      @pEW pEW Ok then simp. Hopefully all the landowners in your local area stop maintaining those public right of ways and see how much time and money the locals spend on money and maintenance. Every piece of land in this country is owned by someone whether you like it or not, they can't stop you walking through these lands obviously with a public rights of way access, but within in the law they can do what they please with their own land. If they want to keep cattle enclosed on their own fields, then they have the right to do so.

    Many years ago I was hiking on public multi use land (Cyprus Hills in southern Saskatchewan) the trail crossed near a rough
    barn with some cattle grazing nearby.
    When the cattle saw me they became some what disturbed, there was some shaking of heads and stomping of feet. Knowing absolutely nothing of cattle I quickly moved away and put something between my self and the cattle.
    I have always wondered if I over reacted but from this video and the comments I see that I made the right choice.

    Rule 101, if walking your dog through a field of cows is truly unavoidable, is to drop the lead if the cows charge you. The cows will go for the dog and the dog will likely be able to outrun the cows - then you're just looking for your dog (or hopefully leaving the field and having good recall), rather than heading off to hospital

    On my farm, we have Private signs on every cow field, and so many people trespass anyway.
    Yet to have one serious injury, but we temper the bulls and the cows tend to follow.
    However, even I would think twice about entering a field with a new born. The bulls would normally protect us, the ones they're used to, but if anyone else, new to them, were to enter, the bull, the mother and entire herd would congregate in a corner and stampede any threat.
    I've seen it done several times, but the threat, muppets trying to shortcut through the farm, managed to evade over barbed fences. In some cases, into another cow field to experience the same again.
    I just hope this farmer had such signs on his gates. We can't warn people of bulls anymore, just PRIVATE LAND.
    I also hope this dog owner has survived her cancer.

  • @lizzegerius9642
    @lizzegerius9642 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Yes terrible thing to happen. Cows are not aggressive to people normally. But if they have calves then they will attack dogs. People are oblivious to the rules of the countryside.. not considering the farmers or the cows just claiming their rights of way.. I feel for her.. but please always walk with a stick and never take a dog into a field of cows with calves.. dogs are predators cows smell that. And now the farmer has to pay the price.. insurance claims will up his premium in an already tricky time.. now they get no subsidies from the eu. Be careful people. Use your brains. Also consider the farming community. The most aggressive cows are European breeds that are beef cattle. I live in germany and the cows here are not friendly at all. Not at all like the British breeds. These are modern breeds of cows with low fat content.. and are really aggressive.

    • @nevillemason6791
      @nevillemason6791 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In England and Wales the 'public trails' are an ancient legal right of way often from one village to the next usually across farmland probably used for several hundred years . They're either a 'public footpath' (walkers only) or a 'bridleway' (walkers, horses or cyclists can use). You're only trespassing on private land if you stray off the footpath/bridleway. In Scotland there's a general legal 'right to roam'. You can walk anywhere in the countryside within reason.

    Not to put any blame on the lady, she most likely did not know at all, but people really need to understand that cattle ain't like pets.
    Sure maybe someone had a cow as a pet and all that, but most of em are still semi wild. Dogs are still a danger to their brain, ESPECIALLY when with calf.
    Just don't walk through the field. Not with dog and not without.

    Stupid for walking with dogs in a feilds. I feel sorry for the cows too because they're treated badly by humans and they and their babies slaughtered. No winners here. Please don't walk in feilds with dogs especially.

    Doctors more worried about covid than anything else. Absolutely shocking to see.

      Their own life matters as well. They have to be cautious to protect themselves and the patient so can do the correct procedure.

      Because if they have Covid they cannot work…
      Imagine the majority of doctors, nurses, paramedics etc getting infected by Covid.
      Then they all cannot work.
      I think that’s worse than potentially losing a patient.
