Suppose you portrayed a platoon of one-legged 5-feet tall human soldiers fighting invaders from Saturn in WWII. The former is infinitely likelier than Saturn soldiers, but people would correctly accept the fictional format of unearthly invaders for entertainment's sake but reject the notion of human mini-warriors with one leg as contrary to what we know of WWII . Same thing applies here.
Reminds me of the movie "Shock Waves," about experimental Nazi supersoldiers caged in a scuttled cargo ship because they were untameable, and who were released when an underwater quake broke the ship up. It's one of the best "zombie" movies I've seen, starring Peter Cushing and John Carradine.

His parachute opens at the last second, multiple airplanes crashing down almost hitting him. he crashes in the water barely escaping death by drowning, crawls out of the water (that is on fire because of debris) and realises that he is very close to an Anti-Air gun...also a german patrol happens to be nearby. this isn't inspired by "historical events"...it's CoD straight copying "Overlord"
Lol to them these machines were cutting edge state of the art future technology. A lot of people that manned these machines had hardly seen technology more advanced than a mid 1930s tractor on a farm in the middle of nowhere. Then one day they find themselves invading another country from the sky which at the time was still a very new concept.

I know it is ironic that there are people pointing out in a zombie movie that the black paratrooper is not historically accurate, but you have to understand that these are the same people who freak out when they see a GI in June 1944 drinking from a canteen that wasn't issued to soldiers until July 1944.

I was a black infantry paratrooper during the Afghan campaign and even I was like, there were no black airborne personnel in WW2. Quit being so soft, its not historically accurate but still a cool scene.
