    Nice planer. Wish I had one like that. Sure would make it easier to make cutting boards with a PLANER like that.

    That looks lovely. Great work. I like the fact it's made from reclaimed wood. It's got real character in the grain and the oil brings it to life. Good instructional narration too. :)

    I prefer the bottom as the top though, it has a nicer texture. Personal preference

    Cute vid with your daughter. I would, however, strongly advise not using pallet wood as most pallet wood is soft wood. Almost all proper boards are made of some kind of hardwood. Holds up to wear better. Also, pallet wood is not a safe choice for food-use as many pallets are used in transportation of chemicals and such. Neat little build, otherwise.

      Thank you for letting me know. I found out the hard way..tends to stay wet but the chop board oil helps to give it a protective layer. Thanks again👍

      Not a good idea to use pallet wood! You don't know what chemicals or paints or whatever might be on the wood - it is a worry that it will not be food-safe.

      Oil was great brought out the texture of wood..at first didn't like how yellow it looked but once it settles it's perfect!

      The brand is called wood cutting board oil it is FDA approved so food safe it's a brown bottle..try amazon! Thanks for watching!

      @@custommadecrafts1271 is that different from mineral oil? Usually you use mineral oil on cutting boards.

      @@feliciagaffney1998 I dont know if it is mineral oil but definitely a type of oil. I just researched to make sure its food safe. You may look at the description on amazon to check if it is mineral oil. Thanks for watching

      I think its fine once u sand it down removing the top layer and putting a coat of food safe oil? When i think of cutting boards i just think of how our neanderthal ancestors did things before all these safety stuff came about🤣

      It takes around couple of hours depending on drying time of the wood glue. Table top planer also spends up the process.
