Hi Abelhawk, love the content. The druid of talon has james bond spy related quotes due to the nature of his spell kit. He can turn into raven form, navigate accross the map and cast faerie fire on opponets to gain vision. Essentially he infiltrates and is spying on the opponent .
All of these puns completely flew over my head when I was a kid, but now I'm wondering if there's actually any serious voiceline in the game at all lol

I think "I can't stop dancing" from the Druid of the Claw is a reference to Baloo from The Jungle Book and the song "I wanna be like you", where he's overtaken by music.
I haven't been able to find confirmation of this anywhere, but I'm so certain that the Keeper of the Grove quote "Well... There it is." is a reference to Jeff Goldblum's character of Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park. He's mentions how the park is against the natural order and brings up nature's power to crush man made obstacles. One of his most iconic scenes in the movie, typically made as a meme, is in the lab / hatchery after he finishes explaining how it's foolish to believe that artificially keeping all the dinosaurs female will maintain population control in the park, and he finishes by saying, "Well... There it is."
The whole Fuzzy Wuzzy poem also occurs in description on some of the units on that official custom map where you fight unique enemy factions, one of which could be bears. Forgot what it was called.

I found the Spirit and Avatar of Vengence lines to be a little creepier once I gave it some time to (over)think. The spirits almost sound hurried and desperate and the line "...Drained of life" just sounds like almost slothful through all that creepy tone. Maybe a reference to how a life of vengeance generally ain't doing good for you?
I think the Druid of the Talon makes James Bond references because they are supposed to be the intelligence-gatherers of the Night Elves... or something like that, lore-wise.

Huntress when attacking is saying "come and get it" followed by her mount's growl. That is reference to Spartan king Leonidas' quote "come and take them", when Spartans were asked by Persian king Xerxes to surrender their weapons.
Another is one of the Keeper of the Grove's movement lines: "well, there it is" which is a reference to the 1984 film Amadeus as it is a line that emperor Joseph often uses
@@rdsasuke1 as a rule, yes, the jokes/flirts are race specific, not class. But the demon hunters are a special case since they can only be one race on each side, so they got their own unique jokes/flirts for each faction and different voice actors.
6:35: I'm 90% sure that's not a reference to metallica, but a reference to how a daemon hunter fights daemons with their own magic; literally hellfire with hellfire.
Official Cambridge English Dictionary states for the word "fire" that: "to cause a weapon to shoot bullets, arrows, or missiles" Also there are many examples of usage of word "fire" in bow and arrow stated cases, like movies: "Lord Of The Rings:Fellowship Of The Ring" "Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King" "The Great War". And many books, games and shows. So firearms is not necessary for usage of "Fire". Although couple words like" Loose""Release" or "Away" had been used in other examples but nonetheless" Fire" was one of them too. So don't blame Blizzard for nothing lol

So, half a month of work (and it's not finished yet), and i translated (with the great help of my comrade Saelendious) our russian unit quotes into english with links to videos with russian voices and even with indication of our voice actors.
That's not a final version, but most of it is ready.

Это круто, спасибо.
Эти отсылки к военкомату, русским сказкам, песням и фильмам просто золото.
Damn, really appreciated.
Heh,by the way,for any people that might see this - "I have not seen women for ten thousand years!" became a very popular Russian meme about Illidan. And still, nowadays people love to joking around the fact that he was a virgin for a "ten thousand years!". Especially it's funny when they see an erotic fan-art with Illidan X)
Rest in Peace Steve Irwin.
Demon Hunter says " At last, We shall have revenge" a quote from Darth Maul in Star Wars : The Phantom Menace when hes talking to Darth Sidius
Neutral units and heroes next? Missed the Blood Elf Worker from the human campaign, but that one can fit in the neutral ones then.
Today female night elves sound like princesses forced to wear armor
been waiting on you
Not sure has anyone mentioned this yet, but Crusader song by Saxon has most likely inspired some of the Cenarius quotes. :)
Saddly, I expected that the stone giants have some kind of hidden meaning in there growling. Thx for the vid!
"I'll give it a shot"
Oh wow... That sounded like has multiples meaning
the archer voice actor sounds pretty cute
Druid of the Claw: Got any Gummy Humans?
Me: Eat me!
At 8:54 the sockets are also found in wow starting from the BC expansion
Warcraft 3 was released in 2002.
Oh I member 1599, when movies were great
I don't like how serious Dryad's face looks despite how her voice shows otherwise. She looks so pissed.
It's insane how the Druid of the Claw looks like the Goron when it's pigment changes😮
they actually used the Demon Hunter lines as basis for some of the DH jokes when the class was introduced into WoW
Do classes have jokes in WoW ? I thought the jokes your character says were based on it's race only.
@@rdsasuke1 as a rule, yes, the jokes/flirts are race specific, not class. But the demon hunters are a special case since they can only be one race on each side, so they got their own unique jokes/flirts for each faction and different voice actors.
These videos are GOLD
6:35: I'm 90% sure that's not a reference to metallica, but a reference to how a daemon hunter fights daemons with their own magic; literally hellfire with hellfire.
"...drained of life". Well, that was unexpected.
~3:23 BECOSE HE WEARS CAPE N COWL
"What we got here is failure to communicate."
GUNS N ROSES - CIVIL WAR
Isnt fight fire with fire just a general expression? I doubt its a specific ref to the Metallica song
You can use Fire with bow :)
Great video...looking forward to the next video
Lovely video as always my good sir
