Hey Zeek! I have a hot tip for more accurate exposure setting in RAW. If you want to shoot RAW and you are using histogram or waveform to achieve HDR make sure to set your exposure in Framing mode not Real Time. I’ve checked this using a light meter and framing mode gives much more accurate exposure reading for RAW. Once you’re happy with exposure settings you can flip back to Real Time if you prefer.

It's the Original EOS M with RAW Video. I did a video comparing EOS M RAW with Canon M50 4K Video. But RAW video is only available for the EOS M/M2. The Original EOS M is better.

Hey Zeek I downloaded Magic Lantern and got it on to my EOS-S but when I hold the trash bin button the presets that you have don't show up for me. On the movie tab it only shows: Bit rate, REC key, Gradual Exposure, FPS override, HDR video, etc. but doesn't show what is on this video. Do you maybe have a solution for this?
Great!! Do you trust EOS M for work? I own a 5D MKII with ML but it often has some issues as glitched frames. Do you have the same issues with EOS M too?
great video ! this rig is sick! can you tell me about the lens? this wide angle by 7artisans 12mm 2.8 is it stabilized ? and is it wider than 18-55 IS with a speedbooster ? (speedbooster gives 2.8 to the widest focal length for 18-55) and it is stabilized as well
This 7Artisans 12mm F2.8 is native Eos m mount, so no speedbooster can be used. It's not stabilised, but that can be done in post. It's a nice lens, good colour and contrast. TT Artisans 17mm F1.4 is another interesting lens for the Eos m mount.
Hey also I wanna say with my monitor (actually capture care to my computer most of them work except the first 1080p, the one with variable refresh rate the 2.5k etc all work. Idk if it’s my screen or what but I find it wierd, it does black out the main screen so I cna only see out of my computer monitor but hey the setting work
i like this rig it is very similar to my rig but different in the brands of monitor but same type usb c power ,my cag is one from xt2 fujifilm has a curve metal corner that gives some additional grip and i mount L grip for additional stability ,nice job on the video keep up the efforts

No problem! I use and Recommend SanDisk Extreme PRO 64GB and above. As for monitors, it's a Feelworld F5, mine is that, just unbranded at the time. They're the same.
Unfortunately I don't own the Tokina 11-16mm. I have used the Tokina 12-28mm. It wasn't the best lens. It was soft and had a lot of chromatic aberration. If I can get the 11-16 at a good price then I will definitely do this test.
I only use the powerbank for my EOS M. As for the monitor, I just use the small Sony batteries. I have two small and two medium. Two medium sizes are.lretty good for whole day shooting with these monitors. They don't require as much power as say the Atomos Ninja V, which drains these batteries like they were never charged.

With ML, go to the overlay tab.and select "clear overlay" so no information pops up on the screen. In terms of webcam HDMI output, the resolution is poor, it's like below 720p or so. I don't think it's a good choice as a webcam tbh.
@@alexgrom5538 I don't have that power cable. Mine is to USB C not DC. I personally would just go with an approved power bank. Using a monitor all the time on the EOS M isn't probably the best option as a power solution.

When I put the SD card, the screen wont start and the led is constantly blinking, I tried other SD cards and I have the same results. how can I fix this? I just had my Eos m for a couple of months and I really have no money to buy a new one. Zeek, on the 2.5 HDMI with monitor, I get the reverse as in, the black small rectangle on the right is as large as the preview area, which in my case is the squeezed (distorted) to the size equivalent to your black one. in other words the preview is the size of the black box (not usable). Any thing else I should turn off? BTW: on a test recording the 2.5 HDMI produced 1464x824!!!

This is the original EOS M Camera from 2012. It can shoot RAW Video unlike other cheap cameras out there. This gives more flexibility in post than with 8 bit entry-level cameras. The colours are also very nice.

@@Nick_Ski Press info button to enter dashboard, top left camera icon, make sure you're in manual mode. At the top of the Eos m, switch the dial to Photo Mode.
My god, you are amazing with all your incredible inventions. Actually I am surprised, you have got the Black magic pocket 6K but you are still busy with the EOS M. Higher resolution (upsampled) and no aliasing/moire. Also has a 2x crop which extends the reach of lenses. It's the least crop if you want to avoid aliasing/moire.

Go to ML Tab 3, Customized buttons and disable focus Aid and x3 Crop Toggle.

@@zeusarts_illustration With the smartphone it can be an issue, normal camera monitors should be fine. I use the Portkeys LH5P and Feelworld F6 PLUS

For work, I could use it, but it couldn't be 100% trusted. In that case you're looking at something like the Canon 5D3.

Power bank and hdmi cable that "works wonders"? What do you mean by that? That they just work?
Power bank lasts for ages. Used it for a whole week, and it still has batter left. Barely have to worry about battery life these days.

We want to see Canon eos M RAW all modes with speedbooster +Tokina 11-16mm compared to regular canon Ef-m adapter + 16-16mm

I don't power the monitor from the power bank. I use small batteries for that.

I have a beautiful limited blue eos m I love it obsessed
followed the instructions at around the 16 min mark to get continuous raw 1920x1080 but i get 58 to 62 frames at 17mbps. what am i doing wrong

It's not broken, don't worry haha. You need to format the card correctly. Format the SD on the computer as MS-Dos if you're on Mac.

I haven't used the 5D3 with that mode. But If the mode is similar, then you can zoom the liveview in with the monitor

I use 2.5K FRTP mode, it's amazing. For higher resolutions, here are the settings:

Just installed magic lantern on my eos m but I’m only getting 15 seconds record time on hd 1080p 24 fps. How can I fix this?
What card are you using? SanDisk Extreme PRO is the best I've used. 95MB/s or 170MB/s.
