Hello, Thanks this helps. I have seen some videos where clay pot is used on induction or electric coil stove. I am now confused whether to buy or not as i have electric coil stovetop. Please advise.

I don't think it's a good idea to use it on a electric coil stove. Buy a small camp butane or propane stove.

My just came from kerala with a clay pot. She keep rice water(kanji vellum) for two days, after she clean the pot and cook fish curry she sautéed onion curry leave then she heard a big noise ( small explosion) the pot is drove into small pieces the glass of the range(glass top range) into small pieces.the onion curry leaves stick in the ceiling.any body can explain what happened

It didn’t soak longer . It has to soak over night

You should not cook the first time . You have to bake it forst

you should never cook clay pots in glass top range. you will see in the video even though i have a glass top i will use a gas stove.
