i went for lfg the other day, looking for 2k players to get to 2k in the season( im a legion duelist s1/2)
found 2 guys that knew each others and played together long time
they had no achievments, no rating, no cr, nothing
i decided to start playing with them out of curiosity, they were stuck at 1300 cr
joined discord, most chill guys ive ever met, asking for tips and general advices, real chill, and i thought, u know what? fuck my rating, lets create some sinergy with this guys and try to get good together, and most important, have fun.
We now sitting at 1500 cr, no biggie its still potato level, but we are having fun and this guys are slowly imporoving in every department (calling stuff, personal skill, awarness), hopefully going up in the near future.

This is a phenomenal video and i hope this goes viral. I just linked this video to 6 of my friends and arena partners. Im a 2300 xp player this xpac and they always ask me how i got that high. Great vid! Here's another little tip that has REALLY helped me. Find a friend and duel A LOT. Duel, duel, duel and go over spells and openers. Duel them and SEE the look of the spells. The SOUND of the spells. That's my little two cents.
I Found your viewer sent videos that you commentated on the most helpful in assisting me with my healing. On top of that, by recording arena games and watching over them. i am able to find out certain mistakes that i have made and try to correct them in the future.

I started with rated 2v2 like 4 days ago currently stück at 1.1 almost reaching 1.2 in LFG I found many decent guys and chill ppl I added to friends, but also Met some people who Want to rush for that 2k and they get salty glad theres many decent folks out there who just wants to play for fun, I’m a newb but I so far really enjoy it

nice to see a youtuber who is going through the pain most of us go to...you see xaryu or baj or any other streams all playing at 2400 and up and act like its so easy but how easy would it be for them to play with none of their friends with not being able to link high xp to get into a group, im a 2k player and i knew no other 2k players and did it on my own and i still have trouble getting it not knowing alot of good players cuz my friends stopped playing watching these other guys who some are not even overly skilled act like they are so good cuz they and their friends all play with their other high rated friends lol of course its easy ur lvl 850 toon plays with ur 2800 buddy and u get 2k its a joke, so its nice to see someone actually try and put themselves in someone elses position
Hardest part of arena is finding consistent people to play with and get better with....
I'm in the same boat, friends stop playing or just dont care about PVP as much.
Nick Berkander I agree with what your saying but. Someone like xaryu could easily get 2200-2400+ with random whov never hit 2k through sheer skill. So don't just use that as an excuse, though there's a lot of Truth to it.

I didn’t know anything about these seasons but got 2k by, playing more, communication, staying calm, taking breaks when we get tired, and over time some teams just do the same things over and over again, so we changed our style accordingly and then it went well over time, played rogue for over 40 hours to get to 2k, but then took me 6 hours with WW monk. Because I had a little experience of the setups and play style.

I've got a question on the simple short term goals ("better positioning, CC enough").
How should players measure themselves in these areas if they want to improve?
Would like to see a continuation of the Arena Tips with videos like:
Positioning
When to CC
When to Interrupt
How many cooldowns do your team need to commit when you are doing a GO.
Key things to communicate
Many of my friends dislike PvP since we have 200ms latency, but I will continue to press on!

Very good tips here. I especially agree with avoid and Rage X. I played with both kind of players you mentioned. One just got so high at each match and lost cool often, so he channels his rage to tammates. The other guy was a good healer but he dislikes people giving tips, he doesn't believe he can do any better. So he takes the tips as an insult to his performance and rage quit right before we hit next achievement. So yeah, skill will grow but to play arena one must first learn to harness his temper.

tip 9 about watching smaller streamers is so fucking true. when i first came to twitch like most ppl, just watched the big guys. then started watching smaller streamers, they will answer every question you have, you can actually LEARN about gameplay directly from someone with a super high rating, opposed to watching sodapoppin (who i love btw) and having no idea why hes doing what hes doing cuz hell never see your messages.
one day in legion, I was casually doing normal arena. And had a Teammate, we started to play rated and still in bfa we play like everyday together ^^

Hey man, thanks for creating this kind of content, I'm loving your videos! I do have a question though, about the arenanet website you mentioned. Is there a way to see which comps are doing the best? For example, if I play a boomkin, I can filter by balance druid and see their individual ratings, but is there a way for me to see what comps those balance druids are playing? Thanks!
So, I understood I should keybind my arena targets, but I was curious how should I do when running bgs or WPVP? Just go back to clicking?

How do I see any team comps on Arenamate? It only shows individual players and I don't know what comp they played.

Step one level rogue or priest. Step two find the other one you didn't pick to do arena with. Step three laugh on how easy it is compared to everyone else

NO WAY to memorize like 12 classes or a total of 300 max abilities and maybe 200 pvp talent choices/variations? I literally hate people who say this. You learn to murder something by fighting as it. you learn counters by getting countered. school of hard knocks. Level literally every class to cap, it takes 2 weeks max to do so if youre a try hard who wants arena rating. learn what cds auras etc to watch for, what buffs to steal or purge and what to ignore. learn to use your offspec role etc ret heal ur team if they get hit hard or u see burst cds up. its not that fucking hard just use common sense and learn. Movement is what matters more than anything in life in this game. Learn when and where to do everything and youll do good. See a warrior spell reflect up? stop your mongoloid cast with a w key and poly yourself. he will have to rush you to stop healing. there are literally thousands of other little tricks. just open your eyes and read how not to suck by actually doing basic math yourself you don't need guides to use your head for more than a hat rack.
You do realize that blizzard has basically discouraged making friends in WoW, right? Everything is participation trophies and automatic queing. Its hard to make friends in WoW nowdays. I'm a closet WoW player and most of my rl friends play squad or other shooters etc.
