I humbly believe, we dived too deep into Weberian ideas while not discussing other theories, not just sociological but even many historical and geographical factors at play, most of these communities have originated close to each other is there a reason for it?

Lesser social taboo on maritime trade plus the Jainism and foreign influence of Greeks and Arabs. 3. Presence of kinship ties within business communities. 4. Exposure to and control of the moneylending business for first mover's advantage. 5. Lack of economic mobility in India (especially downward), easier to carry forward any generational advantages. 6. Lack of free market in India thus a lack of need to consistently deliver on any ascribed business skills. Certain advantages = Success in business of XYZ = XYZ picks certain values which travel through generations = XYZ was successful because of these values in the first place (Protestant Ethics), my doubt is why couldn't the success itself reward certain behavior which became part of these social ethics later on.
