Thanks a ton, I was able to resolve this issue in my ice maker because of this guide. Just in case anyone comes across this in the future and doesn't have the tools, I was able to jump the connections using a twist tie and melt the line using a hair dryer.
So when I squirter hot water into the fill tube the red light comes on, within 30 minutes it's off and I repeat it but it never makes ice, any idea what's going on?
Still waiting to find a video wherein they show how to FIX the condition that results in the frozen fill tube. My inlet valve is new and I raised the freezer temperature, but STILL it wants to freeze in ~1 month's time and this constant maintenance is a headache. Note the icemaker is also new and I've had the same issue with both the old one and the new one......
Mine is not producing ice. When I short between T&H the ice maker is not moving. Also, when I close the flap on the left the light is not solid red like yours. Does this mean the icemaker is busted?
What not just access the fill tube with the refrigerator set to OFF. Check to see if the line is frozen. If it is then apply steam or hot air to thaw out the blocked line. No need to jump any panel. If water cascades down from the tube, voilá, you’ve solved the problem. Also, you might want to set a small catch bowl under the fill tube once the ice melts.

What cause the line to freeze up? Was the source of this issue resolved? Otherwise this same problem will come back again in future, won't it?

Cee Jay Some models actually have built in heaters inside the full tube to prevent it from freezing. It’s possible you have a model with a bad heater.
Mine too! It's a kitchen aid/ Whirlpool model# GZ25FSRXYYO. We have to remove the ice machine,defrost, reassemble and do it again in 4-6 months.
Need to know how to prevent as well
