Great-looking coin! I’ve had that exact concern with platinum being mistaken for silver. (But my wife has enough platinum jewelry that she’d probably be better than me at spotting it.)
I hope you thought about this... or will consider it. .. Electric vehicles use electrical energy.... At the power plant, where coal is burned.... there are.. also... CATALYTIC CONVERTERS... Much bigger than what is in your cars, obviously. As we use more electricity, it will only consolidate it to the bigger, industrial scale catalytic converters.. It's something good to know. Do not worry.
Platinum is a metal not an alloy. Not trying to be condescending just giving platinum the respect it deserves 🫡 And even if gas cars decrease in production it’s value will still rise because it is crucial in the production of hydrogen power vehicles which are gaining popularity
Nice pick up. I also pulled the trigger on an ounce of platinum and made a video about it earlier this year. Platinum's price was and has been suppressed way before COVID 19 though, so don't think that's the reason it being down relative to gold. It's been below $1K / troy OZ for the better part of the past 2 years and below $1,200 all of the past 5 years. As it relates to the automotive industry, I think you might be underestimating how quickly electric cars will become common place. We'll see but might want to check out how much EV's market share has increased over the past 2-3 years, as well as government policies on EV's, like China banning the sale of ICE cars within 5 years. Also, look at how many major companies around the world are investing in battery tech and other things related to EV development. That said, one thing I don't hear anyone talking about as it relates to platinum and the automotive industry is the fact that it is used as a catalyst in hydrogen fuel cell cars. Even if hydrogen fuel cell cars don't become the norm, there's enough demand from the US, South Korea, China, and German auto manufacturers to sustain and support the platinum price for a good while to come. And your overall point stands, the ICE automotive industry will pick up again once everything else picks up. Anyway, thanks again. Take care.
But I hear car companies are using palladium now in the catalytic converters, not platinum. With that being said, if palladium gets too expensive, they might switch back.... There are palladium maples too😉
Thank you for this video. I will NOT be buying platinum now. Covid isn't going anywhere and most major car manufacturers have already started phasing out the use of high cylinder engines and incorporating hybrid models. Platinum long term is going down.
LoL 😂 Platinum is more valuable then Gold and silver just lol , rarity don’t make it valuable. Gold and Silver is just Gold and Silver don’t compare them with something else please. Platinum have nothing to do with Gold or silver .
either your english is terrible or your're a moron - i think both. platinum has historically been more valuable than gold and silver and we ALL compare platinum with gold and silver because we are stackers, who the hell are you to say "don't compare with something else". again, you're english is terrible but you also sound like a dumb idiot - go back and try again newbie.
All 3 are Great 🔗💸🏆📚
Beautiful coins! I picked up a 1oz gold and a few silver Maples last year too.
Is it me... or does platinum have this darker shade than silver's blast white?!
def more dull/less shiny
yes its a darker grey. Most platinum jewelry will have a rhodium plating
I honestly don’t understand why silver is still considered a precious metal it’s so cheap lol
Gold, Platinum, etc etc were all cheap once. Just needs time

Good show, thank you. It is super easy to sell your platinum, if not I will buy it, problem solved.

Don't need gloves for platinum, I've been handling my pt coins bare handed for years it doesn't tarnish.
Is platinum an alloy or a metal?

Thanks for the clarity. You're right platinum has been playing catchup long before COVID. I'm gonna check out your channel now.
Plat is the unpopular metal, I think it will catch up to gold in 2023
Who doesnt like platinum especially at their prices.

I would love a palladium maple but their too expensive these days. My dream tho is to get a rhodium bar!
#platinum is amazing 🔗🛥🎅🍉👍📚...🎅✅👍😊💸
