Interesting game. Love the introduction, “this is my new opening, it’s not a very good opening”. Hilarious. Nice example of how to play flexibly and develop from what you have on the board. Thanks.
The opening looks very poor and is effectively a 3 stone handicap. As you are 7d and this opponent is 2k, even this handicap is not enough. Nevertheless, the explanations about why you play moves in the order you do is extremely helpful.
Well, I have to rank up the account and start somewhere lol also ai says it’s only 8-14 points better for my opponent so not at the level of 3 stone handicap I think
To me this opening looks like a fency way of playing handicap game. Not sure thought what would it be the handicap equivalent value (number of stones). Perhaps 2 stones handicap, because your center stones still do have some value (even though corners ( he played komoku not hoshi - more teritory oriented) are more valuable than your center formation.
I think it’s probably 8-14 points better for my opponent depending on where they play. If they play star points it’s probably around 8. More territory oriented it’s probably closer to 14. So I don’t think it’s a good opening but it’s a fun one that I think looks cool lol
