No, there’s a little plastic collar that you don’t use. You need the spring, if you want to KEEP your leads, use the plastic collar. Weedy/ snaggy lakes = LOSE your lead on the take.
I've bought 2 of these kits recently and there''s no way in a million years that small piece of silicone goes over the dark matter tubing. Tried everything.
@@AnglingDirectTV Hi, I’ve been to the new Angling Direct at Stockton. I spoke to the manager and he opened a pack of heli safes with me there. He too says there’s no way that silicone goes over Dark Matter tubing. Another lad who was there who I know told me you can get it over using hot soapy water. I like the look of this set up so I took the plunge and bought another set. Big mistake. Even when you get the dark matter tubing through by a couple of mm it will not budge any further. This is not a dig at Angling Direct…I have had nothing but great service from them. But the fact is that is a very misleading video. Your own manager even says there’s a design flaw there. You shouldn’t have to try and spend half an hour trying to thread through a small piece of silicone onto a bit of tubing. Now to try and find another kind of heli set up!!
Same issue it's very difficult tubing keeps breaking and when it is on I dare adjust the silicone tubing and bead as it may break on the bank and I have to do a complete rod set up.
£6.75 for 2 Heli safes in A Direct. £5 for 2 Tubing adaptors. At least £6 for a pack of Dark Matter Tubing. That’s roughly £15 for 2 leaders?????? Who are the mugs here??
Korda QC Ring Swivel size 11 and Korda Dark Matter Tungsten Anti Tangle Sleeves???
Does the lead always fall off after catching a fish ? Or can u set it up so it doesn’t fall off ?
When setting up do not use the spring and the lead will stay attached but not recommended for carp care x

Going to try that 👌

Hi Ace, might be worth taking the kit into one of our stores to double check it isn't faulty?
@@AnglingDirectTV Thanks…I’ll try my local store and try another one out there

But they will literally last forever….
@@carldyke76they don’t lol the metal threading inside the leader always breaks and sticks out making it useless.
Where are you seeing the metal in the leaders? It’s a tubing kit heli safe
