I'm glad you folks in the US like our Commodore SS. It's the last car to be designed and built in Australia, once the home of rear-drive sedans. After the VF (model designation of this sedan) the huge production line and presses at Holden's Australian manufacturing plant at Elizabeth in South Australia will become silent...the factory stripped of all its robots and lines and sent part and parcel to China and Korea. This will happen at the end of this year (2017) and it's a crying shame. The beancounters at GM US have won and us Aussies, who considered Holden "Australia's own car" (the original advertising jingle from the 40s) will wake up to having no more vehicle manufacturing in our country. This will backfire on GM US because Aussies will no longer feel any affiliation with the Holden brand as it transitions to a business importing Korean and European cars. It will be just like any other car brand with no heart-string attachment. So...enjoy what we have sent you. It shows that Aussies could build a world class car and that Holden, once one of GM's smallest overseas divisions, built damn fine automobiles.
I'm very upset to have just learned from your video that there is a station wagon version that Chevrolet decided against importing. I wouldn't have hesitated to purchase one in favor the 2016 Mustang GT I picked up 5 months ago . . .
Exactly right. It's a shame you guys didn't get to experience a wider range of these excellent cars - wagon, ute, and the supercharged HSV range included
+vsboy25 Yeah, feels. I was a bit sad to see that the final Commodore didn't get the more comfortable and cooled seats used in the Chevy SS, plus the awesome Magnetic Ride Control.
Chasing Cars i agree everything should have went into the final series 2. People should not buy them new in my view and buy them second hand as the price does not justify the features given in the Aus variant.only the engine is upgraded really and some tacky rear lights. The US version is the way the SS should be
***** As in typical fashion the Australian consumer is been taken for a ride and milked of money. As people of Australia we need to stand up against such thievery.
+vsboy25 +Baldwynmahem It's crazy but I expect to see most of these features integrated into the final editions of the Commodore. We'll see if they make it into the Director edition that is arriving soon.
goodbye holden well miss you .like every industry going over seas to asian workers .you americans take note vote for the right person or lose your jobs.

Holden🇦🇺2013/17 VF Commodore🔥SS/SS-V🏁Redline/HSV🔥Clubsport🏁G8/Senator🏁Signature/GTS/GTS-R🔥W1 Gen-F (I & II) LSA/LS3/LS7/LS9 Sportwagon (Tourer) & Ute (Maloo)!!!
An Aussie literally reviewed it do you really need the copy paste?
@@zeckor.we’ll then, you too might prefer to also research all the other VF📚models which GM didn’t allow into the US…🇺🇸Lol!?
i'm gonna miss this car. I'm tired of seeing ugly-ass Chargers everywhere
+pontiacGXPfan These are great cars.
+Chasing Cars That they are!
Chargers are awesome looking cars.
+daison96 but not available in manual transmission
daison96 lol

They also have the HSV & Ute that should be imported too

i do not comprehend why the American version , gets better everything and they dont give it in the Australian variant.

***** yes i agree, but all options should be standard with the last of the VF range in Australia.

Looked to pick up a used 2015 but so far none available. $48K out the door for a new leftover '15 currently. 2014's are mid-upper 30's.
These things will be sought-after long after the last new one is delivered in 2017.
My rear seat folds down in a 2014 SS
+NjunThatCould None of the VF-generation Commodore sedans have folding seats from the factory - but there is a pass-through.
+NjunThatCould Then they're broken.
we are all about to lose these sedans to some pisspot Opel something and now opel just got bought by Peugeot. shit its getting worse.
Will be such a shame when they stop manufacturing my fav Ford and Holden models. That Chevy has a seriously ugly badge.
But a lot of Aussies put the badge on there cars
I keep the Chevy badge on

+ALLEN BURGESS We sure will miss it, but important to note the next Commodore will be built in Germany rather than Asia
Are you serious that would be good if true. but I think the long term plan is different as far as us aussies have been told.
+ALLEN BURGESS Yep that's confirmed mate, after VF the next series will be an Opel-produced car based on the Insignia.
Well that's good news at least its at a good place . are you an aussie and how do you get this information .
+ALLEN BURGESS Yes I am. We get our info directly from Holden management.
