Mine has just over 36,000 miles on it. I was going to sell it but changed my mind. It still turns heads and drives like a dream. You should have no problem getting a buyer.
I own a 2005 Crossfire SRT6 convertible...same exact color as the one in this video. I'm really glad I stumbled on this series. I learned a lot about my car I didn't know before the videos (e.g. wiring, carpet, taking the consul apart). I really appreciate these videos. Thank you!
You have a great car there. My SRT6 doesn’t have that (very breakable) cup-holder but a hinged storage space there. Very underrated car but a ‘sleeper’ for sure. Hand-built AMG engine; overwhelmingly Merc components on a proven chassis. Put together by Karman. Timeless styling. Muscle-car looks. What not to like?
I watched all three episodes and you did a pretty good build. I bought mines for 8.4k and it came with 93k miles. Left signal lights were down, but everthing was good. The car came with after market black rims, but the car was oridinal color (blue). Overall, I think you are at a right price for 13k miles on there.
Love the car , I think you will make a profit on it no problem 😃👍…….. I got to say that I love the fact you even got your Mom to have fun on camera 🤣 ….. Keep up the good work guys , Love the channel 👍
To extract water from foam, wrap it with diapers (aka absorbing pads), then bag it. Using a shop vac, zip-tie seal the bag & suck the water out, compress the foam via massaging method or roller squeeze the foam towards the vac hose, nearly extracts all the water.
The diaper/bed pads contain an absorbing gel to help attract/extract excess water the doesn't get sucked outta the foam but the foam should rest in a dry environment for a day or so
Nice car, great project. Flood cars can be scary. A few years ago we bought an '06 Hummer H3 Adventure package flood car for my wife from a friend of the family. It was a Copart car that he drove for awhile. So far so good, only regular maintenance stuff and it's her daily. When I sold my '78 Trans Am I wanted to downsize to a ragtop 2 seater. I looked at Miatas, Crossfires and Solstice/Sky. Miatas are everywhere, the Mercedes aspect of the Crossfire scared me off so I bought an '08 Sky base 5-speed. Love that little car! So far I've only done oil changes and replaced a broken turn signal stalk. The factory stereo went out so that's next on my list. Gotta say the Sky dash is a lot harder to get inside of than the Pontiac. I'm a little jealous. I'm learning a ton from your channel as I'm more of a driver than a tech. I don't have the money, time or talent to take on projects like this but they sure are fun to watch and learn from. And I'd buy one of your rebuilds for sure!
I really enjoyed your videos on the crossfire. I have a 2004 base the problem I’m having is finding parts on the exterior do you think you can guide me.
I have a 2008 Limited.. I didnt notice if you got the Driver seat heater working (?) I didnt see or hear of any cleaning mud out of or investigation of inside the door panels, rocker panels, u joints, wheel bearings, wheel wells that could hold/trap mud and debris, un, brake assemblies, but with Salvage title and if it was throughly cleaned from trapped mud and debris..I think it would be worth 13k
HEY! I cleared my codes with that scanner. The scanner came with one free download and I picked Mercedes. It will read the Crossfire. It will clear codes for Crossfire.
I had a '05 Crossfire I bought in 2014 for $9000 with 10k miles. I drove it for 120k miles and sold for $3,500. I was scared of expensive maintenance, it ate tires (just easy highway miles but unidirectional so no rotation) and my back didn't like the seats. Loved the car though so maybe I'll buy another some day.
Hey, what brand and size are those wheels & tires?! NICE look….💎 Did you sell the car(I hate that the pandemic prices hurt ya on the purchase @ Copart)? If not how is it performing today?⚔️ Nice rebuild & great videos, I just finished all 3 videos including your headlight restoration video! I watched from 5:45AM till done😎
A quick look at Hemmings has two SRT6. Car 1. Vert, 62,077 kilometers (32,359 miles) $21,592. Car 2. 19,031 miles, $25,900. So even w/a salvage title I'd think you could get $15 plus. Video repair documentation also shows it was repaired right.
The way the used car prices are at the moment, (at least in my country), you could make 2-3k profit if not more it is a low mile car and in awesome condition
I just bought one last week and it’s very under powered. I don’t know what’s wrong with it can somebody lead me in the right direction? Great video btw!!!
You did a very nice job fixing the car and I don’t think you had too much money in it especially if you ignore your labor. I agree that 18-20K is a fair price for the car taking into consideration that low mileage Crossfires and Crossfire SRTs (as well as 1st generation MB SLK Kompressors) are significantly undervalued and represent an excellent buy compared with other choices in the price range. It’s too bad this car wasn’t kept in production and refined over time but it was too expensive to build and sell and it was never a moneymaker for Chrysler. After their ugly divorce, Chrysler could not be expected to sell a re-costumed Mercedes just as their former subsidiary, Sunbeam, couldn’t realistically sell the Tiger which was in some respects, a re-costumed Ford.
$that’s high for a flood car.. especially now that the pandemic prices are over.. dealers ruined the market and people are upside down $7-10k 😢 If it was a clean titled car it’ll be worth that but maybe it sold when the market was high
With the low miles, 330 hp and very good condition, $15-16K would be a good price. I have the convertible, manual shift Roadster not the SRT6 and I could get 9-10K for mine.
i am late to the party but i just bought a 2006 roadster with 27000 miles for i5000 dollars. according to my research i was right in the ballpark. its a shame they didnt put a 6 speed manual in these. i suppose it could have to do with missing a shift at quick rpms.that being said i would place value at 18 to 20 thousand. You did well considering you work for free?????
Thanks for watching! Yes, I never count my hours in the work, it’s usually too depressing. I sold the Crossfire to a friend, hopefully it does well and he stays a friend!
I think you will get your money back but the water damage salvage title will scare a lot of people. Not many people like the styling on that car to begin with. I think it’s good looking but I’m told by everyone I know that I’m wrong on that. I was in that caution as well but I didn’t want to go over $5800. Good luck, it’s a nice ride.

Hey Timothy! That’s awesome! So glad you enjoyed the videos and were able to learn something. Thanks for watching!
Well done! It's a keeper. 11.5 is high, but for a nice Crossfire, it's so worth it.
Such an incredible and original car. Great to see it being cared for.
Congratulations on the 1K subscribers!!!!! Keep up the good work and the videos rolling out.
Thanks for continuing to guest star!

Almost done..another great video, enjoyed it very much
I’m impressed that you always insure the job is done right 👍
Sweet ride ! Great rebuild, I would buy it !

Low mileage srt6 are getting rare, you should have no problem selling it. Awesome work.

What are you looking for?
@@rebuildit
I’m looking for chrome piece over the front window frame and rear view mirrors for both sides.

This is what I’m working with so far. I bought it from a retired person it only had 119,000 garage kept.
I have a 2008 Limited.. I didnt notice if you got the Driver seat heater working (?) I like the tires and rims
Had one for 2 years, regret selling. Only sold because wife lost job. Will get another someday. A classic...
They’re great cars!
are those stock seats? I have an 04 non srt and the seats are awful on long drives
Yes they’re stock SRT seats
So what was the final sale price?
We sold it to a friend for cheap, but they are probably worth 18-19 with a prior salvage title with this low of miles.
HEY! I cleared my codes with that scanner. The scanner came with one free download and I picked Mercedes. It will read the Crossfire. It will clear codes for Crossfire.

sold in 2019 btw, so pre-Covid pricing.

Not sure of the size (we sold the car) but the brand was STR RACING. str-racing.net
Thank you for the kind words! Glad you’re enjoying the videos!
@@rebuildit they appeared to be 19” in the front and 20” in the rear vs the oem smaller set up, but I wanted to be sure

Maybe we can ship it to you and let you sell it for us! Lol

Ah, might make it worth more
That’s a really good deal

✌
Hey Anthony! Unfortunately, this car is already sold. We appreciate your interest though. Thanks for watching!
Nice 👍
There was a guy selling a salvaged one by me with 76k miles roadster for 18k

I'd say 12k to 12.5
lol @ change head gaskets in her shop lol
Sorry but you’re likely to loose money on this project. If it had a clean title maybe $14k…salvage title maybe $9k.
Great deal! Sell it to me for 14,000

I don't think you would be able to get much more than $13,000. I have a crossfire love the car they just not worth a lot.
Sell it for 23.000
