Baylee you legit just saved my I pad, I thought it was my screen being unresponsive for a month now but no it was the apple pencil unscrewed!!!! omg. 11:45
Hello! Your ring rash could potentially be caused by soap, dead skins cells or dust getting caught under it and that is reacting to your skin. If you pour some warm water and a tiny bit of washing up liquid in a bowl. Leave it to soak and then brush it with a toothbrush. It should remove anything irritating your skin. :) I work in a jewellers and we had people coming in all the time about it. Fingers cross it works!!! P.s. I realised you said about the build up after the rash. I paused the video!! 😂😂
My day job is at a garage we’ve been open the entire time. They’ve not took it seriously at all. If you have a covid fee on your bill I’d ask them to show you proof of them actually taking precautions. As it stands our fee is a lie and it has me looking for another job bc the companies dishonesty if really effecting my mental health. Been working extra hard on my art.
Had a friend once with bad ring rash. We used to joke that she was allergic to marriage. She noticed it would stop after she took her ring to be professionally cleaned. Turned out not to be the cleaning that helped but the polish protector they applied after cleaning. Check out Jewelry Shield on Amazon.
Hey baylee love your channel and check for new videos every day and while waiting for new videos y have been watching your old vlogs from 6 years ago and you’re still very fun to watch thanks for making my cuarentine a little more bearable.
May I suggest something for when you put your ring back on: When washing your hands (or doing anything that involves your hands getting wet and/or covered in soap/lotions/etc.) take your ring off. It's something I do because I get rashes do to my eczema, so to cut down on them I take my wedding ring off, wash my hands (or whatever) then put it back on. I also recommend getting the ring itself cleaned from time to time. There are may types of jewelry cleaners out there you can try or you can also see if the baking soda method will work, too. The other thing I would like to suggest is: since you are getting back into doing more animation is, why not use Skill Share (especially if they are still a sponsor of the art channel or just doing it however you want) and see about doing an animation on Procrate. With the Procreate 5 update you can now do animation. I personally haven't tried it, but I have seen it and it looks really nice. Maybe do something like a vlog, but for your art channel? It's just a thought. I hope this long comment gives you ideas and I hope your finger feels better soon!
when you mentioned making an animation of a mini baylee drawing they art in a speedpaint, for whatever reason my brain instantly jumped to "ah yes baylee will paint her hand to greenscreen it out" :D
Sooo early. Excited. Love the vlog!!! I recommend drawing your little animated selfs world. Like its different in her world than it is for your real you.
Ah i always love your vlogs ! They are so chill and nice to listen too, especially when I'm doing work 🤣♥️ one thing that has been baffling me for a while tho is what is the difference between A grade and B grade pins ? Because visually from what i see on camera they look the same ? 🤣♥️♥️
All my cats have gotten pretty Chonk so Ive cut back on their food and only feed them twice a day and less food. They be hangry. Much ouch. Such youch. They be chomping me for lunch instead. 🙃
Re: your ring, it definitely seems more like dermatitis from constant hand washing, same thing happened to me. After a few days of having my rings off it completely cleared up.
I never had any issues with nickel in earrings but now whenever I wear something with nickel my ears are awful. Get some 0.5% hydrocortisone cream and whack that on it. Might just be some contact dermatitis if you're washing your hands more and the soap is getting into irritated skin where your ring is. Either way it'll help with swelling and itching.
Art is looking good! The rash on your finger is from your ring holding onto alot of moisture. I had the same prob with the gloves I wear at work my doc prescribed me some cream I think it's called taro mometasone it will help with the itching and heal your skin
Hey Baylee! I'm having the same problem with my white gold ring I wear! I've worn it for over ten years with no problem but this year it's giving me an awful rash and it's scaly, just like you described! At first I thought it was from all the hand washing I was doing when Covid happened, but I have gotten better routines for hand washing and haven't been doing as much to need as much hand washing and so I put it back on and within a night it did the same thing without me washing my hands much at all. Mind you I wore this ring for over ten years straight never taking it off and never having issues with it. I think you said your ring was white gold and mine is too and I know that white gold rings are plated with rhodium and overtime that plating can wear down. I'm wondering if the nickel you've mentioned is used under the rhodium as a way to adhere it and if maybe the outer plating is wearing down? Or if there's some sort of strange chemical something going on between all the metals as they wear down? I guess what I'm saying is it sounds like maybe it's time for you and me to get our rings replated! 😂 Anyway, sorry for the long post, I was just shocked that you were having the same issue and that based on your experience it seemed like it might be what I had been wondering about the plating. Definitely something to check into, anyway! I wish you luck getting yours cleared up!
What a coincidence that my laptop was acting up yesterday too 😂😭 but it’s fine now. Worse part is, i have a deadline for work this week. Glad our laptops ended up being okay from the glitches 😂❄️ hope that wont happen ever again~
Omg I realize now I am watching on my hubby's account. 😅 So no it is not he who is commenting. BUT I wanted to mention that the whole ring allergy thing could just be as simple as not drying underneath the ring completely after getting it wet. Kinda like an athletes foot type of fungus.. Sounds way more disgusting than it is 🤣😅. Love u girl... BAY IS BAE!!!! 😘
My friend is wearing her wedding band and engagement ring on a necklace chain right now because she’s expecting a baby and having some swelling in her fingers. Maybe you could do that if you want to keep wearing them while your finger heals up :)?
For the ring might be that it’s a bit tight and so the water underneath doesn’t dry because no air is going in. If not, then an easy fix would be to apply a bit a sealer or even clear nail polish where it touches the skin. Also it’s funny that you ate the tacos like that. You might want to look into getting Tostada shells since essentially that is what you made lol. I highly recommend.
Ring Rash answer: It’s water getting trapped between the bands and remaining on your skin after you wash your hands. It’s happened to me every now and then over the past 23 years. I’ve always washed my hands a lot. After your finger heals and you start wearing your ring again, make sure you move it up your finger a little to dry underneath after each hand wash. Hope this helps. :)
Hey I have a question to all the commenters and watchers here. I know Baylee uses the Hammermill Color Copy Cardstock but we dont really can get that here in europe, unless expensively imported. Does anybody know if there is a Cardstock in europe / germany that is similar if not basically the same to that one? Thanks in advance to y'all!
I use Clairalfa 250g/m2 from Clairefontaine, I’m very satisfied with the quality! And it’s compatible with printers too. So if you have a digital sketch you can print it and then color it with alcohol markers without any problem.
@@marissajones2081 I tried that once but it didnt really seem to work like the hammermill cardstock, of course i can only compare it to the videos here but i guess its just the mix of not soaking up too much ink and having just the right surface so it is smooth and blendable. maybe i'm being too nitpicky but i really dont want a mediocre paper when i have to pay so much for the markers
@@dorsvenabili5573 does it bleed a lot? i'm looking for a cardstock that doesnt soak up too much ink and has a smooth surface, but not like has a shiny coat on top since that just makes the alcohol ink pool and basically renders the paper impossible to work with
@@dorsvenabili5573 i bought the paper and i gotta say i am REALLY surprised! it works so well with the markers, you gotta be quick when blending but thats definitely worth it. Super smooth surface and for a few bucks you get 125 sheets. Thanks so much for the recommendation i finally didnt waste my money on damn useless paper :D
Heya. I get what they call bartenders hands. From washing all the time. My doc recommended a mix of a Vaseline like cream, Neosporin, and cortisone cream. Takes about 3 days to knock it back. Good luck!
I’m not wearing my rings right now because of similar rash/dry skin. I put it down to the excessive hand washing because of COVID. It’s cleared up but I’ve just kept the rings off for now - it’s not like I’m going anywhere!
Get your ring professionally cleaned and have the prongs/diamonds checked too! Fine Jewelry should be inspected every three to six months & you’ll absolutely see a difference in the irritation! AND it’ll sparkle and shine so much more after a real polish!
I'm one of the first viewers of this video, first time for everything, ha. Also since you've started animation again, it inspired me to make my own gifs in procreate and it's been fun, so thanks for the inspiration...again Baylee ☺
Just before you said it I thougb "Thumbelina" yippie. Same idea. I have aamenissue with my ring when the soap builds up under the ring in the cracks and crevices. Just cleannit out and all good. Been along time since it has happened.
Lol 😂 you should just get the flat tostada ones if you are going to snap them in half. You do you though since I don’t think they have interesting flavors like cool ranch 🤔
With the ring problem you could have developed contact dermatitis to water, if you dont dry your hands fully water can get stuck under there and cause irritation, I also love the illustration!
Oh, and another cause of those rashes is skin not being dried thoroughly under the ring after it gets wet. Take your rings off and dry everything very thoroughly after washing your hands, doing dishes, showering, swimming, sweating, etc.
As someone who works in jewelry, what we tell people is you're probably wearing it too much. You actually arent supposed to wear your ring (or any jewelry) 24/7. You'll wear the gold and prongs down faster as well as it will just get dirty. Really just taking it off when you do messy things with your hands and at night should help a lot.
I had a printer do something similar where it just started screaming, and it sounded just like an emergency siren and I was so scared and confused I was just frozen until my family ran in
I'm obsessed with your vlogs. They're just relaxing and ordinarily interesting. Like you're not trying to be interesting, you just are. 🤗🤗
Yesssss, that’s exactly how I feel I just love her vlogs.
Copic: Who are you???
Copique: I'm you but more expensive
The mini Baylee totally gave me Lizzie McGuire vibes. Happy for you Bayls and glad to see you so excited to create content

Thanks! I wash my ring with an electric toothbrush, but it's been a while since I've cleaned it. I probably went too long this time!
Bumble Baylee sometimes if I don’t make sure my hands are good and dry under my rings it was cause a rash like that.
Removing winter tyres 🙈 wow... being from the Southern Hemisphere that’s something I never thought people had to do 😅 you learn something new everyday

A video with some animation blended in with an IRL art video reminds me of lizzie mcguire! it would be so cute!

Your animation idea has such Lizzie McGuire vibes, and I’m here for it!
The animation stuff is giving me Lizzie McGuire vibes with her mini me. Love it!
The dangly skin is their primordial pouch, I've had normal weight cats with big ol pouches :)
It also is pretty common on female cats that have been fixed. Scar tissue and the like.
your food ninja skills at the end XD loved it
Your idea for the intro sounded very like Bob Ross intro. I think you should play on that. It would be hilarious.
everytime someone says chillin i instantly get the song from descendants 'chillin like a villain' stuck in my head and dance xD
I literally JUST got the notification for this video 😂😭

watching you do all your work and be motivated encourage me to actually do my work 👁👄👁
I wake up I see a Baylee video , I click, simple. I love your videos Baylee
Ah i always love your vlogs ! They are so chill and nice to listen too, especially when I'm doing work 🤣♥️ one thing that has been baffling me for a while tho is what is the difference between A grade and B grade pins ? Because visually from what i see on camera they look the same ? 🤣♥️♥️
In an upcoming vlog could you possibly show some b grade or c grade pins in comparison to a grade so a buyer (like me)
could know what to expect?
That's actually something I should add to the store FAQ. Thank you!
I love your videos ❤️❤️
I loved your idea I will love to watch a video like that!!!
I get ring rashes too occasionally. To prevent it I just take my rings off when I sleep just to give my skin time to breathe.
Thats a good idea. I for some reason, never thought of that 😅
I also take off rings when I'm washing my hands or dishes
Baylee: what kind of a sneeze is that!?
Christian: a good one 🤣🤣🤣
All my cats have gotten pretty Chonk so Ive cut back on their food and only feed them twice a day and less food. They be hangry. Much ouch. Such youch. They be chomping me for lunch instead. 🙃
Hehe my conch question made it in the vlog. Love you Baylee
Technically you had tostadas, which are amazing! No judging on splitting the taco shells.
Re: your ring, it definitely seems more like dermatitis from constant hand washing, same thing happened to me. After a few days of having my rings off it completely cleared up.
I have a halloween/fall theme area in my room. I would display halloween anytime anywhere.

the taco shells usually break anyway so might as well break them to start with :)

Christian’s answer:
a good one. Looooooollllll
The ring finger thing happens to me too sometimes. It’s from friction of ring for me.
Baylee: White People Tacos
Me: **Internal Mexican Screech**
It just broke my heart seeing that

20:07 WHITE PEOPLE TACOS 😭😭😭 BYEEE
why were you whispering?? at the end there??? i loved this update
Christian was on a work video call.
I mean, you could just throw your rings on a chain and wear them that way until you figure out whats going on with the rash.
It sucks that you missed Hallowe'en, but the good news is you have more time to focus on winter and Christmas!
My friend is wearing her wedding band and engagement ring on a necklace chain right now because she’s expecting a baby and having some swelling in her fingers. Maybe you could do that if you want to keep wearing them while your finger heals up :)?
Allow me to introduce you to tostadas. Lmao.
You could make the Coptic drawing like that show Amby & Dexter??? Where the artists hands turn into little characters that do the craft?

I’m from Texas and although I knew winter tires existed it’s just weird hearing about them
Omg sounds like Baylee meets Lizzie McGuire!!
My surface use to do that screaming sound they told me It was one of the speakers where going out.

I SNAP MY SHELLS IN HALF TOO. Everyone always thinks I’m insane but there’s more taco per half shell when you do it that way 😂
But wouldn't tostada shells so the same thing w/o having to snap it in half? :0c

You should be able to get the Canson brand bristol board. It's essentially a thicker cardstock made for marker and ink.

Your tacos became tostadas!! Best way to eat "tacos"!! 😁

A study of Lalande would be a lovely attempt. No idea what medium.
I get a similar skin reaction to antibacterial soap

Both!

The idea of a mini Baylee makes me think of Lizzie McGuire's internal monologue!
When my laptop made a similar sound it was cause of the graphic card..
I always break my taco shells up into tiny pieces and eat as a salad.

You should just make some Halloween stickers! :3
ahhhh i’m somewhat early!!!
Hope your finger will get better soon
You can get contact dermititis from over exposure to anything pretty much. That's why nail techs where mask and/or gloves
Would it be to difficult or maybe too limiting to make your art come to life by animation and do an outtro for you?
lol you should buy tostadas, they're basically flat taco shells
Lol 😂 you should just get the flat tostada ones if you are going to snap them in half.
You do you though since I don’t think they have interesting flavors like cool ranch 🤔
The ring this is prob from all the hand washing and not being able to dry it properly under your rings. Mine get like that it will go away x

Bayleee, you do know thw repunzle kingdom is called the kingdom of corona,,,, sadness
