Hi! I have the same Kindle and I am able to borrow books from the library as well! They changed the name to Libby in the states but it’s the same thing! Unfortunately you cant have the app in the kindle itself. I usually borrow the book on my phone then transfer it to my kindle. It’s a little more work but it still works! In case you are ever stuck with just your Kindle :). I love your channel btw!
The option to transfer books from the Libby app to your Kindle is only available in the US, so it would be pretty much useless to buy a Kindle if you don’t live in the US and mainly borrow your books from the Libby app or don’t read books from Kindle.
the functionality is based on the library location - so if you have an american library card you can send from libby to kindle directly. there are subreddits for card swapping or you can always leech off an american friend. i think there might be other options too but not super familiar with them.
I have the same two e-readers for that very reason. Love using the Libby app with the Kobo. In Canada, we aren’t able to borrow library books direct to the Kindle.
I have a Kobo but the only books that I want to read that are on Kobo plus are classics, and classics are cheap, I would have to read 3-4 classics in a month to make it worth it, and I'm not sure I would actually succeed in doing that 😂

You can't send books from Libby to Kindle in Canada (her Libby screenshot said toronto public library). Not sure why but I have heard that before.

Kobo has kobo plus! But theres probably big gaps in book availability:)
Because amazon keeps authors in this binding contract😢

Sorta kind the same but for me my Kobo is my main reader, and I use my Kindle is for exclusives.
Same. Pocketbook and Kindle.
If Libby/Overdrive worked with the Kindle (for Canadians), I would likely own just the one e-reader, but I have both for the same reason.
Can I bluetooth pdf to Kandle? And takes note while I'm reading?
What model kobo is that?
Was wondering the same!
