Thanks for posting this vid! Very helpful. Bought the struts myself - $59 total. Dealership wanted $400 to do it!

Thanks for this though the video steps were out of order the end result was the same. I have a 09 murano and paid $20 for struts and 15 minutes later all fix

Understood, the video was a bunch of short videos & they got out of order. About 6 mins I show how to remove them.

Sorry but the video sequence got out of order. Watch the entire video for all steps. Apologies.

Hi Carl! Did you go with OEM or aftermarket? If you did go with aftermarket, who is the manufacturer, where did you purchase them and are they still working? Thanks!

I did go with an aftermarket part from Advance Auto. Not sure of the brand, but after 2 years still working fine.

Please repost with higher volume. I have my phone at maximum volume and I still can't hear you well.

You made a video on how to replace the struts and you cut out the whole first part on how to remove them. It's pretty self explanatory but if somebody can't figure out how to put the new ones on they probably wouldn't know how to take the old ones off.

Looking at the left original struts, they are upside down... the inner shaft should be on the down side... so, it appears that someone replaced them incorrectly before you did and you simply followed suit and fitted them up-side-down.

Hmmm, I will take a 2nd look if I get a chance. It works great but I never thought of it going on another way.

@@carldavenport1583 It has to do with the lubrication and it reduces dust/ dirt build-up around the seal - with it on the down side less chance of it staying there. This video shows it a little th-cam.com/video/zVnbUbAbpZc/w-d-xo.html he explains it at about 3:10 It is also what I learned a few years back

@@keithaustin-brisbane6533 Makes sense so gravity can be used to lubricate the rod, interesting. Thanks.

I can hear someone talking, but the sound is so low, I can't make out what he's saying. :( EDIT: I had to crank the volume up on my computer to the maximum in order to hear.
