The long awaited Calibre tutorial! 💕 I'm sorry it took me a while, idk if you can hear it but I was so (and still am) sick, my voice was GONE. But I'm doing a teeny bit better now, so here's the tutorial! If you have any further questions, please let me know and I'll answer as best as I can 🌷
Thank you! This is so helpful! Especially knowing that I can reformat covers, because some of my covers on my Kobo are different sizes and I'm dying to try and fix it
Thank you so much for this!! I recently got a kobo ereader and this helped so much! I do have a question about changing the cover of the book, since this is something I tried doing, but it didn’t change the cover of the book on the kobo😔😔
@@wendesday4300 yay! Glad it was helpful and I'm happy you're here 🥰 Hmm, maybe it also needs to connect to the device twice to change the cover? I never ran into this issue before. I create a PNG file as my cover, upload that to Calibre and save, plug my kobo in and it should be changed. Let me know if it still doesn't work !
Sometimes you need update the Metadata again. Just connect your device, go to Calibre and then go to Device on the top and update the Metadata. Maybe that helps.
If the tip from the comment above doesn't work, you can check this (something I found on a forum): Also make sure you have Update metadata checked on the third configuration page for the driver. That's in the main calibre preferences page under Sending books to device, make sure Metadata management is set to automatic management. Let me know if it works or if you need more help! ❤️
Awesome tutorial. For some reason my kobo isn't showing up on calibre. I have a Clara 2e. Has anyone else had this issue? Of course I just bought like 30 ebooks online and this is my first time using calibre.
Oh no, that's no fun! I don't have an exact answer for this, but when I googled 'Clara 2e not showing in calibre' I found a reddit thread and mobileread forum with some useful tips and solutions, hope that helps to figure out your issue! 💕

Thank you!!

Thanks for pronouncing it calib-RAY I feel like everyone always says it wrong 😆
@@Mollie.f hahah honestly I never even looked up how to pronounce it, this is just what felt natural. Thank you for being here! 🥰
It’s pronounced cali-ber according to the ‘About’ page on their website!😂
This is so helpful! I was wondering where you get your free ebooks from? I haven’t been having the greatest luck with zlibrary anymore
I still use them, but through their discord. Or Annas arch!ve (:
Vk and zlibrary through discord is what I use to get my free epub books
i got mine from ocean of pdf they had all the books i was looking for even super niche ones! hope this helps!
thankyou for the tutorial! 💞 i try step by step but mine can't show the series :( it say i have not series yet

Easier way to update the “Author sort” field is to click the green arrow located between the “Author(s)” field and the “Author sort” field.
Can you add multiple libraries on kobo?
With Overdrive? I personally have never used it, but I know from other people that you need to log in to each library individually 🥲🥲

If you need to get them first, then most of them aren't gonna be free
Since Kobo is an Android tablet with a browser, couldn't you just go to Gutenberg and download the books directly?
@@thomask1424 you could! But the browser is quite slow and not optimized for complicated websites, so it's all up to you really (:
Yes
