It was a good movie. It had memorable characters, and it knew what it wanted to be; a kickass WW2 flick with an interesting take on the zombie genre. I just wish it was longer.
Only charcater I remember is Boyce because he was the typical you're not cut out for this but save the day at the end character. Had high Hope's for this.. but it was just meh, neither great or terrible.
Overlord is the best Wolfenstein movie we'll ever get. Like seriously we don't need a Wolfenstein movie this is perfect and I agree let this be a single movie this doesn't need a sequel unless they do a spiritual sequel replacing the Nazi zombies with Soviet Wereapes (Look it up, there's a documentary about how Stalin wanted to create an Army of Half Human, Half Ape supersoldiers.)
Nah, I think a sequel would be a take on the CIA's MK ULTRA program going horribly wrong, as opposed to creating regenerating zombies, it's more like, very resilient brainwashed crimes against humanity. That would be hyper badass. Especially if it gives the ability to have JTF2 soldiers be a focus. I'd gladly pay for that shit. After all, their motto is, "We Will Find A Way". They will get it done, no matter the cost. Not to mention the contrast of fun banter to some of the most cold hearted and emotionless killing that cna be shown. This is like wetwork, except less...slimy and horrifying. Their basically seal team, but even more absurd. That or CSOR.
21minute I saw it today ... only person in theatre also lol

This movie was fucking solid. It's like a legit Captain America prequel cuz remember, Dr. Erskine worked for Red Skull before moving to the US. So the serum in Overlord is practically an uncompleted first version of Cap's super soldier serum
Just watched this movie and I must say...I absolutely LOVED it! It was an amazingly well-done mix of a war film and horror movie. The gore effects were fantastic and the opening scene is one of the most AMAZING I've seen in a war movie, let alone any movie. You should definitely go in expecting nothing more than an enjoyable runtime and I'm sure you'll come away satisfied.
Wait the fuck? How? The clover field monster was not awake at this time. This is WWII, not Modern times. In order for that to be possible, we have to go into some Cod zombies shit with time travel.
I for one wanted to see more sickening zombie transformations or just see more grotesque zombies period like the lady who was just a head attached to her spine.
It was a typical nothing really happens until the end and you barely find out what's going on, and I feel they stole from inglorious bastards a lot in this for some reason as well.
Don’t down play what Blacks did during any war. You can go by what western education has muddled and half ass taught. Or you can think for yourself and understand if we were slaves, and fought during the civil war, which we did. We fought in any major and non major battle in US times. Recent or past.
Okay you all are missing the point of what I said. I never said black Americans weren't important In the war I'm just saying it's inaccurate for a black man to be in a white unit of screaming eagles.
Definitely recommend seeing this. I forgot midway through the movie that this was the film that was said to be connected to the Cloverfield films........then I just continued to panic and be excited at the same time over how great and awesome this movie was! 8/10
Are you kidding? In seventh grade I wrote a story about nazi zombies and one of my mane characters was a French rebel named chloe. And they get there from a plane crash.
@@edthoreum7625, could definitely work. Could possibly find themselves in Asia, as well. Wasn't Japan responsible for conducting horrible experiments, as well?
Dude this movie was so cool, just a fun, awesome, cool film. Like zombies are unrealistic so it doesn’t matter if the rest of the movie is a lil far fetched, but it’s set in a pretty cool setting in ww2. Small scale, bare bones, action packed, ww2 set, suspense filled, fun ass movie. Love it.

That's when we see the full extent of what the Nazi's have been working on. Longer and it dragged a little bit in the middle but once the final act started shit got real.
The ending sucked

Overdone? Sure.
But if done in the same stylistic as Overlord then fuck yeah
More like COD Zombies

The German scientist you showed when you said “red skull jr” he was in captain America as a German scientist
👀
I knew I recognized him

And to think, the gore is pretty much majority practical effects. And when it is digitalized, it's done smartly and still has the impact of practical.
This movie was severely underrated
Random shoehorn cloverfield theory:
What if the “serum” is actually the blood or decomposed remains of a clover monster?!?!?
No. They explained what the serum was.

The 2 things I didnt like about the movie is, it could've been scarier, and the zombies are more of a superhuman then the undead
zombies have same kenetics as 22days later?
If they were just undead it would have been a by the book zombie flick. At least this was a bit more original

Hi random person scrolling through the comment this is a really good video
Thanks i will now watch it
