Autocar is my always first choice to get a better idea and understanding of any vehicle launched in India. Its also awesome how you guys add behind the scenes also. More power to you guys. Thank you. ❤️
I think rishad is use to v.fast bikes! He seemed to expect a little more performance from this bike, it would seem. However, Triumphs aim for this bike, had to tick a lot of boxes, I think they did a great job. I am 58 years old. And have had many bikes. I have seen all the reviews for bikes in this segment. They all have some compromises, well! I chose the Trident and bought one recently (in England). It's light agile, easy to ride, fast when you ask it to be, it makes me smile. I am between 5ft 9-5ft 10. It fits me well. I traded in my 2019 street twin, so I only had to pay £2,000 it's a great little all-rounder.
Wonderfully priced, this competes with the Honda CB650r which it undercuts by more than a lakh! Glad to see Triumph focusing on the entry level segment
I will undoubtedly pick the new Benelli TNT 600i 2021 which will launch in October in India. It is more powerful, better sound with dual exhaust ,new front all LED headlight design , a new fully digital colour TFT display, and that Benelli TNT 600 brand value over it's segment makes it the best middle Weight category naked sports bike. This bike is nothing infront of the new bike if you guys see it.
The 2021 Benelli hasn't been launched yet but if its anything like the 2020 model it has a FAR worse power to weight ratio. Benelli is an Italian brand but all its bikes are made in China and build quality, fit and finish and reliability are cheap Chinese quality. Benelli has now become a cheap brand that you buy if you can't afford any good brand like Triumph. And lastly Benelli service in India is #1 from the bottom. Horrible service and many people are forced to sell their TNT bikes due to poor reliability. The 500cc engine bikes are a lot more reliable than the TNT 600i which has an old 2005 Yamaha R6 engine in a detuned state.
A worthy upgrade from the 200-350cc segment of bikes. Looks neatly wrapped. Not a single part looks awkwardly done. The chassis is built to take on the bad roads as well. Great review.🤗🙌 BTS: Triber, Trident Tested on a Rescue Mission.😄❤
Agree with the comment that this bike may not suit most of the Duke 390 owners, even the old ST675 would be better bet anyday and you can get one at a good rate for a second hand bike
Something like someone already own's a 150-200cc who want's a inline 4 bike as a dream bike to own but want to settle with Trident for the price it offers.
How about a comparative review of all 650's now on sale in India. Especially Ninja/ Z 650 vs Trident vs CB/ CBR 650. I know all three have two, three & four cylinders respectively, but the torque available in all three makes the bikes character different. Looking forward
The Z650 is a lot worse than this bike. Poorer suspension is the biggest gripe. The Z650 engine is also very vibey. Don't get me wrong the Z650 is a fantastic bike but when compared to the Trident it falls behind in almost every department. Another issue is that the Z650 costs some 16k per year in service while the Trident is 9k. So whatever upfront savings you get you will lose in a few years. The only real saving grace of the Z650 is the low and mid range torque. It plants a MASSIVE smile on your face when you wring the throttle. The Honda is best used on long open roads. It has poor low end torque and it makes its peak torque quite high in the rev range.
But I still feel that street triple R is much better for me , however I have question what kind of fuel trident is it good with normal fuel or I have to go for 97 octane
I agree. R is much more involving. Triumph doesn't quite any particular fuel for any of its bikes. A friend at the service center says they advice owners to be careful about filling at trusted fuel stations to avoid dirty or diluted fuel.
I would still prefer duke 390 to this. This motorcycle is neither a starter bike nor a upgrade worthy one. It’s like Harley street 750, just exists for the sake of it.
Autocar india , i used to race a 220hp race prepped R1 at the Virginia International Raceway, for 5 years , have sold it off to another racer before coming back to india, spent money in a house, and am now looking for a relaxed street riding, and enthusiastic riding, basically a veteran rider looking for a good street bike that can tour too, which bikes do you recommend for me ? Racing has caused my wrists to pain after a long time in the saddle, and due to much racing on my race prepped r1 , the doctor's also said that my back pain is due to that , I'm looking for a relaxed bike ( ergonomics ). Can you suggest? I'm already looking at the trident maybe!
Trident is pretty comfortable. But from what your last bike was you'll probably wish for some more spicy performance and that's where the Street Triple R will deliver. Bar risers can make it a more comfortable riding position. Another completely different direction is the Multistrada 950 - Do it all in complete comfort!
@@RishaadMody1 thanks for the help ! Very good narration, very good modulatiom, and deep observations ! Love your reviews ! I'm now looking at a triumph trident 660(a city bike, tourer, great versatility, great fun on tracks too), a used Honda VFR 800 (great sports tourer with beautiful design) , or a used Ducati Monster 800 (very cheap at 3 lakhs for less than 20,000 kms lol).
Trident has more power, better fit and finish, more features, lesser service costs and is generally a better bike. The Z650 is easier to ride at slower speeds due the better low end torque, has more service centres and is almost a lakh cheaper. Also the Z650 has plenty of after market accessories which the Trident currently lacks
Oh.. that 50 frames are just a bliss to the eyes..
"trident tested" good pun there 😂

I must say, Triumph has come up with one gorgeous bike!
Rishaad mody is exceptional with his bike reviews 👌
Thanks 😄
I know right 👍🏻
Oh yes ! Such a soothing, clear voice. And he really thinks about what he is saying than just blindly blurting out specs from a brochure
Can’t wait to ride this beauty on my birthday 🤎🤎🤎
Trident shoot and rescue mission in one day !! Rishaad the savior !
Loved the review👌
Really enjoyed the Behind The Scenes at the end, keep 'em coming😄😄
Man was waiting for this review!!!!!
Sorry for the looooong wait!
That low ground clearance
Thanks autocar for providing the number which is not available anywhere

Pretty much a two lakh difference on road.
Beautiful description as well as fantastic ride...
loved the goof ups shown at the end. :-)
Waiting for this so long !!!

Give that video editor a raise

Sure, go for it, probably you haven't heard of issues of Benelli owners of having to deal wit parts, and very few accessories
Triumph is such a lovable brand... 1 of my favourite...!
Respect + for saving the fish
When are the next set of royal Enfield coming ?
August/September
My local dealer is accepting unofficial booking of 350 classic with delivery in 1st or 2nd week of sept and launch in 3rd/4th week of aug
Great content great review 👍🏻
Love Auto Car forever 😍
Was just waiting for the autocar opinion
Pls do a review on the speedmaster
first 50 seconds of video was like worthy in itself
adding behind the scene part is best way to end the video
Wow what a comprehensive review. Hey @Rishaad, Were you able to grip the tank properly with your thighs
I could, but not as comfortably as I'd like.
finally a good looking scrambler
scrambler ??🤔
Bike is so well proportioned 👍👍
Make video on trident vs scrambler ❤️
Nice review...Pls do a review of latest triumph Street twin also...
Lovely review 👏

Wow awesome how was the city ride is it difficult to manage
@Autocar India and @rishaadmody Hi, is there any news as to when triumph speed twin 2021 launch will take place in India?
Excellent analysis
Please bring more interviews of car and also motorcycle designers just like of Mr. Pratap Bose 🤩🤩🤩
This bike looks Amazing.
Finally! thanks for this.
Perfect beginner's bike ! Well done Triumph.
That TRIDENT with SPOKE RIMS would look like a MV AGUSTA BRUTALE
That would be a cool looking bike
Hey, Rishaad. Was the 'test' you were referring to RT-PCR? 😆
Are you uploading the dbx review???
Looks like a premium and Handsome package. Good for Price.
Is this suitable as a first motorcycle for someone has never owned a motorcycle?
Something like someone already own's a 150-200cc who want's a inline 4 bike as a dream bike to own but want to settle with Trident for the price it offers.
No. A 150cc bike would be a good starting point. 80hp is a lot for someone learning to ride.
What a beautiful machine ❤❤
compact than bajaj dominar? I'd agree if you said so with CB 650R, Z 650 or MT-07

Could you guys do a Honda CB650R review as well?
We're waiting for the test bike from Honda. As soon as we get one.
Please review Bobber Bonvelle ... and is it good for City rides..??
one of my fav bike designs.
Awesome bike 💯
Is it good for a long ride ?
Thank you, was waiting for this
Please make a video on ducati scrambler night shift
I had crush on BMW F900R.. i think someone else is knocking my heart door... 💕😻(I can't afford it now but trust me, i will never let go my dream)
I love this bike ❤️
Can you make a drag race video of This bike with duke 390 ?
No comparison.
Wil thruxton rs come to india
Yet to watch a video where dude doesnt passively speak about him being tall😊
Haha. Since I'm not average height, I need to make it clear what the bike fits like, becuase I tend to make some bikes look small.
6.9 ex showroom price but when you really going to buy it goes upto 8.5
State taxes differ dramatically, which is why we mention the ex-showroom prices.
Please review new Triumph Speed Twin, thanks
Nice bike, but how about those riding pants? which brand/model?
These are the Held Vento pants. Bought then from Lazy Ass Bikers in Mumbai
please please SPEED TRIPLE 1200 RS next
I love this bike 😍
Guys may i know why Honda CBR 650R review is left out ?
Becuase were yet to receive a test bike from Honda.
Pls get the speed twin on the road
How does this sound as a starter bike considering it has riding modes, is a middleweight, light bike?
It's a great first big bike, but better to learn on something with much less power.
Great video
Waiting for this .
Please review cb 650r and cbr 650r 2021
After upgrading from KTM RC 200 , i do not find trident to intimidating to me very easy and very good handling, it is very beginner friendly bike
But I still feel that street triple R is much better for me , however I have question what kind of fuel trident is it good with normal fuel or I have to go for 97 octane
Normal fuel will do
I agree. R is much more involving. Triumph doesn't quite any particular fuel for any of its bikes. A friend at the service center says they advice owners to be careful about filling at trusted fuel stations to avoid dirty or diluted fuel.
How about pillion rider, is space comfortable for pillion?
Space is a little tight, but comfort is not bad for short distances.
Compared to ducati scrambler ?
No doubt a very option. But not gonna beat the Honda 650R.
Street twin or Trident
which one should I go for???
Quite different bikes. Test ride both and see what you feel.
Love at first sight ❤
For me street triple
Looks🔥
I would still prefer duke 390 to this. This motorcycle is neither a starter bike nor a upgrade worthy one. It’s like Harley street 750, just exists for the sake of it.
I think you have very little or no knowledge of motorcycles
Which one is more affordable between z900 or trident...????
Trident is far more affordable. Just a little more expensive than the overpriced Z650.
Much awaited

Triumph 🔥🔥🔥
Hi Autocar, My height is 5ft and 3 inches. Do you think a person of my height will be able to ride it? Reply appreciated
Yes you will be able to ride it. You won't have two planted feet but if you wear boots you should be fine
Nice & Thanks :)
What about mileage ?
When you have budget for such bikes please forget about mileage
Pls review honda cb650r
As soon as Honda gives us a test bike.
Pl do a review on Honda cbr650
As soon as Honda gives us a test bike.
They should use this engine in a new mini tiger
Top speed?
Truimph and Bajaj are working together to make a bike. What it'll be a d660 or a trident 400 idk man
It'll be much smaller than that.
i rlly like this,,, i want to hav this
On the ergonomics point, how tall is the presenter in the video? Thank you
Rishaad is 6'2"
@@autocarindia1 6'1" to be precise, but with the boots on, sure, probably 6'2" :p
I am sold!!!!
Triumph Trident 660 vs Kawasaki Z650... Which is better?
Z650 is out of competition, Trident is 3 cylinder motorcycle with fill tech
Trident has more power, better fit and finish, more features, lesser service costs and is generally a better bike. The Z650 is easier to ride at slower speeds due the better low end torque, has more service centres and is almost a lakh cheaper. Also the Z650 has plenty of after market accessories which the Trident currently lacks
The throttle response on this is really poor
