Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for your support! More information on the GR1 can be found at www.cameralegend.com THANK YOU! 😎📷😘
Loved your images and comments about your Dad. I must have a rare gem in 2024. A GR1 with fully working LCD. Sold most of my film gear many years ago but in recent years started buying some of the nicer compact film cameras.
Thanks for your kind words about Dad, I'm sure he'd thank you too! Collecting the great film era compacts is a great pastime, could be expensive but satisfying if you take your time and find them when the deals come around. Thanks much for your comments!
Great video. Very informative. I like how considerate and humble you are! Thank you!
Thanks so much for checking out the video and your kind words, I appreciate it! 😎📸👍🏻
I'm lucky enough to have bought a mint gr1 with original box and manual for $5 at a garage sale! going to play around with it soon.
Incredible find congrats!!
Nice video. I like your presentation! Thanks!
Thank you for the kind words!
Beautiful
Keep going man. I like your work.
YOUSEF Thanks Brother I appreciate you! 😎🙏🏻👍🏻
I have an Olympus Af1 Infinity with the really sharp 35mm 2.8 lens.
£20. Excellent results. I like the fact that the flash comes on when it feels like it. Self timer is handy for selfies.
My friend has a Ricoh Gr1. Worth £350 now thanks to people raving about it. No offence.
Hi Neil that AF1 is a nice camera! I've seen results from a friend who has one. Great bargain. No offense about the Ricoh. Unlike other reviewers, I'm usually hesitant to review cameras I like, knowing that a positive review might spike prices as I collect them myself and I also want to keep the prices low for everyone.
A good example is my "5 Reasons Not To Get A Contax T2." No one knew it at the time, and some hated me for it, but I honestly saw the prices stabilize after we put out that video. It kept the prices from going to the $2000 range and I know I can't take all the credit for it but all I can say was mine was the first video on TH-cam that ever said anything remotely "negative" about the T2. We'll try to keep the hidden gems like the AF1 to ourselves! Cheers :-)
Ooo the gr1 looks like a great point and shoot. If your lcd isn’t working, how would you know when you’re done with your roll?
Hi there and good point! You can either write it down or keep a mental count, none of which works for me because I don't want to be bogged down like that. But since, I always carry a second camera (not a second GR1) it's not a big deal for me if I run out of film because I know I always have a different camera for backup. But for anyone just carrying the GR1 with this issue, you raise a good point because it could be a problem. Thanks for your input!
@@cameralegend1033 Is it clear when the camera shoots its last exposure? I imagine if you lose count it can become a problem unless there's some sort of sound. I just wanna make sure if I choose this camera it won't be a waste in the long term hahaha.
Jessie Effendi It doesn’t make any indicative sound when it’s near the end of the roll, it just loudly rewinds! To be fair, no camera I know has a sound indicator before the roll ends. Your best bet is to seek out one that still works. Might have to pay more for it but at least you’ll have peace of mind. Cheers! 😎📸👍🏻
@@JessieEffendi from what I read, they can break
I’d get one if the second hand market didn’t make the prices so high. Love my griii . I love film and always hang out in my dark room.
Hi Nicholas, yeah the market for these cameras as well as other high end point and shoots have gotten out of hand. If I were looking to buy today, I'd probably skip these but fortunately I got it a long time ago. But there are still many great cameras under the radar if you look around. Nice to read your comments, thanks!
excellent review.
Appreciate your comments thanks!
Great video , Thanks
Thanks Rick, I appreciate your kind words!
No offence, the content is good but the sound and the set needs some work, thanks anyway for sharing your experience and thoughts
Thanks for your feedback! Ha yes I know there's a lot more to do on the production side, I've been doing it low budget but I really should ramp it up. Appreciate your comments, thanks!
I like it man, it's like a hostage video. Also good content!
R K Thanks and lol I can see that! Right before the beheading haha 😎👍🏻
Nothing wrong with the sound as far as I am concerned…..
.... and a guy named Kai lololol
Paul Bu Haha hey you gotta admit it looks like him! 😀👍🏻
