I love watching your videos. You have an amazing ability to be a family vlogger without exploiting your family. You have such a fun and varied type of videos. Thank you.
My oldest daughter was running around barefoot in december one year. She was like 5 or 6 at the time. It was cold, but there was no snow on the ground. It was a warmer winter that year. An older lady told me to put shoes and a coat on her. I told her if she wanted to try to be my guest.
My oldest is autistic and cold doesn't bother her and it was like 50 outside and she was running around on dry brown grass. She was loving it.
That last hack 😂😂😂😂 BRILLIANT!!!
You're so lovely, Angie. We are two very different people, I'd collapse with exhaustion if I had your life, but you're so genuine.
As a mom, my favorite thing about the summer is not washing and matching socks. Such a freedom! 😂 seriously, though!
"Let them go barefoot!" Amen sister!!! Mom of 8 here as well and I'm embarrassed to say that there have been times in the fall where we're loading up to go somewhere and I realize a kiddo doesn't actually have shoes that fit because she's been barefoot all summer long and all to be found are church shoes. Oops! 😬🙃
Thank you! Mom of 5 (my oldest is about to be 8) and I have definitely had this happen 😆
Miss Angela these are so good! A funny thing about letting kids go barefoot is that I’m from here in Georgia and I never wear shoes if I don’t have to, but my husband is from Brooklyn and would NEVER go barefoot. I’m working on him with the kiddos, it would take a lot of the hassle out of getting them outside 😂. These tips are SO GOOD, can’t wait to try them!!
I have been following you for many years. Now I am pregnant with my #7 and don't know anyone with that many kids 😊 So I love your Videos.
On a completely unrelated note, your waves are lookin awesome! I'd love to know what products have been working for you
Re: the color-coded plates and such, I put an initial on the tag of our towels so each kid has a towel and I know whose is on the floor. 😂
Haha, brilliant! Little rascals!
lol hack number 10 makes me think of Mrs Doubtfire when Robin Williams says "Leyla, don't make me get the hose!"
Love these! 7 kiddos and that popsicle in a Stanley is going to be awesome!! 👏
Love it!!! Thanks for sharing
Excellent,as always!!! Awesome info delivered in such a cute & entertaining way :)
Angela!! I love watching you. I'm not a mom yet.
Pretty pretty please make a video about snowflake adoption in relation to your religious beliefs. ❤I have watched your other snowflake videos, and I want so much more information! I have always considered this type of adoption. My brothers were IVF, and they always thought it was sad that there were more siblings who were created but never brought to birth. I want to know what you think!!
Omg pls give us the info on your hair products your waves look really good !
Love your hair like that ❤
Really great tips here, Angela! I really appreciate your channel and all the research that goes into your posts 🙏
My kids pay in the hose all summer long. I rarely bathe them. I'm totally soaping them up this year!!
I remember many years ago, when school was finally, those first few days of being barefoot outside, we had rocks and gravel, and each step was like walking on hot coals. After a week, running and jumping was easy as pie!
We freeze those yogurt tubes to take to the splash pad. A couple hours in when the kids are ready for a snack, the yogurt is somewhat thawed and ready to eat. :) It's almost like a popsicle, and it's my three kids' favorite way to eat yogurt.
Color coding is the best. We have color coded towels. And we hang charms on the handles of the kids glasses (we use Irish coffee mugs because they are bottom heavy and rarely tip over)
Fantastic!!
Love love love!!!!!!
More of these!!!!
Our kids are barefoot 95% of the time and love a good water hose bath! 😂😂 They actually think it’s hilarious and awesome when we bring the soap outside and they get to scrub down after a fun summer day.
Ok, the bubble one is genius! I’m definitely trying that
I love the barefoot suggestion. At our co-ops and meetups it’s totally the norm for most, if not all, kiddos to ditch the shoes🦶🏼
Stop using your age as an excuse.
At any age, lift weights.
At any age, start business.
At any age, climb mountains.
At any age, write books.
At any age, create a new you.
You’re not dead until you’re dead!
Growing up in Jamaica we showered 2x per day. Since living in the States for 20 yrs Ive probably showered 2x per day for less than 5 days😅… like I cant even imagine doing that again, lol
I know the benefits of going barefoot, but in Texas we have snakes, fire ants, stickers, rocks and pin worms! 😩 I just don’t think I can make it work!
I think it depends on location for sure!! If you're in an area with lot of woods. Most people's yards are mostly grass. I grew up with copious amounts of sweet gum balls everywhere. Your feet eventually tuffen up. I could run right over those things all day as a kid. Ialso learned it hurt less to run fast and light lol! Feet of leather!
My kids are barefoot in Texas all the time 😂 they learn to avoid the fire ants and feet definitely toughen up to rocks and stickers 🥰 snakes are a problem with or without shoes unless they’re wearing full height thick leather boots 😆
What about bees!? As a first time mom I’m terrified. Any tip for getting the stinger out? I know it’s a dumb question
I grew up in East Texas with sticker burr, fire ants, and hornets. Barefoot every year! The only time we were required to wear shoes was if it was muddy (mom was a neat freak) or we were clearing brush out of the woods. Hello boi de ark trees and locust vines. They will be fine!! And much better for it.
@@Dana-mb1hdI actually haven’t had any of my kids stung by bees yet! I have several times and I usually take a credit card and swipe it out with almost no reaction. I got stung by bees several times as a kid even though I wasn’t nearly as “free and wild” as my kids outside haha. My son got stung by a wasp and he cried and had some redness but was totally fine. Now, if there was a serious allergy it would be a bigger concern of mine for sure! I think my kids also have a really good idea of what to avoid/what is safe from an early age because they’re interacting with the natural world/critters so much.
We were barefoot too they are in Thier twenties now and very healthy. Outside shower set ups are brilliant. A couple of garden tiles a hook ok the wall and a shower head. Done!
There are some really solid ideas, thank you!
When I was a kid I used to walk barefoot over to my grandparents' house a couple of streets away. As soon as it's warm enough I let my daughter run barefoot as much as possible.
Are you able to have multiple players on that summer slide game? How do you create more than one account? I downloaded it but only see one player option.
Hey! Joe from Optimal Math - just saw this comment while watching the video and thought I could help.
The account is linked to your apple or google ID and works across ALL devices that are linked to that login/account. We wanted to make it super easy for kids to login and play by themselves without needing a parent to type in a password. The trade off is that its only one player, however the content does cover essentially k-6 content. There's no multiple login options. But purchasing it opens it up to all of your devices and works for the whole family, unlike some of our competitors that charge subscriptions per kid/family rates.
Thanks and hope y'all enjoy playing!
I LOVE YOUR VÍDEOS AND HINTS ❤KISSES FROM AN ADOPTOVE MOM OF THREE IN BRAZIL
Personally, I didn’t let my kid go barefoot at a public playground or restroom with ll those germs on the ground, benches or wherever they are staring where animals can pee or pop people spit it’s disgusting & dragging all that to your vehicle and house! Now barefoot at my own home or yard of course I did it as a kid.
Bubble idea I like 👍
I really missed all the projects around your garden and animals with the all family
That’s on my vlog channel :) @thisgatherednest
Love the barefoot tip, but we have free ranging chickens.....how do you do it with chickens and dogs roaming?
I love the clock one but don’t know if it would actually make life easier.
i think it totally depends on the type of kid, to be honest. Some kids just need visual representation of time and I think it could really help for that kinda kid :)
I could see it being helpful for a block schedule. Not micro
Cant do bare foot in our back yard which makes me so so so sad. We have a spruce tree with EVIL needles.
Then in the local park, there's dog poop and glass. So its only on the beach we can be really bare feeted
I only buy barefoot or minimalist shoes for our family. You get the barefoot from and health without the dangers of stepping on who-knows-what. I constantly see other kids taking their shoes off at school and the park though-- they definitely crave the foot freedom.
I’m afraid my young children is used to using straws to drink… 😅 can’t have them drink bobbles 🥴
I would use a pen, remove the ballboint I guess we could call it, the thing inside and blow bubbles like thet when little( 28-30 yeras ago) I' m 35 and back in the day we would prepare the bubble mixture with soap or shampoo in a glass then take the pen and go outside and play 😅
smart idea! 💫
When mine were young I carried drinks coasters in my bag. We used to go to different places over the summer where from time to time we visited a play park that sold drinks. The kids drink went on Thier own coaster and they could run off play and return when they wanted to drink from Thier own glass. No more which one is mine.....
Girl, take those Hawaiian roll ham and cheeses and bake them with a little garlic butter topping 😋
I'd rather have them paint each other if you have several 😂😂 but it's a good idea 😂
I like to put bubble bath or liquid bath soap in their kiddy pool while they play around in swimsuits. Instant bath!
🙌
💜
Just a note kids tend to like to run around and blow bubbles at the same time. It's not really safe to be running around with a straw on your mouth. So I just keep that in mind.
I hate to be this person but I need to share with you that last summer my 4yo stabbed the metal straw to her throat by accident. She is okay but if running around with straws please be careful. She was just drinking, not even running 🥲
I thought of this, too! I stabbed myself with a plastic Dunkin straw one time and ended up with a big circular cut in the back of my mouth 😳 We use silicone straws, and those should work just as well for bubbles (except my 2 year old would totally just drink them🤦🏽♀️🫧
Oh god I’m so sorry! I’m terrified of that.
@@s.a.6082 yes it was horrible! A lot of blood 😬 thank you
Yey for us who were young moms and married young. I have been a mom for over 17 years too now! Go us.
You know what I don't like? All the wasted plastic from bubbles when it is easy to just make your own with soap and water and buying little wands or making your own even.
I agree with barefooted children. I can walk on anything because I was barefoot all the time. Women are all like, "Ew callouses," but I am like, "Yey callouses!"
❤
I absolutely love your channel, and I don't even have kids. 😂 I could listen to you all day!
Cant handle the barefoot tip because I hate dirty feet 🙈 and allll the floor cleaning. (We are a no shoe house)
Where’s the link to the “benefits of going barefoot info”??😜🦶🏼
whoops! Just added the links! :)
@@angela.braniff thanks, Angie!!😘😘😘
Lately i got interested in crypto but has no idea on how to go about it. How does it work please.
As a beginner, it's essential for you to have a mentor that is verified by finra and SEC to keep you accountable. I'm guided by a widely known crypto consultant Stacey Macken
