Thanks for this episode. I'm a modern law enforcement officer who is descended from a long line of law enforcement going back to before American independence, with both my Native and European American ancestors. I recently discovered that a cousin of one of my Cherokee ancestor that was alive (and remained behind in North Carolina) during Indian Removal had a brother that survived the Trail of Tears and his son later became a member of the US Indian Police and was a deputy US Marshall in the Indian Territory. It's pretty awesome that this guy would have known Sam Sixkiller, Ned Christie and Bass Reeves - all of whom are personal heroes of mine. I may not be directly descended from him, but a cousin is still family.

Great video as always! I truly loved seeing the Confederate Terry's Texas Rangers badge. They were the 8th Texas Cavalry CSA. Their last battle occurred about an hour and a half from me near Smithfield NC at the Battle of Bentonville. They gave that Yankee Kilpatrick hell. Terry's Texas Rangers are one of my favorite Cavalry units. Instead of a sword they carried a Texas d-guard Bowie knife that was half as long as a sword. I have seen one that was approximately 2 feet long. They also carried at least 2 revolvers and a sawed off double barrelled shotgun. Sorry for such a long post. Keep the videos coming my friend.

I have spent a lot of time watching documentary's and educational programming on the American West and through the years I have never seen a more educational and entertaining channel then the Arizona Ghostriders.
Imagine how much more students would get out of their history class with a little bit of humor.
I'm 60 now and still remember the name of my senior years Western Expansions professor who lite the flame in me for the American West. I'm certain that if Santee would have been my educator back then I would have pursued this as my life's passion on a professional level instead of just being a fella who drinks and knows stuff🤠

I'm kind of partial to badges. I've got a collection of badges and patches in my office. It originally started with places I've worked and branched out to many other places. First time you pin that badge is different kind of feeling. You stand in front of the mirror for what seemed like hours; looking at that badge and thinking about the gravity of what you are going to be doing.

The first bag is were made out of 10 a lot of times the sheriff's badge was made either by the sheriff or his kids it did not get to be until the late 1800 when they started making badges I do believe the first badges that were mass-produced was Texas Rangers and US Marshals and then some of them were made out of tin and the reason why you do not see those type badges anymore is because they rusted away I do believe they have a few in a museum somewhere in Texas

Santee...Always a great morning to wake up to a new video. Why don't you sell reproduction badges with Arizona Ghostriders on it? It would be great swag that, me personally, would proudly show off. But only cool people in the know would appreciate it

Could you do a video on how people disposed of trash in the west. Did they have dump truck Wagons??

I wonder if they mostly just dumped trash as they went. The Oregon Trail is know for all the furniture that was dumped as they traveled. I was also told that peach cans were everywhere. I would really enjoy a video about this like Arks Rapid asked.

Could you guys do a video in the US Cavalry? I know it isn't your usual video, but they were prevalent through old west railroad towns. And we're often seen guarding trade posts.
