When he started singing, he pointed to the sound group that his ear monitors didn’t work. I guess they didn’t fix it or didn’t see it, so he took them out and sang the whole song without them. It’s not an easy song to do that!

And many others: 3 types of U, back tongue N, like in English -ing ending, sharp K like in Qairan elim (also in Qudaibergen, Qazaqstan) etc etc. The language itself is not so difficult like Russian, Chinese or Arabic. Structure is the same like Turkish, cause it is from the big Turkic language family. Turkish people accept Kazakh as an ancestor of their language. You should watch Marigolds from his Kiev oncert. No runs, no high notes, just a beautiful sensitive folk song about mothers planting marigolds. His own mother is in the audience and us in tears. The audience sing along too very melodically. It is so touching. Dimash doesn’t always needs tricks,

It was written by a Kazakh patriot who was imprisoned and lied to about his wife leaving him, which prompted this poem, which became a folk song. BTW...it was announced today that he's going to be featured on MTV in the US this Friday sometime between 5-8 EST - a first for a Kazakh artist. They're pretty excited about it over on Instagram.

The USA dears sang this song for his birthday this year. The dears all over the world sing this sing with him and the concert in N Y. He was so touched that they know the song. If you notice when he started singing he was tapping his right ear piece it didn’t work the whole time. And at the end when he sets up straight it looks like tears on the side of his face. Also, a great coincidence and pleasant surprise happened to me Dec 9, in New York, day before the concert. When I was about to enter the NY library I saw Dimash's parents who were also entering, Dimash's younger brother was our translator ... that was a nice meeting..I had some photos with them ....❤❤❤❤

You are the first reactor I've seen who actually noticed that Dimash doesn't just sing high notes.......but rather, that it's an outpouring of emotion by the time he hits those heights. He has said that you shouldn't sing high notes for the sake of doing it. Rather do it because of the emotion you're trying to convey. This performance brings me to tears. I don't understand the language to know it is so beautiful, and expressive of some sort of sadness. The instruments are foreign to me, but not the mournful nature of these stringed instruments. Good lord. This is such a gorgeous performance. I so want to understand the meaning --- but I don't really have to. He is just brilliant.
