To be honest I don't think I'll ever be happier to see the end of a year more than this one. It has been awful for me.
I think people always tell themselves that, however if you look back 5, 10, 15 years you only really remember the positives and big events, never really the bad things.
So stay positive!! As a couple years from now you may tell yourself the same thing, yet you were able to get through it 😁
My year has been pants too, and I dont think 2023 will improve things.

@@l_fieldy6635 Nah my feelings about 2022 are set in stone for me. I had two grandparents die in two months, I returned to college to sort my life out only to get withdrawn because I grew an animosity against my group because they were a bunch of dicks, I damn nearly lost my best friend, I felt lonely a lot of the time, and I've had plenty of outbursts due to the overload in stress. So... yeah, I think that puts my feelings about this year into enough context.
Lots of people have died wearing flip plops (or thongs as we call them here in Australia.) People have also dies wearing hats and underpants, not that any on those items of clothing were responsible for the deaths though.
What's a thong called then ? Hopefully not a flip flop 😆

A friend of mine was driving wearing his flip flops and he somehow got the bottom of the flip flop under the pedal and his foot on the petal and he couldn't get his foot off to put on the brake. He had a couple of very scary moments before he got his foot off. 🤣🤣

Yeah you shouldn't wear flip-flops while driving. It's not uncommon for that to happen. If you don't have other shoes with you, take them off, it's safer to drive barefoot.

In some places in Australia ( which is where I'm watching from ) it can get up to 45 degrees in Summer ☀️. ♑️✍️🇦🇺🇳🇴
@@Friendship1nmillion to be fair tho you’d expect that kind of heat in Australia but the UK Isn’t a hot country so 39 degrees C is unheard of here.
I think it got to 40 degrees in some parts of the UK. Who knows what next summer will be like

You guys call 39.1 degrees the hottest day ever, here in Australia, we call that the Thursday
That was beaten the next day though, when it reached 40.3ºC. That's well above the average January temperature for most parts of Australia, so no. Your record temperatures are much higher, of course but that isn't what you were implying. Who would have thought that different places have different climates, eh? You learn something new every day... ;) :P :)
Not the same heat. Australia is mostly a dry desert, the UK is incredibly humid it’s sticky and uncomfortable, like being in a rainforest. The infrastructure in the UK also isn’t designed for excess heat either; houses are designed to retain heat, heavily insulated, air conditioning also isn’t standard and the asphalt on the roads can in some cases, melt. Just as Scandinavia is designed to withstand its notoriously cold weather (often in the minuses), Australia is built around its own climate. The same goes for the UK. You can’t compare the two, Aussies in negative temperatures with thick snow and ice and the nation would go to a standstill. It’s no different. Our countries are built to accommodate our climates. Milton Keynes has never been coined the British Maldives.

@@itsafunnyoldworld Considering 16C is too hot for my pastey white skin, I'd rather not. My skin doesn't burn,it blisters in sun, then peels yellow crusty scabs then I have to put on antiseptic cream to prevent infection.. I am essentially allergic to the sun.
Hence why I don't go on holiday, that and the fact the animals on the farm will die if I leave. 🤷♀️ then the UK doesn't get fed.

Gonna be leaving college next year and going into work. Damn I'm terrified, The current economy is fucked, I hate change and leaving people I know (and obviously you get to know a lot of people in college) is a nightmare haha 😂 But hey, science is amazing so it'll be a blast!
