Brazilian states always have two letter acronyms.
When you watched that "police station" (Actually a Regional Odontology Center") you could see the state acronym RR for Roraima.
Not sure Geoguesser "implicit" rules prevent you from having a tab open with with state acronyms list.

    "looks like a police thing"
CRO - Centro Regional de Odontologia... it's written behind the bars. Regional Odontology Center.

Jardim América is definitely not an English word. America is not an English word.

like 70% of the words ending with ÇÃO in portuguese are exactly the same words in English with TION suffix.
Like ADMINISTRAÇÃO. Replace ÇÃO by TION = ADMINISTRATION

cities with LOTS of hills will hardly be in the northeast or north of the country.
They are usually in the mountain area separating Brazil's coast from the countryside.

Hey daz, that was a great vídeo. I am from Portugal and Portuguese is definitly a hard language, but sometimes the words are similar to Spanish (for example "atenção" which means atention and in Spanish is "atención". I dont know if you do speak Spanish but if you do thats helpfull to understand some Portuguese words. Have you ever been to Portugal? Maybe you could do a Portugal geoguessr video 😂.
    Great video guys!

Hello Daz, Brazilian here. Few tips if you want to do this again.
No problems with São Paulo and Rio, those you should get always, São Paulo is big with skyscrapers all around - it looks a lot like Gotham City. Rio is lots of shorter buildings, but a lot of hills and mountains - and if you just went a little further, you would see the Sugarloaf Mountain on the horizon.
Now, the other ones. Those are hard, but there are a few things that should make it easier. The amazon rainforest area (north of the country) is very flat and very low density. The northeast region (where Fortaleza is) is very dry, low hills, and you'll find smaller trees with the occasional palm tree. The south, where your friend moved, you'll see rolling hills and very few palm trees, also you'll find quite a few pine trees (but one that's a little different than what you are used to, you'll know when you see one). And the region around Brasilia is the cerrado, it's a savannah like biome, so there will be fewer trees and the vegetation has a more yellow tint - and lot's of farms, if you get the outskirts of a city.

on the first one, you should have asked the guy on the bike where he is. Atencio is attention. on the fourth one,, Goiania was in the email address of the school you first were looking at. good job tho all of you.. my wife is Brazilian, so I have gone twice, but basically stayed at her house so she could visit parents and family. Rio is like New york, city and state, so the state of Rio is large with many small cities inside it. but did go see their big football(soccer) club there, and drove up into the mountain range close to her city. beautiful country!

You guys did great. I'm from Brazil and the first one was hard even for me because is a remote area of the Country. If i play a round in England and geoguessr puts me outside of London/Liverpool/Manchester it would be hard so i can relate lol. Some great places to visit are Foz do Iguaçu where you can visit the Iguaçu Falls, the Pantanal area if you want the explore the jungle a bit and Rio/Fortaleza/Fernando de Noronha if you want to be in a beatiful coastal city. Love the channel, would be great to see some more BR geoguessr but maybe a famous places next time lol

First one was the easiest one if you attended to geography classes when you were 6 years old. RR = Roraima. Conselho Federal de Odontologia = Só pode ser na capital Boa Vista.

an easy way to find out is by looking at the phone number by its prefix, the first 2 digits will tell you what the state is.

I'm portuguese and atençao means attention. Those signs were warning people to not climb the poles. But this was very hard. You actually didn't do bad.
