    I order for Africa to be truly free and independent, blood must be spilled. Protesting is not going to fix anything, sometimes violence is the only answer

      For us to be free and independent we need strong ideology. European ideology is to rule the world, China main ideology is to rule the world, Russia ideology is to rule the world, America ideology is to rule and control the world. Tell me what’s Africa ideology?

    Foreign aid is different from loans. Also you'd be foolish to expect altruism from nations. Neither the United States nor China have the responsibility to help us develop. China was a major receiver of foreign aid for decades. Same as post WW2 Europe, South Korea and Japan . Didn't stop them from developing.

    • @realjudebela
      @realjudebela  ปีที่แล้ว +11

      You’re right, Africa’s development or lack of is the responsibility of its leaders. Which is why I think using these aid to strong-arm African leaders into doing the will of these “philanthropists” is not only destroying the continent, it’s also giving rise to the lack of accountability from these leaders since they answer to the guys giving these aid instead of those voting them into office.
      Summary of the entire video.

    • @davidk.d.7591
      @davidk.d.7591 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@realjudebela I think the most important thing to note is that aid is NOT loans. The foreign aid we receive is like $2 billion or so a year. That's not really much on a national scale and is usually given in the form of services and goods or some other things like you said in the video. This AID doesn't require you to pay back. Loans on the other hands are given by nations through banks, World Bank, ICBC, AIIDB and so on. Those are the ones you're expected to pay back. I see nothing wrong with that. It's simple business. Countries actually forgive LOANS more than you might think. China and the IMF have forgiven a lot of African loans for example. Not out of charity of course. Like you pointed out, there's no charity in geopolitics. It's mainly because lots of times, the loans, especially in China's case is less for actual profit and more to gain international influence and to export their infrastructure industrial complex abroad. I agree with most of what you say and the hypocrisy and pretense is annoying but let's be honest. We wouldn't be any better if we were world powers. When you have a billion and half people to keep happy, you don't exactly have the luxury of kindness without profit. I also hate the way people use foreign aid as an excuse to try to absolve leaders of blame. Like foreign aid is what keeps them poor instead of the leaders mismanagement. Also, it's possible to be beholden to a foreign power and still develop your country. Look at Japan

    • @realjudebela
      @realjudebela  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidk.d.7591 I agree with you, I think I needed to make that distinction clear in the video. Aid is different from loans. Thanks for pointing this out.

      Tell me what good has aid done to the continent of Africa? I guess you must have been one of the beneficiary of the aid. You seems not to understand message Jude is passing. There is no free lunch without any strings attached to it. Are you now saying, the US, UK, Europe and China that are giving aid to African countries do not have poor people in their countries that mostly needed those aid. Their aid is business just to keep Africa poor.

    Great job boss man. It was about time this topic was broached. Your observations about Donor nations & recipient countries is fundamental.
    The UK is often represented abroad by the royal family, when they travel to Africa, the entourage is often made up of people from the business sector - same applies to the US.
    It's not uncommon to find that about 70% of foreign aid from the donor nation is contracted to companies from said donor nations.
    Step away from Africa & look at NATO nations arm supplies to Ukraine, It's big business for supply nations Military industrial complex - what you supply has to be replenish by the arms industry - jobs for the boys & girls.

    Give a man a fish, feed home for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed for a lifetime.
    We need to learn to fish on our own instead of waiting for others to give it to us. Whether that's China or Western powers.

    With respect to the likes of Ghana, I believe that this is in addition to conditioning countries to work on human rights, especially the L+ movement.
    It's also insane that the countries that need aid the most are not among the top countries getting them.

    If Africa can take full control of its resources today, it can pay off its debt like tomorrow. The aid that they offer is indeed toxic and it's not by mistake. They have been playing chess on a hig level. Africa countries need to become strategic because other leaders in the world are. We can't just sit without any plans for the future. If people are planning to use you, you better have plans to use them back or you will remain the looser.

    There is nothing like Foreign Aid, the definition of aid is to provide help and support . There is no way that help and support would destroy the recipient.
    What they call foreign aid is most times is not aid at all but economic sabotage and exploitation.
    For instance giving a loan that the recipient has to pay high interest rates on those loans which they are forced to accept if they don't want to be removed .
    Then forcing the recipient to utilize the loan by hiring western firms who charge multiple times what contracts should cost, in fact the African countries are never given the money, the western countries pay the money direct to their contractors working in Africa.
    China is not trying to sabotage Africa like the West, and never claim to be giving Africa "foreign aid"

    Give a man fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish feed him for a lifetime. Give countries "aid" & high interest loans, keep them poor. Help countries refine their minerals DOMESTICALLY and give them low interst loans, rescue them from poverty. We KNOW which approach the "kind" countries have chosen.
