Hill got so technically outmaneuvered that made him totally miss really bad and when Alex countered boom lights out. I hope that Hill learns from this and use it to his advantage as he moves on. Jamahal's still young and is a really good fighter too, he surely can bounce back from this as long as he doesnt take things too personally and stop being salty, keeps his ego in check, and stay committed to fighting. I am a fan of both fighters and wanted to see them facing each other again but to an instant classic - where Jamahal may still lose but with dignity and pride because he fought with his heart and soul.

This should be another example of how to weaponise a fighter’s ego against himself. Hill is a hot head on social media for some reason. One time he got crazy fans to surround a UFC bus where he was on along with other fighters.
It’s been a long time theory of mine that one could use a black hat strategy of using bots to attack a fighter’s ego so that he will forfeit the coaches gameplan to “prove” himself and gain respect. Ego and delusion is needed to some degree to actually choose to be a fighter but those can be psychologically weaponised against them as we have seen so many times.

I noticed at 11:10 that Alex is timing Jamahal's movement by holding/tapping gloves in sets of 2 or 3. You can see this happening from the start of the fight. I think Alex had Jamahal's timing down pat and was counting in his head "1... 2... STRIKE" just before he knew Jamahal's left was going to fire off, so he landed clean on the face 0.1s before he got hit. I remember in the video on Korean Zombie vs Max Holloway, DJ said that because Max landed slightly before and more flat on the surface, it took some momentum out of Korean Zombie's kinetic chain that led to the strike, and that could have been what saved Max from a double K.O. moment. I love fight science.

Note that during the whole fight against Hill, Poatan only used his left side, punches and kicks. Not a single hit with his right side. Great strategy against a southpow fighter, both defensively and offensive. So impressive
