For all the difficult pronunciations, they provided a guide in the back of the play book. It's mostly Latin with a bit of Gaelic, Old English, and Welsh to really mess with us.
Thanks for the video, really looking forward to the rest of the series! 2 small things though: During the storm step, the rulebook says: "All surviving Units on both sides Strike (including the Stronghold Garrison). Each inflicts 1 loss (no halving or Defense Factor)." So your raiders would have inflicted 6 losses instead of 3, although it didn't really matter in this case. Also, since you stormed a hillfort and not a town, there is only an intrinsic garrison of 1 (not 2), resulting in 2 losses (although I'm not sure if that would eliminate 2 or 4 raiders). Very brave to tackle it solo, I'm gonna make my share of mistakes as well when I get my copy :p
+Sebastiaan De Schagt when I was accounting for losses I did it at a 1 garrison factor for the hillforts. Now the second hillfort attack I did kill one too many raiders during the escalade step and will be addressing that in the next video. Raiders and Militia each count for 1/2 so a 2 loss result would kill 4 raiders. I have to say I do like the game but there is a awful lot to keep track of especially during the battle steps. So many exceptions/feats that could change things up.
didnt like this game at all, hated the battle system compared to other COIN games. They keep trying to stretch the engine but I just dont think they can come up with much more
As a European it's fascinating to see how much Americans will struggle with foreign languages and will pronounce everything like it's North American English I mean, "foederati" and "federal" are basically the same word but you can pretend it's Spanish if that helps😅
+Kryspin Trych it's ok for 2 players. One can play the Briton factions while one plays the raider factions. The only problem with that is if fragmentation happens the Briton factions become completely seperate.
I've received mine this week, what a fantastic game! Still reading the rules and learning the system. Thanks for the videos!
Great Video, thanks. Getting ready to play my first game with 3 players. It's quite intimidating but this really helps.

Awesome thx! Sorry for me being the 120th person who asked this, should’ve checked your other vids more thoroughly...
This is not specified COIN as Colonial Twilight? But is it more friendly for two players than other COIN games?

In battle, Raiders aren't half at the last phase... right?
And don't you need at least 1 raider left to kill a settlement?
Where did you get those giant tweezers?

8:47, that "shit" is pronounced KO-MI-TA-TUSS (singular)
Saxon March is for Warbands not raiders. You were incorrect.
