Yume Nikki 0.06 - Removed Event

In version 0.06 of Yume Nikki, there's this removed event in place of the White Desert. It even has a different gate and everything! Basically, you walk on this bridge and when you sleep in the bed at the end, a Toriningen appears. The background is also seen sometimes off of your balcony, and the music is the Block World one at 50%. This event is also in version 0.04, but uses the Eyeball World music instead. Pretty interesting!

That’s the thing about this game. I have been playing Yume 2kki and I have noticed that the original YN seems to Be very efficient in the way it tries to portray loneliness and isolation. Perfect example here, nothing here is visually scary. The only thing is that you are trapped with this monster and even if you hide in the covers it gets you anyway. Genius.

Well to me it makes sense because Yume 2kki has many different contributors while the original was seemingly made by one person, so yeah when you have that many people working on your game, the general themes of it can get lost. I think the whole feel of this game is what really makes it special and a work of art.

@@KawaiiBabyTragon .Flow is ok, I preferred Deep Dreams simply because I really like Noildoofs contribution to 2kki. I already knew that .Flow was trying to be dark but doesn’t really try to subvert your expectations in any way. 2kki is creepier because it is a chaotic land of contrasts in an otherwise pretty lighthearted and surreal tone. Deep Dream has beautifully designed locations and backgrounds that are sweet on the surface but darker underneath.

You stated exactly why I don’t like any of these fangames. Yume Nikki is about exploring the environments and finding new places. You might go down a dead end path that doesn’t lead to any effect but it was still worth the trip for the experience of being there. All these fangames feel like they bottled just a tiny part of Yume Nikki and based the whole game on it

Yume Nikki tried to be like LSD dream simulator. YN fan games try to be YN but without looking at its original source material. They are usually just a medium for artist to give their spin on it. Funny how LISA is inspired by YN but makes itself into a completely original experience about trauma and the subconscious. @@AverageMoose

This has a lot of story behind it, i think it means that madotsuki feels safe on her home, or on her bed, and if she leaves there is the bullies, or the torinigens, she thinks in a way that they cant get her on her bed or in her home

@u a I guess the story is already told when the Toriningens grab you and trap you in a random box somewhere in the world. Maybe that's what Madotsuki feels the real world version of the Toriningens are, she got trapped in a box in real life and has no way out.

Nope! This bed doesn't send you anywhere, it just lets you hide from the Toriningen. The beds sending you to the Staircase of Hands only appear in the latest version, 0.10. In this version, the beds don't do anything special.

I have RPG Maker 2003, so I've looked into the maps and files for this game and this map is just flat out deleted in version 0.10. The White Desert appears in version 0.09, as shown here: th-cam.com/video/AxY1_XzCcWQ/w-d-xo.html meaning that this was removed either in version 0.07, 0.08, or 0.09. I could mod it into Yume Nikki if I really wanted to with RPG Maker.

Ya entiendo por qué nunca pude obtener poop head effect, porque en mi juego creo que esa cama es la que se habilitó para teletransportarme a la dimensión, pero como no se puede llegar hasta allí... No sé qué hacer, probé todas las camas del juego y nada

Si hablas de ese efecto en esta versión, entonces puedes encontrarlo en el mundo de los murales (conectado con el nexo) donde se puede encontrar el cabello rubio y cabello corto también. Las camas pueden transportarte solamente en la última versión, porque el nave de Masada y todo eso no existía hasta ahí en 0.10.
Por cierto, se llama "Poop Hair", no "Poop Head", eso significa cabeza de caca en inglés XD espero que me entiendas bien, mi español está mal

Sí, hablo español, aunque no es nada perfecto jajaja. Hay muchas versiones de Yume Nikki: originalmente salio el 26 de junio de 2004, con la version 0.00. Seguía actualizando hasta 0.10, lo cual fue lanzado el primer de octubre de 2007. De momento, solo podemos jugar las versiones 0.04, 0.06 (este video), 0.09, y 0.10, claro. Las versiones anteriores tienen muchas conexiones con muchos mundos diferentes, y solamente hay dos eventos eliminados: el de este video y otro en este: th-cam.com/video/nH-jHO4vqLI/w-d-xo.html Si quieres jugar algunas, hay un fan de este juego hispanohablante, Eloy, tiene videos en su canal de las versiones antiguas, y seguro que puedes descargarlas ahí. First, I downloaded version 0.06 of Yume Nikki (www.mediafire.com/file/15c33918e1hl13p/yumenikki0.06.lzh), and then I went to the Checkered Tile Path. Afterwards, I interacted with Mafurako and she teleported me to the first location you see in the video. This event was replaced by the White Desert in later versions.
