How about doing one where you use makeup colors like eyeshadow, blush, lips, techniques etc that you don’t like or don’t find appealing to you, to see if you could pull a look together you might actually like?
These vids make me feel at home . May I make a request? I’d love to see more tutorials using your Wants pallet. Maybe some summer looks. Day to Night kinda deal. I work in healthcare and would love a beautiful but simple everyday looks, combo suggestions, etc. then maybe something I could add to amp it up after work to maybe go meet husband for dinner. Oh and through college... tbh even through most of my 20’s into early 30’s. I’m 46 now and I haven’t used it since then but curious is it as awesome as it was. Decluttered the tarte Amazonian Clay foundation about two years ago. It was very expired but was barely used. Never looked great on me.

I agree with David!! I absolutely think they changed Lash blast. I used to love that mascara, was my most repurchased back in the day. Probably bought it like 20+times and then all of a sudden it felt like it wasn’t the same. I bought one a couple weeks ago just to see if maybe I was crazy before, but now I’m even more convinced they changed the formula because it was awful. On a positive note, I love these kinds of videos Em! Please keep them up. It makes me want to dig in my stash and pull out what I already own instead of breaking the bank and hitting Sephora up for new products that are just new.
I love shop my stash videos. Most of us “normal” people 😉 only have 2-3 Foundations, palettes etc, so we actually wait until we finish a product before buying a new one.

I love how Lauren Mae dupes out eye palettes with her single shadows. It’s so creative and really makes me think well I do have a similar shadow in X pallet. Super helpful.
My theory is that influencers get so much new products in PR that they feel they have to use them for viewers and also may get money for promoting
I agree wholeheartedly! Influencers say they don’t want to use limited edition because we can’t get it, but if they only use products 2-3x it’s kind of limited edition anyhow 😂 I LOVE revisiting old fav videos.

The sheer disbelief on your face when you said "...I wore this..." after putting on the lipstick had me rolling haha. I remember Pixiwoo being the first channel I watched and because they were trained makeup artists who had worked at MAC, they used MAC all the time. Remember when MAC was *the* reference point for foundation shades?
Really wish you'd do an "eye remember" meets "singles cruise bingo." Where you randomly draw 5 past videos (From your first ever through your most recent) and use the same products you used in that video or whatever products are similar. Recreating past looks right down to similar outfits & hairstyles.

There's definitely a need for it. I LOVE Bailey Sarian's "Murder, Mystery, and Makeup Monday" series....but it would be wonderful to have someone do it who isn't as flashy with their makeup as Bailey is.

I’m really meh on Bobbi Brown, a lot of it seems really dated (especially when they don’t have any mattes in their eyeshadow palettes). They’re not cruelty free anyway so I can’t use them, but there are really only a few products I feel like I’m missing out on
I think it feels grown up because she was in ALL the mags in the 90’s & 00’s giving us makeup tips. It was as if she was the ONLY MUA we had then. I remember having her book and it being about natural looks.
@@janinebean4276 BB makeup does nothing for me (although I'd like to try one of their foundations I guess), but they have few nice skin products. But they're expensive, and I'm not rich, so I usually don't repurchase after getting something as a gift ;)

I still love Tarte mascaras! They work great for me. Especially the Man-eater is one of the best mascaras I ever used. It never clumps my lashes together and coats every lash. Always looks beautiful

It's the same feeling as when you apply makeup in a dimly lit room in a rush to go somewhere and then 3 hours later you actually look at yourself in the bathroom mirror. That mini heart attack you get 😂
I remember looking for the near dupe of the turkish delight in store and deciding not to get it! I think it was a revlon lipgloss. At that point I realized that nude lip roducts were hard for me to find that worked for my skin tone. Many are not universal at all!

I'd still love to see you revisit some of your old makeup tutorials and give them an update, all the while discussing how your techniques have changed (and perhaps why) and how trends have changed over the years. I, personally, find it interesting to hear about why techniques have changed, especially from someone with as much experience with makeup as you.

You know what videos I absolutely LOVE? The ones where you use the drugstore products that you tubers don't talk about....like the CG Smoothers concealer in the lipstick tube, and the Loreal visible Lift foundation. I have found some true ride or die products from those videos, products that don't break my bank and ones that just WORK no matter what your skin is doing that day. AND I find it more appealing to see products talked about that aren't "popular"....meaning it feels like you really have to put your time into those particular videos since they aren't about products every single youtuber is talking about. Those are the kind of videos I click on amazingly fast!
You know, it could be really interesting if instead of asking people in your life their top must haves, you could maybe make a series where you ask us ours, and see what everyone who watches you has loved and have been using! ❤️

I think it would be Really fun to see you do some super glam, out of your wheelhouse makeup you usually do. Like cut creases, carved out eyebrows, overlining lips. Just for fun. You have such amazing makeup skills, For fun I would like to see a video with some of the more extreme makeup techniques.

Don't forget all the contour on nose, lips, chin, chaw, cheeks,..
One of the biggest “why haven’t I always done this” changes I discovered was only applying blush higher just to the upper outer parts of cheek. Not letting it go too front and center and NEVER extending lower than the nose! This application gives a very youthful result.

It's the only way I can apply blush and not look clownish. Rosacea lends its own blush shade on my lower cheeks, and I have jowls from the corners of my smile. Keep the blush light, bright and high!
I love a milky pink lipstick as those colors suit my skin tone, but since it's summer, I am wearing more corals.
Im assuming you're super pale white, like me, where wearing those light milky pink lipsticks is actually flattering and doll like with the skin tone. Finding a bronzer that doesn't look like red clay on this super white skin, isn't fun though, lol.
I remember checking the makeup blogs every day (nouveau cheap, musings of a muse, jen Phelps' blog beauddiction/the budget beauty blog) for wet n wild limited edition sightings in the drugstores! And the contour duo, it looks like you have the older, cooler tone version under their "color icon" line, and now the tones are warmer now that they're called "mega glo" contour duos.

I remember back in 2015 Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks were all the rave. They had so many lines and so many colors and the formula was spot on. I purchased a tube of "Touch of Spice" due to Kathleen LIghts recommendation but that color looked so bad on me though.
Touch of Spice looks purple/grey on me! 😒 I was so confused.
And it smelled like play dough!

Oh my goodness! Em, these oldies but goodies are bringing back so many memories! Most of them I associate with you. I'm pretty sure I've been here over a decade. Remember how obsessed everyone was with NYX butter glosses? UD Naked was so iconic, it's sad that it's gone.
Recently, I tried an eyeshadow I used to love back in the day. I put it on my eyelid and was like….oh no, too dark! It was a midtone shimmery purple shade. What was I thinking? 😂 Now, I like light colors on me. Crazy how your makeup looks can change.
I will always love my tarte Amazonian clay blushes! One of my faves is paaarty. Looks so boring in the pan, but it's so pretty on the cheeks!
And yes. They totally changed lash blast. My suspicion is that they changed the stopper. It doesn't remove as much product From the wand as it used to. Made me so sad to realize because that was my holy grail mascara for YEARS.

Yes, Walgreens sold Jordana. I still have some Jordana eyeliner pencils and lipglosses. Milani supposedly owned Jordana.

Emily, I always wish someone would do videos about makeup after having a sudden change in hair color! I have had dark, almost black hair my entire life and cut it off to go silver, all of the sudden all of the tones i used seemed to look weird with my hair. Not much out there on this?

Mary Louminizer was the first highlighter I ever used. I got a teeny tiny sample size from a Birchbox. I savored that little sample because I could afford “high end” makeup at the time.
I still use it in my daily makeup routine! Other highlighters, even the popular Becca one, are completely inferior in comparison.
I remember having my makeup done at the Lorac counter and thinking I was the most glamorous girl on earth. 🤣🤣 I remember Maybelline Great Lash the most. Loved this look, especially the lip, even though you were clearly horrified by it. 😨😨

I just pulled out my The Balm Mary-Loumanizer last week and thought, why did we stop using this it's great!

I had that Tarte foundation and brush set! I didn't care for the foundation - the shade I got was too light- but I loved the brush and used it for bronzer for, gosh, had to be ten years before the glue gave out and the bristles fell out. I was so sad! Edited to add: Last week, I pulled out Milani Luminoso from my stash and started using it again and wonder (again) why I ever stopped using it - love it so much.

The Wet n Wild Contour Palette is THE BEST. Anyone notice that they stopped making it in the cooler shade though? Now THAT was a truly believable contour shade & brightening setting powder 🙌🏻
So many of the bronzers now used as contour just don't seem like good contouring shades to me, too orange or warm. But seems like everyone does it this way nowdays.

I recently rediscovered my absolute love for the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation and that brush. I kept getting tempted to buy new stuff and wasn't finding anything that I was obsessed with. I went back to this and it was everything that I was looking for - and I already had it :)

I legit LOVE Wet n Wild, especially their pan highlighters and their setting powder; that contour duo too. Between WnW, ELF, Milani, Phycisians Formula, and NYX, I basically have my whole face taken care of. The only thing I really need-need high end is lipstick
The lip isn't bad, its just not what we are used to anymore, but I remember using that combo!!!!!🤣

I have been with you since your very first youtube upload before anyone knew about anything to do with glam. Like 07,08 Back when I was just entering highschool and I was legit famous at my school for doing my makeup and eyebrows so well. People were mind blown at my skills. And now EVERYONE KNOWS our beauty secrets 😫 you also have always held a special place in my heart because you look just like my moms bestfriend growing up! I remember finding out when you were a newscaster and I was like "omg she is such a news caster" I know you don't care about subscribers but idc it still pisses me off when I see "OG makeup MAMA BEAR GURU'S" not get the recognition they deserve for being the pioneers in this industry!😤🗣📣
Loved this video! I didn't start watching YT until after the OG era so I loved seeing these products used and explained. I have that Tarte foundation and have never liked how it looked on my skin but maybe it's becuz I'm too dry (and mature). I do, however, own and love their Exposed blush.

Some time ago Bub has done her makeup. It was hilarious!!! It’s awhile back now. I would love to see her mom for sure!!! Her mom is just so lovely and I would love to see her in videos from time to time. Maybe Em can do a spin off and have another channel w her mom and do some cooking and nature things.

I think you look so so beautiful Emily!! Totally getting a 70’s vibe here. And I was a Mac girl through and through. I also used the Great Lash in the pink and green tube for YEARS! I’m in my 50’s so makeup was limited growing up. Maybelline was always a favorite. Then Bare Minerals hit Ulta and that became my love. Still is to this day. Swirl, Tap...Buff. 😂❤️😘🥰
I still have and love Milani Luminoso! I would say MAC's Glow Play blush in So Natural is the closest thing I've found to a cream version of it
Love the Tarte Jumbo Foundation brush for lightly applying my l'oreal true match powder.

Dipbrow you have to wipe off your angled brush until there’s almost nothing on it, it can be really finicky
honestly Emily I feel like if you ever get bored of youtube I could totally see you thriving on QVC!! You seem well versed in it and that mixed with your news anchor background and your many years here would be such a cool job for you :)

Hey Emily! I love your content and that you use older products as well as new releases :). If you ever need an idea for a video, a rundown of your favorite blushes and a blush-centric look would be amazing. Maybe even a full face using only blushes??
I still have several of these items in my collection. Scott Reisch with Crime Talk (another one of my favorite TH-camrs) has been at that legal conference in Houston this week too. He said it has been great. I so appreciate that for the most part you have a standard go-to eyelook that you do. Sure, it's nice to do something out-of-the-box every now and then, but I find value in seeing looks I can use day-to-day. And while the light pink look isn't my favorite, I don't think it looked bad.
That tarte foundation is so gorgeous! Especially applied with a sponge. It is my go to for high coverage.

The Tarte Amazonian clay foundation is my favorite. I use it with a hydrating primer underneath and it’s perfect. The Tarte blush in the shade paaarty is my go to.
I’ve been loving Tarte and Too Faced lately. But drugstore and affordable makeup is always near and dear to my heart. I never get tired of drugstore makeup videos. And speaking of David, I really enjoy his Instagram, but his pictures of flowers are my favorite. I was so surprised to find out he’s originally from Decatur, IL! I lived there until my boys were born.
