- The Stay at Home Choir and VOCES8 present the digital premiere of Dougie MacLean's iconic ballad 'Caledonia', in a sumptuous arrangement by the group's own Blake Morgan.
The project ran for four weeks in the Autumn of 2020 and involved more than 4300 singers from across the world in online masterclasses, rehearsals and social events led by VOCES8, and Stay At Home Choir directors Jamie Wright and Tori Longdon.

Absolutely Delightful. As a Scot lost in California, this music is life for me.
I've known and sung along to this song for years, in a folk style. In 2019 i had my first and only choral experience performing "Candide" highlights with my father Ken (1938-2019, lifelong choral singer, my his memory be a blessing). This is an arrangement i wish i could've shared with him. Like the original, it brings me to tears, but the harmonies in this arrangement take me to new places, and make memories of home sweeter for the newfound distance and spaces between (which meaning of the song becomes all the clearer with life). Thanks to Dougie, Blake, and everyone who made this recording.

When you're overseas and haven't been able to travel back to Scotland for a year due to Covid and you find this.....got me right in the feels.

Really loved taking part. Thank you all at SAHC and the brilliant Voces8 for working with us. I managed to find my name & thumbnail too. A real positive from a strange upsetting time. I think we all found our own 'Caledonia'. I am sure Dougie will like it!
He gave it a pretty positive "shout out" during his 72nd "wee concert" online tonight before performing Caledonia in response to requests in view of the Scottish win over England at Rugby earlier in the day :-)

It has been a privilege to sing with the Stay at Home Choir and Voces8 in Caledonia. I look forward to the day when travel restrictions are lifted, and we can visit Caledonia again.

As a (strictly amateur) chorister, can't imagine anything more wonderful than singing backup for Voces8. Congratulations, Mr. Morgan, on your exquisite arrangement, beautifully performed.
Hard to watch this without getting emotional... such an exquisite arrangement of Blake's and so deeply fulfilling to sing - and then to watch the magic unfold through the power of all voices together.... thank you Tori, Jamie and Voces8 for the chance to create this beautiful music!

Oh my WORD!! This is stunning and breathtakingly beautiful. I am so proud and overjoyed to have participated in this project with all in this brilliant community, not least of which, the first SAHC project with my dear husband and teenage daughter. She is utterly SOLD on Caledonia and, as a violinist too, was so inspired that she is in the midst of transcribing Caledonia for violin with all 16 vocal lines! She will record each part and put it together when finished. This is what incredible music and this community does....it is a glorious, healing balm and inspires passionate creativity. Deepest gratitude to the blessed @Stay at Home Choir team and @Voces8!! You are AMAZING one and all!!❤️❤️❤️
