuer pls pls pls use the chair time before rescuing like pls rescue only when the chair is near half or near flight *Edit* 9. When kiting, know ur teammates positions so you will know where to kite and where not to kite Welp I gtg now online class is bout to start hope this tips help yah fam
i would say hesitate to use objects, i get a lot of coords who use the gun in the first chase, grave keepers who use the showel too late so they get hit while doing the animation and gardeners that don't time the shield well like, know whats the right moment in the game to use it wisely
From a not so experienced Joseph main, a tip: If the camera world is open, pls don't put down graffities when decoding, because when I'm in camera world, I can hear them being putted down, so I know that you're there. (if I'm close)
From another jojo main: If your mirror image is chaired and photo world is about to close, go look for a teammate and if you can’t, hide in a corner. Chaired mirror images are downed survivors, you will be downed.
The biggest tip for me which was a game-changer was priming a cipher. NO one teaches you this and I had to find out what it was from angry teammates. xD I originally thought the objective was just to pop all of the ciphers, last one included, as fast as possible..not taking into consideration if ppl are on chair or not.
Same for me. But then, I watched some gameplays because I wanted to get better at kiting when I realized you needed to prime cipher. Now with that new knowledge, I'm the salty player who get first chair and others pop the last cipher without any remorse ;-; What's scary is that I've met some people with over 500 matches who still don't know how to prime cipher, and what's worse is that some even don't care about that when I say 'please, learn how to prime cipher' and they just say 'I don't care, chill, it's just a game'.
@@BLforBloodLoss Yeahh!! I watched gameplays too..but it just never clicked? I have to be told outright what something is or I won't understand. xD YES, I get salty about it too sometimes (I never say anything though)..but I try to remember that it isn't common knowledge that's taught..although, it SHOULD be in the tutorials. I went 4 months into the game before I finally learned it. I swear I didn't know IdentityV had so much strategy in it, I was just going around popping ciphers without a care in the beginning. lolol!!
@@adamsky4371 Even without tide it is essential to prime the cipher. Tide only makes survivor down if hit after 20s, with or without tide, cipher should be popped when one of the two survivors gets hit AFTER rescuing, so the spd boost from popping last cipher and the one from getting hit are triggered + hunter attack animation which makes the survivor able to run away and put some distance. It is recommended to bring tide, but sometimes rescuers have already have used it in the middle of the game, most of the time if kite hasnt been very good, none will be able to use tide on last cipher. The only moment you are not popping it is when someone gets hit, it is if rescuer gets terror shock/down before managing to save, but it's very risky, that's why better not be terror shock at this particular moment, or if the kiter says 'focus on decoding!'. The kiter is the one having the ultimate power, he is the one to choose when last cipher is popped, if he says nothing, wait for him to get hit (though be careful, sometimes you can get crows and alert hunter where cipher is primed), or wait for his command. You can also pop it if you see hunter has been pallet stunned, but watch out for excitement.
@@Ali_delightful I got also the same remarks but I didnt know a single thing so I just kept on doing it MY rules (I was dumb lol). There is literally the message about cipher machine primed in the game, but they don't tell us what it means lol. Thankfully, I got to know what it meant not long after the 100 matches.. Then I learn a LOT from videos, like how to kite, pallets, vaulting, etc... Now I'm saying in pre-match QM "Please prime the cipher!" to make sure we are in the same bag ;^; (I used to try to give the hunter to someone else because I didn't know how to kite hhhhhh)
came to the game for Danganronpa, stayed for the crazy good atmosphere (and gameplay, obviously). These tips were super useful, especially since I’m still learning the game lol. Thanks!
tip: you don't have to memorize the spawn points, but instead make routes based on your spawn as hunter. like i spawn here, so the closest survivor is most of the time here
Despite your comment being 3 years old I also have a tip for anyone who’s into idv nowadays: i learned recently that 100% of the time, the two ciphers closest to you will not have survivors spawn. The hardest part about this is figuring out which cipher is closest to you since some maps are a bit tricky (Like red church when you spawn inside of the church, hospital and any mid-spawns). I carry a trait that locks the cipher furthest from me temporarily and turns its outline white for a while. There’s almost always gonna be someone there.
same i only found out until i started practicing as hunter more frequently, i felt so dumb since im usually always targeted with that whenever i play as survivor n the hunter finds me immediately- i just assumed it was something like decoding debuff lmao
So uh, I don't know if this is correct or not, feel free to correct me, but you can actually know dream witch is near you if you play prisoner! If you connect two ciphers together, the "wires" between the bars will flicker as if it's about to be cut if there's a hunter near the cipher (idk if this only works for the cipher you're currently touching or for both). I actually got away from dream witch because the whole flickering thing alerted me lol-
I have never heard of that, that sounds very possible, I know it does warn you if the hunter is on the other end of the exit gate when you are connected to it ... Hmmm... If that is true that is very useful! Thanks!
Aaaa, thank you! Like, I haven't main-ed prisoner for long so I'm sure other prisoner mains can correct me. But from my experience, the thing flickered red and just as I got out of there I saw the dream witch follower walking towards me. Thankfully I managed to avoid a terror shock 😂
9:54 oh God I play this game from season one and I never even noticed that. I always thought it was a you know cosmetic thing to make the game look nice. I always just memorize it. I think it's letrally the only thing I didn't known about this game lmao
10:23 also if there's a green circle means that the seer has sended his owl to protect that survivor and currently has that shield. and if it is like a pink aura it means that that survivor is using euphoria (the perfume). if there's a bubble means that they currently have another shield.
i just started playing a week ago and i honestly don't know what im doing LMAO i would freak out when the hunter chases me and I'd loose sight to where i am supposed to go or what im supposed to do and just run off around the map not knowing what to do😭
C badge photo here Although decoding in photo world can help avoid being terror shocked, from the hunter perspective from some distance off it is possible to see survs decoding in photo world (they’ll show with a blue outline), depending on when in the game and the cipher, I will sometimes go into real world then back into photo world to terror shock them in there, I’m guessing I’m not the only photo who does this, so against a photo, always be ready to move fast to avoid the terror shock
8:55 this is for everyone not just newbie: when joseph takes photo please decode together unlike dealing with other hunters when the photo period is done it takes half of your decoded bit but if you decode together it’s faster so you can finish the cipher before it takes half of your decoded bit away
Thank YOU!!! I’ve been playing all wrong and I kept getting chaired or found just out of the blue! I was so confused and almost quit the game entirely thank you!!! Now I know and this will definitely improve my gameplay!
11:10 I recommend going to shack if u spawn here, because there are two survivors close to each other there, but its optional because where u went to wasnt a bad route, the shack route is just the favourite spawn for Joseph because he can down two images there
I've been playing IDV for quite some time now and I still consider myself a beginner. If you don't get IDV or feel like your bad at it, that's fine! It takes quite a while to figure out all the mechanics and what to do. I'm someone who plays for the lore and I'm not all that great when it comes to gameplay. Also, something to note is that even if you are an amazing player, the wrong team can really screw you up. The game is based on teamwork so keep that in mind! BTW when i say ive been playing it for quite some time, i mean a loooong timei was there during the first few moths of the game
Ha, as a Wu chang and Joseph main myself, i memorized all the Survivors spawns while playing as survivor most of the time, Now i can say that I have a little bit of control over the map(Even when they hide at the start since they know I'm using joseph), and as Wu chang I can teleport right to one spawn and get a free hit in the beginning! ,,, I was the Imposter while playing as survivor for too long 😳
same!! as a wu chang main I usually move to the weakest map point where I know someone spawns, so I get my presence up without having to worry bc I know it's not the best kiting area.
Priming/Popping ciphers is so key and many still dont know about it. It can completely make or break a game. Sometimes everyone just awkwardly waits around for someone to get hit or they dont have TT or someone pops the cipher while a rescue is going om and triggers detention. Its such a mess lol
As a new player that joined in this season, these are very useful !! I never knew about the red thing and why I always have it. I am saving up for dream witch, I didn't actually know she was really good, I only wanted her cause of appearance and the follower.
Tip from a B badge ripper: If a survivor vaults or puts down a pallet and you have foggy blade on, Immediately attack where the survivor is. The foggy blade can go through small cracks on the walls, pallets and windows. Another tip: if a survivor is in the opened or is walking in a strait line, use your foggy blade. Sometimes people rank elk and higher will predict and dodge the foggy blade. Sorry for my bad english lmao
For dream witch I didn't understand how to counter her until she was on free trial with the rest of the characters and I played her then I realised I was an idiot and could just go on the pentagram with a circle around it to be able to remove the follower
I’ve only been playing for two weeks so far, but a small tip I have that I think is good is that if two ciphers are right next to each other, prime one and pop the other and quickly pop the primed one so you can run away since the hunter can see where the cipher was popped so then you can decode both of them with chance to run before the hunter can find you. Also, don’t vault windows or pallets unless you need to, I’m half sure it gives away your location and everyone does it.
Personally , I've noticed that every single time I played as gardener the hunter always found me first even if i I didn't do anything, there was always that bubble around her and I still dont know what it means. After I changed the character to seer I never had this problem
So, Gardener has a couple of abilities, the bubble appears at the beginning of the match and protects you for one hit, you can get more bubbles if you stand still for 2 seconds/5 seconds/etc. (it increases the more the hunter breaks your bubble). She can also break chairs, if you break a chair, the hunter gets notified.
When I play emma (gardener) Yes the hunter is always near me even tho I'm not doing anything Like breaking chairs or vaulting , putting down pallets just kinda weird Even my friend who main emma. It happens to her many times XD
I think Gardener's toolbox should only notify the hunter if they're nearby. I know why they did it to balance her, but her item can feel detrimental when it reveals you from across the map. Most of the time, I see people just swap out her item for a new one. For an item that can be countered easily, I don't think the item should be as risky to use. Especially going against "Undead", the toolbox helps the hunter 😂. Anyways, that's my explanation. What are your thoughts?
As a geisha main, it’s hard to use her ability when your looping her(especially with her recent nerf) so use that to your advantage, thanks for the tips I had no idea about the wanted order icon so that helps a bunch
I feel like such an idiot because I knew when I played hunter for a bit that survivors left blood stains when running but for some reason decided to forget all about that when I ended up maining surv
So I can drop some tips to counter my main, which is sculptor. 1. She works best in an area filled with obstacles, so avoid staying in a spot like that. 2. If you're an enchantress or coordinator, attack her when she uses her chisel to cast the statues. It will interrupt her killing spree and will be forced to chase you (Her chase abilities are mediocre). 3. This rule applies to all hunter in generals. Use your pallets wisely. I saw many people accidentally Corner themselves trying to get away from me by throwing down a pallet.
I actually founded most of this on my own, and I didnt even had a week. At first I was just experimenting, and surprisingly enough, I learned some tips.
In the first tip, I just knew that like a month ago when I started to play hunter. Also when you vault a pallet, pull down a pallet, or vault a window. Playing hunter actually really helps.
I hope you are enjoying the game! Since this video was released so much has changed about the game, it has become a lot more beginner friendly! I am glad you are enjoying the vids!!!
Great tips! Memorizing the maps can be a great help especially for finding dungeons. Most of the time players use it to quickly find survivors-hunters alike. I just started this game this March 2021. 😊 Been wanting to play this for a long time.
A tip I wish I knew: If the hunter has detention and the exit gate is open, heal up if you were hit and kite the hunter (nearby the gate) until the red effect in their eyes dissipate. Then run to the gate immediately after it dissipates. This is because if you run to the gate within the detention time, the hunter can down you instantly and kill you. If you wait until it disappears, then you can run immediately with only the risk of getting hit a single time and then the speed boost helps you escape quicker. Just make sure you aren’t far from the gate. This is because detention makes the hunter’s standard attacks deal double and if you try to escape even without being hit, it will knock you down in one hit. So yeah and this happened to me this morning. Guess what hunter this was. Bonbon...
a veteran here ! (started playing 2018.) A lil tip for dream witch and joseph . for joseph in the beginning you NEED to hide before camera activated . why? to avoid being hit first. and for dream witch . you will see a icon next to the map thingy . if its like a red icon of dream witch is means her main body is near! you need to run and not decode when the main body is near.there will be a purple thingy in the ground.get it and remove the followers she leech on you
To explain all the weird markings over the Survivor icons: A veiny, red, smoky whatever effect over the picture: The effects of Wanted Order, a thing from a Hunter's Persona Web. It reveals the location of said Survivor to the Hunter. A white bubble: Gardener's recall, it's a shield that block attacks. A blue shield: Tide Turner, a Survivor is invulnerable to attacks for a handful of seconds after being saved. A red shield: Said Survivor under Tide Turner has been hit, and will be downed when the effect ends. Red dot over the Survivor names: That Survivor has already been chaired at least once. Green bubble: Seer's owl, it blocks attacks. Ripple effect over the profile: The Survivor just used Flywheel Effect to dodge an attack/gain distance. Hunter specific: A weird round symbol in white: Dream Witch has leeched on that Survivor, one of her followers has been attached to them. The same round symbol but it's purple: The Survivor possesses the Witch mark, which allows them to remove followers from themselves and others. A weird symbol in blue or red: That is Hermit's charge. (I don't play him so I don't know the name for it) The red is for negative and blue for positive. If Hermit were to hit a Survivor with a negative charge, and if others possess the same charge, the damage would be shared to the others. When the countdown over the symbol reaches zero, the Survivor is able to switch polarities for a limited amount of time. The only time when this charge disappears is when they take damage (I think) EDIT: You can remove Hermit's charge by going into a locker! I think that's about it......
I play mostly survivor games, so here's a major tip I learned recently- cipher machine priming. If you're decoding the final cipher machine, pay close attention to your teammates. If they're being chased/downed, whether or not the hunter has detention, DO NOT decode it all the way, especially if they have the revival ability for the final pop (decode it as close to 99% as you can). If a teammate is being chased, wait until they're downed to pop the final cipher machine. If they're chaired, wait until someone gets the rescue, then pop the machine. If they have the revival ability on their persona web, popping the final cipher takes away half of their damage when downed, and gives them a full recovery after being rescued, and it also gives them a speed boost. I really recommend having the ability on your persona web no matter which character you play (unless you can kite), it's helped me out alot in a ton of matches
I thought I joined identity v 3 years ago. But I noticed one of the hunters who use "listen" When you are decoding you can press the walk button to stop decoding cause some hunters use listening so fast that can trick you. It's very useful for phones that has a high ping. Second When The hunter is hell ember or the hunter is using peepers. You should pick "Explorer" if you used the notebook the hunter won't teleport or see you.

@@strawberry-xo3kt Crossovers usually are around for about a month i think. You can try to get the tpn skins from the essences you open but it could be a bit hard depending on your luck
Well, I'm not 100% sure, but I think Seer is able to see the actual body of Dream Witch, because I remember doing so very early on when I first started, saddly I don't go against many Dream Witches so again I may be wrong.
@@ravenjackson5415 I guess maybe it was a glitch that I saw when I first went against the witch because I Renee being able to see the main body as a red ghostly figure. Or maybe I'm the past you could actually see her or something idk. Bit yeah it seems you can't anymore
You should also talk about some of the maps mechanism like the walls in Red Church, the rollercoaster and merry'go'around in Moonlit, etc... It can be useful to the hunter and also the survivors. I always thank anyone who put down some walls in Church so it can make me transition to another kiting area without taking a hit, or someone who pressed 'stop' for the rollercoaster. It saved my life more than once especially if hunter is Joseph and is just waiting for you at second-stop xD
just a tip from an oldschool joseph main: if you memorize spawn points and insta camera you can usually hit a survivor twice (the copy) and then you wont have a hit cooldown while you beat up their teammates!
Did you know that you can avoid pallet stun balloon rescue even tho the downed surv is in pallet? Cos I feel like u don't know since u didn't picked up prisoner when barmaid is near well it's easy just don't stop walking then press the balloon pick up button while walking then you'll get out of the pallet while picking up the balloon
I've been playing for long but did know most of these. Maybe the only one i was learning the most were all the survivor and hunter spawn zones because i don't kite so well wich means hiding is the best solution for me. Anyway thanks for the tips :D
If anyone is looking to main a survivor, look into transition and tight kiting. Its interesting to learn about and even how to apply both strategies (like which hunters are weak to which type). It's useful especially if you're into IdV like I have been for the past half a decade. I'm definately not a ranked player, but I love the game so I just try to have fun as I go.
tips from a Galatea and Emily main: Galatea (Sculptor, the one with wheelchair) can throw her knife (i dunno if is a knife tho), so STOP looking at Galatea when they hit you and are "stunned" because it i'll be more easy to catch you

I just wish that when ppl see a mechanic coming to their cipher (cuz it's the closest to her ) they would just move to another cipher in early game cuz she has a decoding debuff when someone gets injured so she needs to decode the closest cipher asap before any injury UNLESS it's joseph we're playing against and he takes a picture first then pls welcome and decode with me so we could finish before photo world ends cuz I don't think I could finish it alone 😔💔💔
as a dbd player, i was flabbergasted when hunters could hit through pallets, if you want to stun the hunter, there's 2 ways you could do it, i recommend the first because it is more beginner friendly and is really easy to learn, though it can easily be countered if up against a good hunter! 1. stand behind the pallet, so like to the sides and stuff. this allows hunters to not hit you through the pallet because there's a wall protecting you, of course there's hunters that can counter this as well like bloody queen and violinist (and many more) but if they can counter that then you can always use the time they take to deploy their ability to transition (move to a different kiting area). Hunters can counter this by doing a full swing (holding down the attack) through the pallet but if you see that, you must time it perfectly where it would be cut off, if its a wuchang you might just wanna avoid throwing down pallets completely bc his hit box is crazy. 2. make it look like you're running away from the pallet and then click on the interact button. this creates a lag affect and i recommend to use it when the hunter is very close, not close enough to hit you though. but mm to put it simply, run through the pallet and get just far enough that it looks like you're still running but when the hunter follows you through the pallet, throw it down. it's hard at first but you get the hang of it with some practice. i've taught a lot of my friends how to play idv so these might sound stupid but just always remember to transition to a place with pallets. Never go to open areas unless you are transitioning to another area, of course, this takes practice as you must learn the maps. another thing, nEVER RISK THE TERROR SHOCK (when interacting with an object, a cipher machine, vaulting a window or pallet, this does not include throwing a pallet down) it's okay to get hit. The main goal of the game is to waste as much time as possible to allow you and your teammates to escape, most people think that getting hit is the worst possible thing, but becoming a one shot is better than getting downed and this can be a lot of downfalls for the teams. Another reminder, if you run out of pallets, you can transition by taking hits, this does not mean to intentionally get yourself hit, but try juking the hunter by spinning around them and in the case you get him, you're able to transition properly. One last thing! If you ever find people body blocking for you after being chaired, DO NOT KITE OR THROW DOWN A PALLET, from experience, it is super frustrating to be a player and having a pallet slammed down on your face while trying to help a character. Why people body block is to help you escape and it also allows your other teammates to decode for longer. You might not escape the hunter but it definitely helps you get far away from the hunter, enough for you to find another area to kite!
I got interest in this game because it was very similar to my favourite game dead by daylight, but this game is very fun in on its way and I love playing it so much thanks for all the tips!!

I would love to play a few matches with you, btw I knew all of these tips, its a common thing to learn if you actually focus on fixing your kiting, and it takes 60 seconds (approximately) to decode a cipher, its really a broken mechanic
I got a tip for hunter if there is a docter target the docter shes the most anyoing survivor because she can heal so she can rescue over and over and over again

What's scary is that I've met some people with over 500 matches who still don't know how to prime cipher, and what's worse is that some even don't care about that when I say 'please, learn how to prime cipher' and they just say 'I don't care, chill, it's just a game'.
@@BLforBloodLoss Yeahh!! I watched gameplays too..but it just never clicked? I have to be told outright what something is or I won't understand. xD
YES, I get salty about it too sometimes (I never say anything though)..but I try to remember that it isn't common knowledge that's taught..although, it SHOULD be in the tutorials. I went 4 months into the game before I finally learned it. I swear I didn't know IdentityV had so much strategy in it, I was just going around popping ciphers without a care in the beginning. lolol!!
but this only works if the player has borrowed time right?
@@Ali_delightful
I got also the same remarks but I didnt know a single thing so I just kept on doing it MY rules (I was dumb lol).
There is literally the message about cipher machine primed in the game, but they don't tell us what it means lol. Thankfully, I got to know what it meant not long after the 100 matches.. Then I learn a LOT from videos, like how to kite, pallets, vaulting, etc...
Now I'm saying in pre-match QM "Please prime the cipher!" to make sure we are in the same bag ;^;
(I used to try to give the hunter to someone else because I didn't know how to kite hhhhhh)
came to the game for Danganronpa, stayed for the crazy good atmosphere (and gameplay, obviously). These tips were super useful, especially since I’m still learning the game lol. Thanks!
I had never heard of the game until a friend told me to try it and I loved it. Ha! I'm glad you found the tips useful.
Yeyyyy DanganronpaXIdentity V!!!😍 I Discovered Danganronpa because of Identity V❤️😍
samee, i didnt knew about IDV until I saw the first DRxIDV collab announcement some months later i decided to give it a try and i love it

That’s what the point is.
Glad it worked

Same, I'm really sad that I only came 5 days before the event ended though
tip: you don't have to memorize the spawn points, but instead make routes based on your spawn as hunter. like i spawn here, so the closest survivor is most of the time here
its also useful when playing survivor as well: "oh shit i spawned in shit-spawn hunter is probably coming here first"
Despite your comment being 3 years old I also have a tip for anyone who’s into idv nowadays: i learned recently that 100% of the time, the two ciphers closest to you will not have survivors spawn.
I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THE RED THING ON THE HUMAN ICON! now i realise how hunters knew where i was.... Time to get to unicorn!!!!
I'm glad it helps, I wish you the best of luck to you getting to Alicorn 🤣 come and tell me when you do!

@@BBlackPhoenixthanks i hope ill get there soon
same i only found out until i started practicing as hunter more frequently, i felt so dumb since im usually always targeted with that whenever i play as survivor n the hunter finds me immediately- i just assumed it was something like decoding debuff lmao
And, enchantress can identify the main body too. She gets that bar of when she will get her skull when the main body comes near by I think
Yeah it works on prisoner but in enchant, it only works on the main follower

9:54 oh God I play this game from season one and I never even noticed that. I always thought it was a you know cosmetic thing to make the game look nice. I always just memorize it. I think it's letrally the only thing I didn't known about this game lmao
Ha! I'm glad I could teach you something new.
Omg same. Now I know
i normally pay attention to small details in games like this, it may help you in other games eg genshin impact etc
10:23 also if there's a green circle means that the seer has sended his owl to protect that survivor and currently has that shield.
and if it is like a pink aura it means that that survivor is using euphoria (the perfume).
if there's a bubble means that they currently have another shield.
No but what are those red veiny markings around a random survivor at times?? Is it Wanted Order??
i just started playing a week ago and i honestly don't know what im doing LMAO i would freak out when the hunter chases me and I'd loose sight to where i am supposed to go or what im supposed to do and just run off around the map not knowing what to do😭
C badge photo here
Although decoding in photo world can help avoid being terror shocked, from the hunter perspective from some distance off it is possible to see survs decoding in photo world (they’ll show with a blue outline), depending on when in the game and the cipher, I will sometimes go into real world then back into photo world to terror shock them in there, I’m guessing I’m not the only photo who does this, so against a photo, always be ready to move fast to avoid the terror shock
OH MY GOD HIIIII
lol you call him "photo"
8:55 this is for everyone not just newbie: when joseph takes photo please decode together unlike dealing with other hunters when the photo period is done it takes half of your decoded bit but if you decode together it’s faster so you can finish the cipher before it takes half of your decoded bit away
Thank YOU!!! I’ve been playing all wrong and I kept getting chaired or found just out of the blue! I was so confused and almost quit the game entirely thank you!!! Now I know and this will definitely improve my gameplay!
I am really glad that it helped, if you have any other questions, just ask!
11:10 I recommend going to shack if u spawn here, because there are two survivors close to each other there, but its optional because where u went to wasnt a bad route, the shack route is just the favourite spawn for Joseph because he can down two images there
I still don't understand the cipher wiggling 😤 that's why I'm having a hard time playing hunter sometimes 😭
Hey, what don't you understand? It is quite difficult to see at the beginning, but the more you practice looking for it, the more obvious it becomes.
The top of the ciphers (antennas) wiggle
go behind a wall and check if the ciphers are wiggling thats how you see the ciphers if it's in 30% it will wiggle
1. Move behind walls
2. Stop and look at the cipher higlights
3. When you saw a cipher wiggling then that means a surv is decoding it
you can see the cipher wiggling so much when it's nearly done. just make sure to watch it through the wall because we can see it clearly
i've been playing this game since a bit before season 8 and i never knew about 9:58 whoa
It suprised me too!
I’ve been playing this game since season 5. This surprised me too.
since season 1 lol i knew this at season 12
I've been playing IDV for quite some time now and I still consider myself a beginner. If you don't get IDV or feel like your bad at it, that's fine! It takes quite a while to figure out all the mechanics and what to do. I'm someone who plays for the lore and I'm not all that great when it comes to gameplay. Also, something to note is that even if you are an amazing player, the wrong team can really screw you up. The game is based on teamwork so keep that in mind!
BTW when i say ive been playing it for quite some time, i mean a loooong timei was there during the first few moths of the game
Ha, as a Wu chang and Joseph main myself, i memorized all the Survivors spawns while playing as survivor most of the time, Now i can say that I have a little bit of control over the map(Even when they hide at the start since they know I'm using joseph), and as Wu chang I can teleport right to one spawn and get a free hit in the beginning!
,,, I was the Imposter while playing as survivor for too long 😳
Same. Wu Chang and Joseph main too. But I still struggle with Leo's Memory.. that map is.. oof.
same!! as a wu chang main I usually move to the weakest map point where I know someone spawns, so I get my presence up without having to worry bc I know it's not the best kiting area.
I pretty much memorize the bigger maps for Wu Chang because I struggle playing as him in small maps
Priming/Popping ciphers is so key and many still dont know about it. It can completely make or break a game. Sometimes everyone just awkwardly waits around for someone to get hit or they dont have TT or someone pops the cipher while a rescue is going om and triggers detention. Its such a mess lol
i don’t get it can you explain Im just bew to the game
As a new player that joined in this season, these are very useful !! I never knew about the red thing and why I always have it.
I am saving up for dream witch, I didn't actually know she was really good, I only wanted her cause of appearance and the follower.
Tip from a B badge ripper:
If a survivor vaults or puts down a pallet and you have foggy blade on, Immediately attack where the survivor is.
(Also just to say- I still play her I have the character now shes fun, Yet hard to play )
@@BBlackPhoenix oooooh thank you so much
When I play emma (gardener)
Yes the hunter is always near me even tho I'm not doing anything
Like breaking chairs or vaulting , putting down pallets just kinda weird
Even my friend who main emma.
I’m friends with 4th gardener and she agrees on this whole video!
4:52 watch out for trams?
In the first tip, I just knew that like a month ago when I started to play hunter. Also when you vault a pallet, pull down a pallet, or vault a window. Playing hunter actually really helps.
Im playing this game for a month, i still suck but its very fun. Just wanted to say i love your high quality vids
I hope you are enjoying the game! Since this video was released so much has changed about the game, it has become a lot more beginner friendly! I am glad you are enjoying the vids!!!
5:50 I think it’s better for decoders, especially mechanic, to bring tide because mech is like a secondary rescue
im a minds eye main and i dont bring tide for her.
@@cutsepepee yeah i think its mosly mechs that bring tide
(started playing 2018.) A lil tip for dream witch and joseph . for joseph in the beginning you NEED to hide before camera activated . why? to avoid being hit first. and for dream witch . you will see a icon next to the map thingy . if its like a red icon of dream witch is means her main body is near! you need to run and not decode when the main body is near.there will be a purple thingy in the ground.get it and remove the followers she leech on you
To explain all the weird markings over the Survivor icons:
A veiny, red, smoky whatever effect over the picture: The effects of Wanted Order, a thing from a Hunter's Persona Web.
Hunter specific:
A weird round symbol in white: Dream Witch has leeched on that Survivor, one of her followers has been attached to them.
Wow. Thank you. I thought besides the hunter ability it meant nothing so will def check on that now.

I wonder if my early game experience would have been better if I knew some of these tips haha
just a tip from an oldschool joseph main: if you memorize spawn points and insta camera you can usually hit a survivor twice (the copy) and then you wont have a hit cooldown while you beat up their teammates!

I just wish that when ppl see a mechanic coming to their cipher (cuz it's the closest to her ) they would just move to another cipher in early game cuz she has a decoding debuff when someone gets injured so she needs to decode the closest cipher asap before any injury UNLESS it's joseph we're playing against and he takes a picture first then pls welcome and decode with me so we could finish before photo world ends cuz I don't think I could finish it alone 😔💔💔
the 1st tip is just you saying dont run around screaming your location
as a dbd player, i was flabbergasted when hunters could hit through pallets, if you want to stun the hunter, there's 2 ways you could do it, i recommend the first because it is more beginner friendly and is really easy to learn, though it can easily be countered if up against a good hunter!
1. stand behind the pallet, so like to the sides and stuff. this allows hunters to not hit you through the pallet because there's a wall protecting you, of course there's hunters that can counter this as well like bloody queen and violinist (and many more) but if they can counter that then you can always use the time they take to deploy their ability to transition (move to a different kiting area).
Thank you so much!! Im a newbie and this tips helped me a Lot ^^
I got interest in this game because it was very similar to my favourite game dead by daylight, but this game is very fun in on its way and I love playing it so much thanks for all the tips!!

I'm just interested in them making the game a little way if us playing as our self in game like a custom character as how we wanted to be so Everytime we pick a rescue sipher or kite or something else those will unlock you the outfit for it you get what I'm trying to say just a custom character thingy area for fun like a rp mode were we can message people or text your friends or stuff
So let me tell you how I started playing : I was at my grandparents and It was a storm so I just came across this game and I immediately installed it ( at that time I was a big fan of dead by daylight) and I did the tutorial and then I started to see that I loved thief because of it short flash and abilities being blocked and I got his worn clothes back then there where only hunter like soul weaver hell ember and the ones in between them on survivor I knew that I was really hipe when cowboy came out and dream witch but I don’t like them because they where difficult ( now I love them) and one thing you probably don’t know not many people saw the potential in mercenary back then.
When you only didn't knew about 1 thing only

I would love to play a few matches with you, btw I knew all of these tips, its a common thing to learn if you actually focus on fixing your kiting, and it takes 60 seconds (approximately) to decode a cipher, its really a broken mechanic

Thx, the only problem i have is kiting lol. Guess i need to practice more.
I am too playing since beta : and these tips are kinda nice !
this is sooo helpful !!! i wish i watched this when i was new lol
Me too 🤣
This is very informative. Thanks!
That Luchino hitting while in the middle of the pallet gives me headache. 😵
Idk if i read it corectly or not but i heard that when you use junko skin for barmaid junko only serves soda and i think you can serve to martha and helena .
I don't think that is true, that would be very unfair to people without the skin. I hope that isn't true! lol
@@BBlackPhoenix yea i hope so
OHHHHH i didnt know survivers couldnt see dream witches main body, when i watched dream witch gameplay and she came up to a decoding surviver and the surviver didnt run away, i thought they just didnt care
This actually helped so much but it's sad how I can't play with someone like that he's the hunter and I'm the survivor :')
Lol one of my hunter's web persona is actually called: Pagel 🤣
It does tell you in the tutorial that the cipher machines start vibrating
I have this challenge as lunchino which is ‘’jump off a platform’’ and ‘’jump on a platform’’ what are platforms are where are they?
Platforms are parts of the map that are up stairs. For example jump onto the second stop on moonlit or the outside staircase on Leo's Memory
This is the most pro thing I’ve seen on idv tip LMFAO
