In reality, you will run into some location specific situations. Stick with it, you'll get there. If you get in over your head, please call Whirlpool corp for help. One suggestion: on the units with 3 or more insulation sheets on the back of the kick panel... put a sheet of paper on the floor under the water valve so that it can be pulled out after the kick plate is on. I've seen that insulation push on the brass adapter hard enough to cause a seep where no leaks were before installing the kick plate. A dry piece of paper 10 minutes later doesn't guarantee no leaks, but it is one more safety check. Also, there is a special room in purgatory for the person who decided on that design of electrical box.
The people or person's involved in the design of this electrical box should have to write an apology to everyone then fired. I've installed a lot of electrical boxes in dishwashers and this was the first time I had to read a worthless instruction book then watch a video on a stupid design. Everyone else's take the removal of a single screw then remove the cover but not these morons. You have to take the box of the mounting just to open it, wire it and remount it and then flip the machine.
Excellent very Clear, and helpful. Thank you! I have a question, Shouldn't the appliance have a manufacturing name on it.? What is the best way to verify it? Last question, do you offer support on outdoor Decks reconstruction!
Find you very much for this video I bought a used dishwasher and the electric Box was dangling I could not figure out where to put it now I have a clue thank you very much
Whirlpool should be ashamed of the directions provided. I had to buy a metallic strain relief online because they don't include it. Home Depot and Lowe's didn't carry them. Cost me almost $20 with shipping. Turns out, I didn't need it because I was using the plug that came with the dishwasher. You only need the strain relief if you are using the wire that comes directly out of the wall from the previous dishwasher. If there's an outlet there, there's no need for a strain relief. Kind of an important detail, Whirlpool! Also, the height adjustment settings were WAY OFF!
I just installed one of these and the top mounted controls are supposed to be hidden when the door is closed. If you open the door while it's running it just stops until you press the start button and close it again.
Neither the existing power or water lines are that long. There is NO SPACE to fit your HAND! Don't hey me started on tools. How about showing an actual home installation not someone attaching things nowhere near an actual cabinet!
This video saved me from hiring someone to install a dishwasher and was simple enough to watch while going through each step. Amazing!!
Exactly what I needed! I couldn't remember how to reattach the electrical junction box. This video showed it and many more steps. Great video!
A solid video for installing a Whirlpool Diswasher. Straight and to the point.
Thank You! Saved me $79.00.
Thank you for this video. It was perfect in helping me install my dishwasher. Precise step-by-step guidance!

The controls are on the top and with this installation the user would not be able to operate this dishwasher.

This was what we ran into. In the operating instructions it says to firmly close the door, make sure it is latched and then push the buttons
My whirlpool Dishwasher detergent/Tablet box didn't open automatically during cleaning untensil. What happened? How it can be solved?

Useless. Completely useless. Almost as bad as the included manual. I would comment on the information provided, if there was any.
