    Sucks, i just got off the phone with a lifan rep at American lifan and according to him the tech's say the engine has to come out to do a valve adjustment. Its not the end of the world. Gives me excuse to change the chain and go over everything over the winter 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Is there a service/ repair manual available for the kp mini 150 ?? Where do you get the specs/ settings information from ?

      I know it’s a clone of a CB150 Honda motor does that help ?

    Hey, I believe I have an oil leak.. I have to replace oil every few hundred miles. Didn't you say you had this issue as well?

    • @SmallEngineVelocity
      @SmallEngineVelocity  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We are not the only ones. The shift sensor o-ring leaks- I had to replace it with a slightly thicker one

    What is the motor cloned after? Is it a GY6?

    • @kevinbeck9459
      @kevinbeck9459 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not a clone

    • @SmallEngineVelocity
      @SmallEngineVelocity  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wikipedia: The GY6 engine design is a four-stroke single-cylinder in a near horizontal orientation that is used on a number of small motorcycles or scooters made in Taiwan, China, and other southeast Asian countries. It is believed to have originally been a Honda design. At some stage Honda used Kymco, a Taiwanese company, as a factory for Honda bikes. It has since become a generic technology. Kymco went on to produce Honda clones such as the Pulsar (CB125), made to Honda standards, as part of their range.

    Please lower the music volume. Besides being somewhat annoying, It competes with your narration...

    I thought it was a pain doing a valve adjustment on my old 2018 taotao pony 50.

  • @josephnelson5006
    @josephnelson5006 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would just take the engine out at that point. Easier to work less cuss words

    I've heard good things about Life's. But, geez, you can't remove the valve cover without pulling the engine? No thanks.

    • @SmallEngineVelocity
      @SmallEngineVelocity  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I learned later you can drop the motor a little by removing the front lower motor mount bolts. Wish I kew that back then

    • @Woahbo

      I think it’s on the owners manual

    This should have been done at 1,000 km or 600 miles.. you probably want to add a note to watch the video you posted 2 months later where you were fishing out parts from what you did here.
