i can tell you in a little text 🤭, ARTPOP was supposed to be a visual album, 15 music videos and like 5 official singles, but everything was screwed up after her manager and part of her team left her and betray her (you can see this as an artistic representation in G.U.Y.) and Gaga was left sad and depressed, the whole ARTPOP roll-out and promotion calendar was cancelled. The official singles are: Applause (lead single) Do What U Want (the mv was cancelled) G.U.Y. (last single, she even payed herself for it with her own money because her label refused to promote it as a single) i hope this clear things up and helps you!! ✌🏼😁 ALSO, just ended the video and you have to do an acoustic version of Applause, it sounded really good on guitar!!

Her motor is the applause, the only reason for her to exist, for the entreteiner to exist, the clown trying to make you feel good and laugh in a way. I agree with your feelings on the ability to go back and experience her career now but feeling sad that you missed the wave when it was happening. I was always aware of her but in 2019 I watched her Gaga 5 foot 2 documentary and just became so interested in her as a person. Since then I believe I have watched everything she has ever done and I study her to try to understand her. I was VERY LUCKY that I got to grow up during the Michael Jackson years. I feel blessed for that. I remember how it felt to be a fan and be part of a huge wave. I missed that with her to an extent but I am catching up.

Super catchy dance song. Is that Gaga's bread and butter? Maybe. When i first heard this song, i did not realize she was spelling out the word APPLAUSE in the background and i was really impressed that she came up with a lyric that flowed over the chorus melody so well, both rhythmically and in the notes she chose. But was kinda disappointed when i figured out she was just spelling out the word, really wish that would have been a clever line that added something to the song.
