Why did you start with a square plane because after you add subdivision surface modifier it isn't a perfect circel. Why not start with a cylinder

Thanks taught me some good tricks, but why plane instead of a circle? I couldnt help but notice the edges ever so slightly even at the end, maybe if i didnt see you used plane i wouldnt have noticed that it isnt a perfectly accurate circle

Yeah because the plane is made of quads and it's easy to subdivide. If you would have started with a circle then you would have to do some additional steps to clean up the topology required for the displacement modifier. The face of the circle is made up of a triangle fan and wouldn't subdivide evenly.
