So one thing about the shoes, while the shoes are supposed to keep her feet from twisting around, it also reminded me of when as kids we studied Rabindranath Thakur's family dynamics. It was mentioned in those days for women, particularly Bengali noble women, wearing shoes were seen as "bibiyani" - trying to be a memsahib/white. Because while in reality white women didn't really have it good in Victorian England, the ones that could travel to India were the more educated or even privileged white women with some degree of freedom. Wearing shoes for women were seen as trying to be free, which obviously was interpreted as a bad thing as such women would be harder to control. The Thakur family had tried to break that a few times. Bulbbul as we see doesn't wear shoes initially although her more "sophisticated" husband tries to get her to. But later she does and on her own too, symbolising she has changed.
So Binodini manipulated Indranil . People were saying that men caused women like Bulbbul to turn into a demon. But it was a woman who was responsible for turning a man bad .

Only person who walks without any slap are Dr. Sudhir ( smart fellow for friendzoning the girl 😂😂 ) And possibly all mahendra also may be slap free due to mental condition.
Traditional Indian attires are the best to bring out the beauty in male and female of India. Just look at her! She looks like a lioness! Such an eloquent example of how prejudice can manifest in the form of "care." Satya just assumes he's being the hero/gentleman when he seizes authority over the household. Binodini says she's concerned that Bulbbul looks "exhausted," when a lot of us viewers would say she looks relaxed and fabulous. I hope this film is available over here in Germany.
haha completely, the problem Binodini had with Bulbbul was that Bulbbul was too comfortable being the one in charge relaxed and fabulous.
Rabindranath Tagore was youngest among his 14 siblings, his elder brother Jyotridrinath Tagore married a girl Kadambri Devi who was younger than her husband, she was 10 year old girl and nearly same age as Rabindranath Tagore. They were best friends since childhood and husband of Kadambari Devi arranged for her to be well educated but after 4 months of marriage of Rabindranath Tagore, Kadambri Devi committed suicide at age 26 for reason never revealed by Tagore family. Rabindranath Tagore was really heartbroken and wrote many songs and poem in her memory.
And one more thing to mention at last Rabindranath Tagore also studied law from London just like it was shown in movie!

👏👏👏
