The ending of the movie "All of us strangers" really knocked me out. I cried, then sat for a long time in my chair while people left the theatre. When I finally got up there were still people sitting and crying together. Never seen such emotional reactions before. I was deeply impressed by the combination of lyrics and imagery.
All of Us Strangers crashed my spirit with beauty and relatable pain. Been years since a film did resonate in me so powerfully like this one. Being a gay man, artist and fighting depression… I ugly cried so many times. Art is the healing.

I had a really rough night yesterday (maybe the roughest in the last 4 months) and then I decided to watch a movie. I picked it accidentally (or not?) but it was one of my best decisions given the circumstances. I know it's a cliché but self-love is so important. So damn important. I've been hurting myself so many times and was wishing to be rescued by another human being and of course it doesn't work that way. I don't really know how to have more compassion towards myself but I've improved. Or I hope so. There are so many of us struggling, keep up the good work, beautiful people. Purge the soul. I loved this song anyway but recently the amazing Brian ‘Nasher’ Nash brought me here even more so. I always loved Frankie Goes to Hollywood but we were extremely very lucky to have Brian perform my beloved mum’s funeral ceremony at Thornton Crematorium near Crosby in Liverpool ❤❤ It was an emotional and heartbreaking day for us but I couldn’t have thought of anything more beautiful and perfect for my mum’s send off. I was her only girl and youngest and when I was born in 84 Relax was number 1 in the charts. Brian did a fantastic job, I couldn’t of asked for anything more special ❤❤

The accompanying video is definitely Christmas related but the song itself doesn’t sound like a Christmas song, but a love song. Perhaps it was initially released around Christmas? This is my first time hearing it, it’s beautiful.

Apparently it didn't start as a Christmas song. The record label decided they needed a single in the charts at Christmas and this was chosen, made into a Christmassong with the video. Was gutted when I found this out. I remember it being released before Christmas when I was mid teens. I loved it & still do, but that news 😢.
