As shameful as it is that production of rwd sedans in Australia is gone, it’s great to be in Australia and see people keeping the spirit alive. Vadim Dale awww I thought it worked with the setup you had. Should have just got someone in Aus to hook you up with the kit and interior out of one.
Mitchell Mowday yeh true, still looking at my options. 😉
New sub, just bought a new V6 Commodore LOVE IT!
Good on ya champ, thanks for tuning in. 🤙🏼🇦🇺
This is a awesome car . We own a wm 6.0 ltr . My wife’s car . There was another car that wasn’t built past prototype. Torana v6 twin turbo . It would have been the shit. Love the video . 👍🏻
Mate how good would the twin turbo Torana have been???? Right off its head. Thanks for tuning in Adam and for the kind words. Cheers 🤙🏼🇦🇺
888 comments!! Haha
Love it.
I drive a 2017 Holden Ssv Redline and can’t wait to get that Gen 3 up to this level. Wow mate. Sick car!
Thanks mate, they are unreal cars. 🤙🏼🇦🇺
About time an Aussie reviewed one of these...
be stu have ya seen Part 2 mate? I go into a lot more depth about her.
Cheers 🤙🏼
I'll go see it now mate cheers
be stu 😉👍🏻
Thanks for a great review of a great car 👍
Thank you for tuning in 👍🏻
Awesome review mate! I used to do the exhaust systems for these and previous modlels until closure. I currently have a ve gts and its awesome! Upgrading to the gen f next year, can't bloody wait! Cheers from SA 😀👍
Thanks mate, love the VE GTS. Keep me posted on the upgrade
Absolute beast. You've got yourself another subscriber, mate.
Thanks mate, I appreciate that
V8 Commodores + in-depth reviews + Wanted Dead or Alive = my kind of video!
Came across your vid fucken funny bro and I agree with everything you said. Sending respect from down under
Mitch Menghi ahh good onya Mitch, love getting comments like that from back home, keeps me going. Cheers mate 🤙🏼🇦🇺
I grew up with my dad driving Holdens, the last one being the 1966 Special and then they stopped exporting to South Africa. I am still in love with Holden and wish they would consider exporting to RSA again. Great cars!
WOW, I never actually knew that, what a great piece of Holden history. Thanks for tuning in Martin.
Beautiful car.I havent seen any in Europe.Shame you didnt sell them here.
I only know of them in England as a Vauxhall and Germany as the Opel. I think they would have sold well over there.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
The VF walkinshaw would be a collectible
Also the last turbocharged falcon 6
Great Video,
Hey you should film the reaction of the locals
lol Thats a great idea because they really love this thing over here.
I love what you've done to your car. I'm like you, sick to my stomach that GM in the US pulled out of Australia. Every time I think about it I get angry … grrrr! My "muscle car" is a 2007 VE V8 V Calais customised by HSV. It's now a HSVi [HOLDEN SPECIAL VECHICLE INDIVIDUAL]. I purchased it brand new and cost me $70,000.00 in 2007. I still have it and I love it! It has never failed me EVER. Doug DeMonro gave the CHEVY VF SS a top score of 10 out of 10 for value, he states that he's NEVER done that ever before to any car he's reviewed. Keep up the good work, I love your reviews. DM
David-Michael Young good on ya champ, I appreciate you tuning in David. I bloody love Holdens, yeh I’m biased but they are one hell of a car for the money. Especially the HSV’s. Sounds like yours is a monster. I love the VE’s, there are some design features I’d take from the VE and throw it on the VF. I wish I could get an HSV over here. In Part 2 for this Holden I break down some more specifics of the car due to the amount of questions I got thrown at me (if you haven’t seen Part 2).
Thanks again mate, I love another Holden brother 🤙🏼🇦🇺
Hi again Dale. Thanks for the response and kind words mate. Do you have a private email address? I have a gift for you that I'm sure you'll like. Mine is dmymusic@bigpond.net.au. I'll mail it to you if you don't already have it. I need an email address so that I can sent you a picture of it, as I can't do that on this format. DM
David-Michael Young mate my email is vadimdale22@gmail.com
Thanks brother. No gifts needed, I just like having good people behind the channel such as yourself.
😉👍🏻🇦🇺
Just sent you an email
David-Michael Young 10-4 mate
I love my GT Stinger, but that Commodore is sweet!
Thanks mate. Ive wanted to know for a while now from a Stinger owner, how is it? Any issues with it?
@@vadimdale22 Straight line is epic! Cornering is smooth and she will hang on but you bleed speed quick in the corners.... I found its better to go in slower then you can and punch out hard or there is to much over steer!!!
TheBludgutz interesting, are they AWD? I wasn’t expecting to hear over steer, if any under steer. I must say they are a good looking ride. I watched Doug Demuro do a review on the Stinger and it seemed a legit performer.
@@vadimdale22 I have the RWD model, maybe i don't drive as good as others but yeah, she is beautiful for a stock car! I got the red one, yellow ones have a problem with the paint!
TheBludgutz nice mate. They are a great looking car. I wonder what the hell happened to the yellow paint? Kinda funny really, I can’t imagine owning a yellow car.
In England it's Vauxhall and the rest of Europe it's Opel.. But still a beautie of a car
Yeh that was my bad, I actually knew it was a Vauxhall and for some stupid reason said Opel.
I have a little laugh about it in part 2 th-cam.com/video/r8wQ87yYT6E/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for tuning in Shaun 👍🏼
Yeah i saw part 2 and thank god I'm not a bloody pom. Born Australian living in Holland. Great vlogs mate love the car aswell!!
@@shaunreek3526 lol very nice, Holland sounds like a great place to live. Lucky you
Damn this Holden is fantastic. Headed over to watch Part 2 now
Good on ya mate. Yeh Part 2 is much more detailed and covers some of the questions and concerns people had from Parts 1.
As shameful as it is that production of rwd sedans in Australia is gone, it’s great to be in Australia and see people keeping the spirit alive. You pull up to the lights late at night and have a bit of banter with the guys in the car next to you (I drive a GT-T skyline so get a fair bit of ricebox remarks from the V8 Commodore/Barra Falcon crowd) and then have a bit of a dig to the speed limit, then next light the attitude is completely different and it’s all about how much we like each other’s cars. Love the attitude car guys have here.
Zonda1996 so true and that’s bloody good to hear. Friendly rivalry is a great thing.
I used to own a 5L VT commodore, didn't go that hard but sounded really nice, now I own a VY V6 and a Holden cruze
All real good cars
Hrmm....maybe time to buy another V8 before they are history...i had a vy v6 on my Ps and i couldnt break it....literally....
....now i have a 6.4 SRT 300 but we are going to miss the good ol aussie holdens
Shackleton Shacko yeh I reckon you’re right mate. V8’s are slowly disappearing
@@shackleton274 the magic of an aussie produced V6 engine , they are bulletproof, i saw a comment saying that 'no engine would last for very long if they are thrashed everyday' and i just laughed and though one word "commodore"
That's a very nice car .. fantastic interior great custom bonnet & front end grill n bumper factory sunroof so many things to love 🤣👍👍👍
Thanks brother. I appreciate that 🤙🏼
Just checked ur chanel mate some great stuff
Good on ya Bob, thanks mate.
Ditto
I’ve owned both Holden and Ford... Australia has made some beautiful cars. That sounds great and looks beautiful 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
290boss absolutely agree. I too have owned both Holden & Ford, both Aussie models. Shame they will never be again, doesn’t even sound right saying it 😪.
Thanks mate 🤙🏼🇦🇺
Seriously nice mods Vadim, she is perfect!!
I have a 14 and a 17 and love them both, nice ride Vadim Dale :)
Thanks mate. They are great cars 🤙🏼🇦🇺
Love that bonnet and front bumper!
Thanks mate 🤙🏼🇦🇺
Things are weapons, one scarred the shit out of me going up an on ramp onto the high way and from that moment I wanted it.
Thats GOLD mate!!!
my favorite thing to do with my SS is the Interstate on-ramp...and closest I ever came to a wreck!
@@teller1290 Ditto mate
In Emgland its actually a vauxhall vxr8 because i have one but yours is a newer model. Love it mate👍🏻
The_MooN_MoNkEy yeh I freakin forgot to say Vauxhall. My bad. You guys do get the HSV or similar over there correct?
Cheers mate 🤙🏼
The fact that it had xr8 in its name is kind of ironic
@@vadimdale22 yeah, hsv (holden special vehicles) R8 etc etc.
But its direct competition is (or was) a ford XR8.
So in england you call a holden what a ford is called in aus, go figure....weird
@@trentcage5940 baahaaaa, now that is weird 🤨
Hope you still have the car mate. Love your video and love you bro. You are hilarious.....love my vf ss and can't get enough of it. Still working on my modes. Take care buddy.
Love the bonnet
Cheers mate 🤙🏼
Glad you like your car mate, in Australia the VF HSV is the best aussie car we have by a long shot!! There a great thing.
Cheers.
Absolutely agree, they are bloody unreal. I know there are cars worth 5 times as much but there's just something about Holdens that I love, of course being an Aussie I'm bias 😂🇦🇺🤙🏼
Just picked up my 2016 ssv redline - luvit!
Fuck yes mate. They are a beast. Glad you luv it mate. 🤙🏼🇦🇺
it's 2018 and i need to buy one now, my wife will only expect the best in manual
trent rogers lol, my wife hates mine. She’s says it gives her whiplash 🤣
I just picked up a 04 GTO LS1 T56 for $5000 with only 86K miles on it. Best value for money going. It's true tho that the build quality aint the best, but its a hoot to drive. For twice that you can get the 05-06 with the LS2 and 50 extra HP, but the LS1 is only a cam away from 400 for a lot less.
Thats a great price considering what ya get. Man the 04 GTO is still a beast IMO and 86k miles is still low, plenty of life left in her 🤙🏼
This guys underrated, great content
Dayne Martin cheers mate, kind words
Best Australian car ever my Dream car all the way from the VL VK VP VT VX VZ VE VF HOLDEN HSV ALL THE WAY FOR EVER 🇦🇺
James Te Huna
exactly how I feel mate. What a bloody shame they are gone. 🤙🏼🇦🇺
Vadim Dale To right mate it’s so un Australian to do what they did makes me want to cry and mad all at once’s
Very well done. You've got this aussies approval
bradly wright thanks Bradly, glad you enjoyed it mate 🤙🏼
Vadim, if you're looking for more power and torque then you already have, have a look at Walkinshaw the most powerful package they have for that car is the W557 package 557 kilowatts or just over 700 odd HP and 950Nm, jump into your TH-cam search and type W557 Walkinshaw and see what you think
bradly wright holy crap 950nm 🧐, that’s unreal mate. I love the work Walkinshaw does. Cheers 🍻
No worries mate I'm keen to buy me a VF R8 wagon with the 6 speed 6.2ltr LSA and take it to Walkinshaw and have the W557 package fitted 💪😎
bradly wright mate I would love a wagon over here. Several of my mates back in Aus have them and send me pics all the time, not fair. Brad, that would be an epic wagon of you did it, I’m sure there couldn’t be too many of them floating around back home with that set up. Keep me posted
You are %100 right about bang for your buck,I bought a second hand 2012 Ve Ssv series 2 for $20,000!
Thats a bloody good price
Love the V8 supercar series. Wish we had the ford falcon in USA
Harry Dalton yeh it’s a great series Harry, don’t know how it will look in 2019 with all the new car specs. Should be interesting. 🤙🏼
Wish we still had it in Australia too :(
The V8 boss motor is a boat anchor but the Barra 6 turbo is awe inspiring. Holden for sound but Barra turbo for speed.
This man has a real heart. R.I.P Holden, I still can't get over it 😪
Thanks mate 🤙🏼🇦🇺
Best looking holden commodore/ss I’ve seen
Many thanks
GEEZ, what a car! Love your channel Sir.
Good on ya Matt, thanks for always leaving kind words.
A ted bullpit reference throwing in was a nice touch. 👍

and don't forget....."money on the frig, wog"....funny shit
Bottville baaahaaaaa that’s great mate
Bloody gold mate
How good is this?!? That is one of the sexiest cars I've ever seen.
Hey bro love this car and love what you've done to it and this is actually the exact model my dad is looking at buying next and only just told me about two days ago I live in New Zealand and it's pridy much the same here if your into your high powered V8s then your either a Holden or Ford man and my dad's a Holden man has been his whole life he currently has a 2008 Holden R8 Maloo.
Da iLLiST I love the Maloo’s,
They are bloody beautiful. Mate keep me posted on what he goes with, can’t go wrong with these in my opinion.

RangerMCB its one of the greatest sounds I know
HELL YES
Travis Bagent you need one of these in your life mate 😉
Totally agree with you on the marketing. I did not even know about the Pontiac G8 until 2011. So I bought 1. Otherwise I would not even know about the SS. Every one I have asked about the SS had no Idea what it was. To little to late. Great looking car you have there.
Thanks mate, yeh just a shame how she was taken out the back and shot by GM.
1:03 It took me a minute to work out, guessing it is 400 lbf⋅ft rather than Nm of torque
Yes you are correct, I always seem to revert to NMT for some reason. 👍🏼
Yeah i find i trip up when i talk about lb ft too. Aussie pride made me want to say "Hang on it more than that" then i realised what happened ;-)
Danny Hickling, yeh I’m bloody useless with all the technical talk, I just like to drive em. I actually explain some of the errors in Part 2 if you haven’t watched it yet. All my Aussie mates gave me a good old serve 🤣🤣🤣🤙🏼🇦🇺
OK cool, this was a cool video, strong Aussie theme ;-), I will subscribe and watch it later on
Danny Hickling good on ya Danny. Cheers mate 🤙🏼
That thumbnail shot is freaking gorgeous. I have to keep coming back to take a gander...
Everyone in Australia calls a commodore bogan. But how can you? It’s an absolute masterpiece
I couldn’t imagine driving a left hand drive commy 🤨 bloody mint though mate 👌
Andrew Selmon thanks Andrew. I prefer right hand drive but a lefty ain’t all that bad. I just like changing gears with my left, it’s easier from 1st to 2nd gear when flogging her at take off.
Yes I’d imagine it would be different trying to shift all that power with the opposite hand, would take some practice that’s for shore.

Well done mate , perfect car , perfect representation of the aussie wit and humour , grat job .
Shaun Keogh thanks mate, I appreciate that. 👍🏻
Absolutely mate
Similar power to mine. (LSA, 2.5 pulley, Torque Converter, Headers, X-Pipe, E85 on 12lbs) These are amazing machines that will simply embarrass most cars on the road. Great review, sir.
Dman 96
ya dam right, bloody great cars for the price. How are you finding the E85 mate? I heard good and bad about it. Would like to get a straight up opinion from someone who runs it. 🤙🏼
@@vadimdale22 It's great. I only run E85. On a blown LS3 you'll see gains of 80-90 whp. You definitely feel it. Burns faster than gas but not bad if you're easy on it. I put 2 oz of Lucas Ethanol fuel treatment in every tank for protection of fuel components. Oh, and it burns cooler than gas, and cleaner as well.
Dman 96 mate that sounds very tempting. I have been contemplating it for a year or so now. I’ve never given a crap about gas mileage, with a blown engine it’s a waist of time even looking at the gas needle 😉
VE series 1 HSV is still the most visually appealing one for me...

yeh I do love the VE platform also, just preferred the new front end on the VF HSV. Either way, both bloody great cars. 🇦🇺🤙🏼
I like vf interior and there aggressive front end and they’re perfomsnce

At least you got a proper Australian one. The VB-VZ were basically bastardized Australian made Opels in some form. At least these were 100% Australian designed, not off an Opel platform.
Don Coleman that’s right, wouldn’t buy one if it wasn’t an Aussie thoroughbred!!!
