@@2025orbust the lenses won't produce the crop factor, it's mainly the camera and the modes you choose with the EOS M. M42 lenses are nice, 24/28mm are good focal lengths. Is the EOS M the recommended camera or do you recommend any of the supported cameras? Sorry for all the questions, I hope at-least one can get answered! Thank you Zeek!
Hey so: -14 bit means that there are 4 trillion possible colors that the camera can record, which means more vibrant images. -RAW means you get the raw data from the sensor, and you can change the image completely in post-production. -Magic Lantern is a modification that unlocks these capabilities in the camera, as they weren't advertised in the first place. -EOS M is pretty cheap so if it breaks it's not too much of a loss. $250 at most.

Do you use it? It seems the 5V isn't strong enough to sustain power for the EOS M. Is it working for you? For me, the only issue would be the really long Dummy Adapter cable.
@@ZeekEOSZ I had tested with two of those battery grip and work fine, one for the EOS M, and one for the Feelworld Display, it is very important to use good quality USB-C cable to the display, the Dummy adapter cable i cut it shorter and reconnect it on the side connect to the battery, i am waiting for the SMALLRIG Ultra-Slim 4K HDMI Adapter Cable coming next few day, once it was done i will post the detail of my build in the facebook group.

Thanks for a great video! I have some super 16 lenses and was thinking of getting the eos-m.I previously installed magic lantern on my 70d, but the aliasing was very bad, and I don't think there are any non line-skipped crop modes like the eos-m has. I was wondering which brand eos-m to c-mount adapter you were using? (I've bought c-mount adapters in the past that didn't allow for infinity focus. Thanks
I'm having the same issue; I can't focus with any of the three C-mount lenses I've bought. I thought it might be "bad luck" with the second-hand lenses, but it definitely must be the mount. Has any adapter worked for you on the EOS-M? Thanks!
colors and details and overall "look" out of this tiny EOS M beast is absolutely insane. Every time I watch ur videos I keep saying to myself.. how even this is possible with such a "casual" camera. But it is! - . I will try a little bit more 5k FTRP mode as I noticed it is producing very very clean and color-rich image. - despite a lack of tiny details it is very "filmic" like. really "true real film cinema kind'a look" to my eye. I also noticed those colors in this mode are stronger and more deep. It just feels so analog in 5k FTRP mode. I recently wached "Flora and Fauna" , "Gallery of Memories" and "-The City of Broad Shoulders-" by TheMintHippo - he is using 5k FTRP mode - he's also getting insane "filmic" analog feel.
I've been watching some TH-cam Documentaries in 720p Max on TH-cam haha, so I'm not too fussed with resolution, just give me the right colours and the look and I'm happy! This camera definitely packs a punch 👊💯🔥

I'm going to morocco next year for my wifes 50th and want to document it for her and that lens has such beauty. Would you be able to help me in where would I be able to find one?
@@ZeekEOSZ That is true, but. Pixel binning joining pixels with cross-spaced pattern so each color gets to much information from other. So it literally produces hardware blur. that helps with noise and moire but reduces overall crispness so much that cropped 920p actually produces more crisper image then binned 1080p.And sharpening does not help to gain it back :( When i found this, I now prefer noisier native 1080p which is only cropped here then full frame blurry one. Regardless thank you for you answer!)) Will try to find other viable solution or builds for that) Also i was testing to debayer videos on Fistwork (Kimmel modified) instead of MLVs Amaze. So it produces even sharper image with less artifacts and color noise. Those guys behind MLV app defiantly should try to add better debayering algorithms on it. It just mind blowing how much debayering affects final image quality.
hello! I love this video and the gear you are using. I am actually in the process of getting all the gear and lens and applying them to the Canon camera I already have. Do you think I should also get the specific canon camera you are using in this video? What Canon camera are you using here? Thank you so much!
Thanks for a great video! Completely changes the way I see my camera :D Question, will all of this work with the M6? Or any other camera for that matter?
Because with this mode the liveview isn't cropped in, I don't have to press the info button to check framing. The liveview is the correct framing even though it's a little smaller. It's just easier to do quick focusing. But the other high resolution modes are still fine and I do bounce between them.

Well, the Blackmagic Pocket 6K can't accept these lenses due to flange distance. These lenses would become macro.
Man, that is awesome! 🔥🔥🔥 Great work! 👍🏻

Hey zeek, you can use Ulanzi BG-2 Powered Hand Grip, it is the best for EOS M set up.
@@jxmai7687 good to know! Thanks for sharing 😎👍🍻
I like your videos and the passion you put in each one. Thank you! This was very informative :)
Appreciate it! 😎🙌🔥
Thanks, Zeek...Just ordered mine and will work on the build with your suggestions. I'm a 3-D filmmaker using the JVC 3-D cams. Along with 2D Canon 5D. Love your posts. Thanks again!
Interesting little cam.. do you know the Dinamic Range value or capability for this camera w/the raw setting?
For photo RAW it's reported at 11.2 or so. But from actually grading the raw footage, it easily feels like 12 to 12.5 stops if not a little more.
The shot of the lady from 8.21 to 8.25 is superb. Very 16-like indeed, with good bokeh but not too much at the same time. Pls. put a link to the very latest ML version. Thanks.
The build I use is in the description of this video:

I just bought a gh4 , speedbooster and tons of vintage and anamorphic projector lenses. No I'm more interested in canon eosm with lantern... hahaha the S16mm mode is amazing. Thanks for the inspiration! Hope to find a canon eosm body soon.
No problem! 😎👍
Fascinating as always and fantastic results... I keep learning with my A6300, but I have not sold my M yet... you keep inspiring me! :)
No problem! I also use these with my Sony ZVE10 with the C Mount Adapter I have and clear image zoom.
what's the exact EOS M is actually using?
@@a6428 the Original EOS M
@@ZeekEOSZ Thanks Zeek!!!
F*king smoke. THIS IS AWESOME BRO!! 👀
Mannnn would love to try this setup
Do it! Helps keep the footage stabilised and you can always add post stabilisation on top! 😎👌💯🔥
Thanks
I can't remember the brand tbh, just a cheap one off ebay
I'm having the same issue; I can't focus with any of the three C-mount lenses I've bought. I thought it might be "bad luck" with the second-hand lenses, but it definitely must be the mount. Has any adapter worked for you on the EOS-M? Thanks!
very inspiring piece, thanks man!
colors and details and overall "look" out of this tiny EOS M beast is absolutely insane.
Yes finally
Loving your channel!
Amazing content, now I want to build myself one like this. What ESO M version should I look for? Thanks
This is the Original EOS M. The only one that is good for RAW Video with ML. The Canon 700D is also good, but less lens choice selection.
@@ZeekEOSZ Thanks a lot Zeek for the quick answer👍
@@pakazzogaming7727 have you progressed in building that camera?

Hi Zeek, amazing inventions ones again. Great information. You think this handgrip will help me with my 5DMark3 and 16-35 mm f2.8 (no stabilizer) to get better smooth results. Now I use a gimbal but its to heavy. Keep on going.
Take care
greetings from the Netherlands
cheers Richard
Yes the pistol grip + neck strap will help for sure, and then you can apply stabilisation in post of you need.
Wow that’s amazing.
Impressive! Which lens did you use for the shot of the freeway overpass?
The Cosmicar 12.5mm F1.9 it was actually used for 99% of the shots in this video.
Great setup. 🤓👍. To many movies are trying to please everyone by going super sharp. I feel it end up looking fake . What I mean is the backgrounds and things on set that are in frame looks unnatural.. you can when something is staged or not .. some movies just to sharp
Hi @ZeekEOSZ! Thanks for this video, I got some old lenses I'm excited to try out, but am still very new to this. What is the adaptor on the end of the lens? Is that a filter adapter? Is there a specific brand or spec for these types of lenses?
sheeesh now this is amazing!
Always Interesting videos, great results with minimal gear 👍🏻
Appreciate it! 😎🙌💯
Really tripped me out when I saw Parkdale yacht club 😂 I'm a local
THis is great, what type of Dynamic range are you getting? It looks like 12 stops at least?
Yeah around 12 stops. It's rated 11.2 for RAW Photos, but with the raw video aspect, seems more than that, about 12.1or so.
@@ZeekEOSZ ok so my eos r6 gets approx 13 so no need to rush and get an M.
@@greenlightstudios3469 No rush, unless you absolutely need this look 😉
@@ZeekEOSZ I have a helios and a few vintage lens. I’m sure it’s different then raw video And also I have the moment cinebloom filters that I can get a vintage look through my newer lens. I basically only use auto focus lens though.
@@greenlightstudios3469 I've used and owned the R6, mainly for the channel content. It's a great FF cam for sure. Pop some old glass and you can definitely get great results! 😎👌🔥
damn you're making me want to buy and make this rig
Excuse me but what is your adapter ring ? Also your vidéo is super
The Adapter ring should be 43-52mm filter ring.
Awesome video! and I know Ben and Gen :) Small world
hi zeek, thank you. for your content. So on the back on your videos im about to purchase an EOS M and now I really want one of those cosmicar lens. I'm going to morocco next year for my wifes 50th and want to document it for her and that lens has such beauty. Would you be able to help me in where would I be able to find one?
Thank you for great video) As always ;)
Just If you know. Is there any way to turned off pixel binning on 5D mk iii if full-frame 1080p?
You can't disable pixel binning. The 5D3 produces nice quality with 1080 RAW. It's the cleanest ML Camera with no aliasing.
@@ZeekEOSZ That is true, but. Pixel binning joining pixels with cross-spaced pattern so each color gets to much information from other. So it literally produces hardware blur. that helps with noise and moire but reduces overall crispness so much that cropped 920p actually produces more crisper image then binned 1080p.And sharpening does not help to gain it back :(
When i found this, I now prefer noisier native 1080p which is only cropped here then full frame blurry one.
Regardless thank you for you answer!))
Will try to find other viable solution or builds for that)
Also i was testing to debayer videos on Fistwork (Kimmel modified) instead of MLVs Amaze.
I am using the Original EOS M with Magic Lantern RAW. I recommend it for this type of stuff.
Thanks for a great video! Completely changes the way I see my camera :D Question, will all of this work with the M6? Or any other camera for that matter?
Awesome video, man! Went to NHS with Ben! Cool to see him here haha
No way haha, awesome! 😎🙌💯
Great video Zeek! Why do you use the 2.5k 1:1 centered frtp and not the 2.5k 2520x1418 that you mentioned in other videos?
Because with this mode the liveview isn't cropped in, I don't have to press the info button to check framing. The liveview is the correct framing even though it's a little smaller. It's just easier to do quick focusing. But the other high resolution modes are still fine and I do bounce between them.
@@ZeekEOSZ Oh, makes sense! Thank you!
@@ZeekEOSZ Zeek, sorry for keep asking questions. I recently bought a c-mount lens and an adapter and the lens doesn't focus to infinity. Has this ever happened to you?
@@Henriqueiros No it hasn't. Did you get a C mount to Eos m Adapter, or C Mount to EF?
