A mentor of once said that when he dies he will go to heaven. When I heard that a thought came to my mind. However, a friend of mine who was there voiced out loud what I was thinking. "You can't say that because only God can make that judgement." But my mentor said, "Yes, I can say that! I have every right to say that!" He turned to 1 John 5:11-12. He said that I had to sincerely accept Jesus as my Savior with my whole heart. Then he turned to Ephesians 2:8-9. Then he said that it doesn't matter how good a person you are if you haven't accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, you won't get to heaven. That night I gave my life to Jesus. Those are my two favorite Bible passages because they helped me get my salvation.

I just returned to Christianity 8 days ago after being absent for about 15 years. I went for a walk and decided it was time to start talking to God again, when I got home I asked God to show me what I need to see and I opened to a random page of the Bible,the first thing I saw is Isaiah 1:18 “No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can remove it. I can make you as clean as freshly fallen snow” if you’re where I was at a week ago and you’ve been thinking about coming back to faith I want you to know it is never too late to give your life back to God, he still loved you even when you walked away. I am not suddenly a saint now, but I can feel God helping me win my battles and overcome the darkness I have been fighting.
I would say that the verse that has heavily impacted me during a significant period in my walk with God is Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is near to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” This verse still helps me to remember that when I feel like I have hit rock bottom emotionally, that is a time when I am closest to God. He may allow for me to feel sad for a time, but not for forever. It reminds me that I can go to Him with everything that brings me sadness and that I am not a burden to Him.

i’ve so many but i think one that has profoundly impacted me is one that is easily overlooked Psalm 23, so familiar to many, even the nonbeliever. however i recently heard a message on it that completely stopped and reset my undertaking of it. “The Lord is my shepard, I shall not want.” Unequivocally, I need nothing else, should not want anything else. ❤️🙏🏼
Psalm 91 during COVID. Tested twice, came back negative both times. One time was to get a test at local hospital for primary doctor- hospital was making it hard for me to get test, I took the test at my doctor's office. Second time- allergies. Politicians and Media didn't help during COVID: " Fear, Worry and Anxiety all weaken the immune system".

All are excellent!!! As I looked below at the comments, I see so many wondrous verses!!! God points out verses to each I feel that mean something special to us--we are all different in our personalities and strengths and weaknesses. God of course knows that and thus He gets our attention to a verse or verses that uphold us for different trials in our lives!!! Mine--2 Corinthians 1:3-7. Basically stated--what we go through helps us to help others when they go through similar things. I have been through a lot!! I am dying due to Lupus right now. Long haul of 38 yrs. These verses means so much to me and have helped me to help others in their spiritual lives and physical lives--I am a disabled RN!
My most encouraging and favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on your own understanding but acknowledge Him in all your ways and he will make your paths straight. It has helped me to lean on God thru some dark days and stay focused.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and I hope that create more like it. There are so many wonderful verses, it's tough to answer with just one, but by far, the group of verses that brings me much comfort and warmth are Num 6:24-26.

One of my daily reads is Psalm 51 as I find my self needing God to create in me a new heart. But Romans 12:12 is a comfort for times of struggle "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer."

Yup, my life just exploded and I was mad with God and had a pity party for a whole week( you would too if you was in my shoes) and then I prayed and repent for my lack of faith ,put on my armor for war (because this is spiritual) and said ok Jesus I’m READY. Thanks for this power up Pastor Parr🙏🏾👍🏾
This morning as I was beginning my morning devotion, this video popped in my feed, I felt like every word you shared is my life right now. Discouragement, the testing of my faith and a loneliness has been in this season, tears that I do not think I have ever cried so much in my lifetime. Losing hope, feeling like God is so far away...maybe he wanted me to hear these scriptures. Psalm 5:3 every morning I give him the first fruits of my day.
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. " ~Philippians 4:12-13
Brother Allen this was so encouraging to me. I’m battling a significant health challenge right now which might require me to have surgery. I’m in Bible college and all of the heady stuff means nothing when you are in the throes of crisis. I’m just reminded of the Lord’s faithfulness and presence in my life when I’m struggling daily relationally, spiritually, and emotionally. It’s as simple as placing my faith in Jesus and trusting Him with my present and future and that’s all I have the strength to do.
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. I Peter 3:15 Please continue to do posts like this! I so enjoy your insights!!

I would love more videos like this one. The verse i believe grew my faith into a mustard seed is Psalms 34:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed." I was in jail and i read that and it gave me a glimpse of hope cause I was indeed both brokenhearted and crushed in spirit." Because the truth is, our life is not ours no matter what we plan, His will shall be done either way. So it's best to stay in step with the Will of God for our lives.

All are excellent!!! As I looked below at the comments, I see so many wondrous verses!!! God points out verses to each I feel that mean something special to us--we are all different in our personalities and strengths and weaknesses. God of course knows that and thus He gets our attention to a verse or verses that uphold us for different trials in our lives!!! Mine--2 Corinthians 1:3-7. Basically stated--what we go through helps us to help others when they go through similar things. I have been through a lot!! I am dying due to Lupus right now. Long haul of 38 yrs. These verses means so much to me and have helped me to help others in their spiritual lives and physical lives--I am a disabled RN!
My most encouraging and favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on your own understanding but acknowledge Him in all your ways and he will make your paths straight. It has helped me to lean on God thru some dark days and stay focused.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and I hope that create more like it. There are so many wonderful verses, it's tough to answer with just one, but by far, the group of verses that brings me much comfort and warmth are Num 6:24-26.

Thanks for this video Brother Allen. Seems like it came right on time with the struggles I've been facing lately. One of my daily reads is Psalm 51 as I find my self needing God to create in me a new heart. But Romans 12:12 is a comfort for times of struggle "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer."
Bless you brother Allen, I love those passages out of Habakkuk and Job too; both of them have been an encouragement throughout many seasons.

Yup, my life just exploded and I was mad with God and had a pity party for a whole week( you would too if you was in my shoes) and then I prayed and repent for my lack of faith ,put on my armor for war (because this is spiritual) and said ok Jesus I’m READY. Thanks for this power up Pastor Parr🙏🏾👍🏾

This morning as I was beginning my morning devotion, this video popped in my feed, I felt like every word you shared is my life right now. Discouragement, the testing of my faith and a loneliness has been in this season, tears that I do not think I have ever cried so much in my lifetime. Losing hope, feeling like God is so far away...maybe he wanted me to hear these scriptures. Psalm 5:3 every morning I give him the first fruits of my day.
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. "
~Philippians 4:12-13
Brother Allen this was so encouraging to me. I’m battling a significant health challenge right now which might require me to have surgery. I’m in Bible college and all of the heady stuff means nothing when you are in the throes of crisis. I’m just reminded of the Lord’s faithfulness and presence in my life when I’m struggling daily relationally, spiritually, and emotionally. It’s as simple as placing my faith in Jesus and trusting Him with my present and future and that’s all I have the strength to do.
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. I Peter 3:15

I would love more videos like this one. The verse i believe grew my faith into a mustard seed is Psalms 34:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed." I was in jail and i read that and it gave me a glimpse of hope cause I was indeed both brokenhearted and crushed in spirit." Now ive been leaning into Proverbs 3:5 &6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take." Heavy on verse 6. God bless!!!

Proverbs 16:9, "A man diviseth his way but the Lord directs his steps." I found this verse when I was 16 years old and held on to it tightly over the years. Because the truth is, our life is not ours no matter what we plan, His will shall be done either way. So it's best to stay in step with the Will of God for our lives.
