THAT PAUL MCCARTNEY TAUGHT THE BAND TO PLAY, THEY HAVE NEVER GONE OUT OF STYLE, AND THEY'VE SEEMED TO ALWAYS MAKE US SMILE, DO I EVEN NEED TO INTRODUCE? THE BAND YOU'VE LOVED FOR 50 YEARS? THE BEATLES REMEMBERIN' THEIR 50 EPIC YEARS! (sorry this ain't so good lol)
Watching clips of the Beatles makes me realize again how cool they were, in their own casual, unpretentious way, and, I have to say, Ringo may have genuinely been the coolest and most unpretentious of the bunch.
Thank you! As I start learning more about editing and stuff these videos are getting way more complicated for me but somehow its still one of the most fun things I've ever had the opportunity to do. That's what I'm thinking about when I say thanks for watching. It's just so cool to share this with you all and your feedback has been overwhelming. So thank you :)

The HollyHobs It's the least I can do. Thank you for doing this videos :)
@HollyHobs, I'm a huge Beatles fan. When I was in college for my speech class; all my speeches were on The Beatles. Their, movies, music, impact on society, Paul is dead hoax etc. Glad to say I aced my class & the professor were always blown away by my research. Still, you keep showing me new things about the Beatles. Some things I'm like, oh yeah I remember that but A LOT of things I'm like, DAMN! I DIDN'T KNOW THAT. I absolutely love your channel & always look forward to the notifications for your new videos. Keep up the amazing job. Btw, I like your original music. It's really good.
i think this was one of the last song that they both sat down and wrote together.a bloke writing the beatles story at the time said he walked in and saw them both sat at a piano composing it together.id never need my eyes again if id witnessed that
Thank you man! I have at this point like 15 beatles books as reference and the internet has some really cool stuff but you have to be careful. Theres a ton of "hear say" about some things we don't know are true. Usually the best bet is to find interviews of them that back up the fact (which is really difficult). The Beatles Bible is a great place to start but I would definitely suggest video and audio interviews as they are harder to misinterpret.
Yeah, I would also recommend getting the full Beatles Anthology on DVD, in that 10 hour collection of the Beatles history from the day each Beatle was born right up to 1996, with the newer version of the 3 boxsets having updates in them. Also Beatle Books, have become a industry all of it's own, so you need to have rough idea of which ones to buy. For the music, ie; every song they ever wrote when it was recorded and the story behind it, I would recommend, " Revolution in the Head" by Ian McDonald. In the highly regarded British newspaper, The Guardian, the critic writes this little comment. " Beatle books are a Industry, this product pretty much closes down the Factory." Thankyou for giving us this great channel, Hob's...
I honestly wish I could get them out even faster but this one almost didn't even make it for today. I was so stressed lol. Thank you for saying that btw.
ho!y crap! I didn't think you would do this song, I love that you did it. also, I love the intro so much! I guess in the eyes of a Beatles fan you can say, "we've got everything you need, satisfaction guarantee!" if you know what Beatles song/album reference Im talking about reply to this comment. thanks for the vid!
Dude, my computer crashed like 4 times rendering that damn intro lol I was on vacation trying to keep it cool and not just chuck it out a window. Looks like The HollyHobs has to upgrade!
I always had a theory about this song. I thought it was inspired by the socratic dialogues. Socrate used to use a dialogue technique where he asked short answers about philosophy to people making them interested in searching for the truth. Maybe a i red in to it a little too much. The line that made me think about it is "would you belive in a love at first sight" because it's a big question really but simplified in a short effective way...
Thank you for the constant encouragement, I mean it. You and a few others always take the time to say something and it's honestly one of my favorite things about doing this.
I think a lot of Beatles' songs had deeper meanings that they wouldn't necessarily reveal to reporters. "What do you see when you when you turn out the lights ?" could easily be about - Does consciousness survive the dying process ? How much of the ego ("mine") survives. Sort of like the Zen question "Show me your face before your mother was born", or what is your true essence.
Thank you! If I fell is one of my personal top favorites. I have a few in the works for the upcoming weeks but I sure will do that one soon. Thanks for the request!
Maria Ramirez Because tomatoes have been around for millennia. An ornamental plant from the Americas, it was considered toxic. As a matter of fact, everyone who ate tomatoes before 1850 died. All true!
The HollyHobs: From "A Hard Day's Write," (pages 192-193): "This was then followed by 'are you afraid when you turn out the light?' but rephrased to 'What do you see when...'. Cynthia Lennon then came in and suggested 'I'm just fine,' as an answer, but John dismissed it saying that 'just' was either a filler or a meaningless word. Instead, he tried 'I know it's mine', eventually coming up with the more substantial 'I can't tell you, but I know it's mine.'" I guess both how you say Paul described it AND this can be true at the same time, but it seems a little contradictory. Not totally, just a little bit. What do you (or anyone) think of this, and of the book "A Hard Day's Write," in general? Keep up the great work! I love your videos and can totally appreciate all the work you've put into them! Well done! -Dan
I love how Ringo is the oldest yet seems like that weird younger nobody wants around too much but love enough to keep around.
It was 50 years ago today...thank you very much for this homage to this wonderful song in one of the best albums ever, if not the best
Thank you! Have you listened to the Remastered yet? That thing is crazy awesome.
The HollyHobs not yet...but I'm dying to

Its funny what could pass the censors, while they banned A day in the life because "it might have something to do with drugs" smh
Right?! I feel like some people just want to rain on everyone's good time.
Come Together was banned because the song mentioned Coca-Cola
what do you see when you turn off the lights, and open the fridge?
kaptengranat ngl, the chaos instrumental was something to br terrified about.
@@commentfreely5443 Expired milk.
I love the clips you found of Ringo at the beginning! And I love the more comedic tone of this video, this song really deserves it :)
Thanks Greif! That little "fake interview" is one of my favorite clips ever.
'what would you do if i'm singing a song' - julian lennon on anthology
The intro is adorable I'm melting
When I heard the part with "I can't tell you, but I know it's mine," I was extremely mortified. I wasn't 100% what he meant but I had a suspicion.
what do you think? hmm?
Watching clips of the Beatles makes me realize again how cool they were, in their own casual, unpretentious way, and, I have to say, Ringo may have genuinely been the coolest and most unpretentious of the bunch.
should do Octopus Garden
Trying to see if the local aquarium will let me get some footage. Hopefully we can get some crazy shots!
The HollyHobs Nice One, Good luck
I attempted to sing that last high note and lemme just tell you... props to Ringo for actually being able to do it with such a low voice!! Like damn!
I love all your videos! My favourite Beatles channel ❤

My favorite song by the one and only Billy Shears!
I'd like to hear you do a complete cover of this song
You really need more subscribers ❤
actually a very good voice indeed.
Great video! Yours and Galeazzo's are definitely the best Beatles channels on TH-cam! (by the way, do you know him? A collab would be awesome).
Thank you and I love Galeazzo! He does fantastic work. I wouldn't even know how to approach a collaboration without sounding lame lol
The HollyHobs Well, your channel you grow even more and maybe he will be the one approaching you! :)
hey man, great video!
You nailed that high note 👍

Emo Peter Parker: *WRITE THAT DOWN! WRITE THAT DOWN!*
We knew what the lights out you know it’s mine line was about... When we were 13 it was obvious it was about spankin’ it, choking the chicken, etc...
thanks :)
You're very welcome!
Love your expressions brother.
You're a legend.
Great video! Dude can i please have a link to the intro song?! Its awesome
th-cam.com/video/W1ZHLcBYS3o/w-d-xo.html
Good effort singing at the end!
I like all your videos. Seeing people make suggestions, I thought... how about, 'You know my Name'? Was that a Beatles' fan club only song??
You have a really nice singing voice
Nice voice.
00:08 Paul shows off his badfinger boogie.
You sing really good
The cover was really good
Cool
But they had stopped performing live in 1966, so how was he afraid of the tomato throwers?
Maria Ramirez Because tomatoes have been around for millennia. An ornamental plant from the Americas, it was considered toxic. As a matter of fact, everyone who ate tomatoes before 1850 died. All true!
Kathleen Pang ?
i really didnt want to know about THAT line😂
that was preety good
I get pelted with jelly babies and tomatoes with a little help from my friends.
If Ringo is off key, then I cant imagine what I am when I sing

_looks up at lotion bottle_ *oh* *yeah*
we need to redo the jelly bean toss um i mean pelt lol(us version) more beans!!!
Which one is it? What would you do or what would you think? Correct answer: what would you think. Look up the song he says it
That into music sounds a bit like Blondie's "The Tide is High" :)
Interestingly, that’s a cover of another song from ‘67, originally by The Paragons: th-cam.com/video/SQXqkiKXiHc/w-d-xo.html
He kinda sounds like Sean Lennon when singing
its a shame sean lennon is a bit of a douche hahah
💝Your pfp!!😂
Please do dont let me down
0:34 So that’s where Emo Peter Parker got it from!
Oh! LOVE your VOICE! ❤👌😚
Octopus’s Garden next.
Okay but be more modest. The Beatles were among their hundreds of qualities... modest. Love you.
i suggest eight days a week
Love that song!
are you planning to do all songs?
The Real question is how high does he get from that help i need to know
How the hell is Ringo in the HOF as a solo artist?
Ringo is in the HOF as a solo artist by being arguably the most influential rock 'n' roll drummer of his time.
I'm a huge Beatle Fan, but the Joe Cocker version at Woodstock is far superior. One of the few Beatle covers better than the original version.
2:15 so what i remember the story as, is they liked jelly babies from britan, because they were soft. Yet in america they are hard and painful
The first asmr but beatle style
It's "what would you think", not "what would you do"
no its not lol
(edit: i was wrong, it is what would you think
0:13 ASMR
I thought Paul was the main composer .. but John was the main..
The song changed th-cam.com/video/h-CDQyMnnaw/w-d-xo.html
Bro is the oldest and youngest
Joe Cocker did a nice version of this; though, not as loveable as Ringo's.
No, Paul wrote most the song and played the piano
do for no one
0:09 paul is flipping us off
Nice voice.
