    Success! Yours was the best tank restoration I've ever seen. The outside of that tank looked SO good, too. The inside? Not so much. You fixed that, though. Hopefully those parts you ordered arrive soon, and you can take this Triumph out on a fun road trip. Be careful, though...this Spitfire MAY worm its way back into your good graces...and you won't want to sell it.🤣🤣Aloha!

    So what was that black canister on top of the tank and did you put it back in it’s original position

      @@frankmgallo after some googling, I think that black canister on the fuel tank is called a fuel vapor separator canister. Seems to be an evap/emissions thing that works in hand with the dual charcoal/carbon canisters in the engine bay.
      I was able to put it back in its position, it’s just not bolted down the same way, instead I mostly just wedged it in its place.

      So you shouldn’t get gas vapors in the car when the top is up hopefully
