As far as am aware of, the only ever meme featuring Astel to make it onto Meme Review was mine as linked in the video and description, but it really showed that Astel and the rest of Holostars needed more support as I remember in the meme review episode, when Astel and Roberu appeared while of course there was many voices of joy and support, there also were some of indifference or outright anti-Holostar sentiment coming up on the comments. This was the core reason preventing Holostar and many Holo-JP from communicating. Nevertheless, all thanks goes to Coco who brought in such overwhelming oversea interests, leading to many of us to discover Holostar as a result. I myself would not have made that meme featuring Astel and Roberu if I had not grown to also care for them thanks to Coco.
its the whole "im not into guys" i see from the EN side tbh, but honestly if a content creator is entertaining, then thats all that should matter. I also think that the reason for holostars not getting enough attention on the global community is the lack of clippers. As much as i want to get into them, not many are translated, thus making it harder to access, I have no qualms about liking male vtubers and i bet so do others given how successful some are on the other side of the fence, like nijisanji's kanae and kuzuha.
@@mendics Yeah for some reason the EN side has this assumption that Holostars only has majority female fans and "why would a guy watch another guy" which is honestly almost as bad. There's also this opinion I've seen about the guys not working hard and are leeching off the girls, which is just as screwed up. The part about clippers though, there's actually alot but it's hard to find them. Ive seen alot that's just a bit over 100 views with no comments. The more popular clips tend to be from those who also makes clips from Hololive streams as well, so that says alot about the algorithm.
It’s genuinely so sad to see him think that because he was so much smaller than her his feelings wouldn’t reach her. Coco knew. She definitely did. I guarantee that regardless of size or popularity Coco knew everyone’s feelings and wanted to collaborate with everyone in Hololive. It’s just the kind of person she was. His issue might've been that he's thinking there could be a backlash. I don't know if he was going to publicly do it or privately, and I can say I don't understand why a private DM telling her how he felt would be a hurdle, but he could be traumatized by the antis. A lot of people HATE the idea of Hololive and Holostars communicating. Simply because it can end up in a relationship. Though at least Hololive ID's fans are open to Holostars, what with Ollie and Astel. It's understandable if it's trauma because people showing so much hate for Hololive and Holostars getting friendly means that he could get death threats and doxxed and he'd have to watch out for his back if he ever tried to cross that line. He's probably thinking if he were bigger, it'd mean he's more influential and a lot of people would support him; therefore less issues.

Even if she wasn't your Oshi, you were still a destroyed mess. Coco leaving Hololive hit EVERYONE, not just her own fans. Even if you weren't really too into her, it's hard to deny that she has done way too much for anyone to pretend like it wasn't a tragic blow to Hololive as a whole. Like I barely watched Coco, but the Watame did nothing wrong meme is what got me into Hololive. Watame's smug face at the end of that just had me in tears from laughing for some reason. It's impossible to deny her existence being anything but positive for Hololive.

I'm definitely a hako-oshi, so I'm all over the place insofar as Hololive/Stars goes, and I was crying basically nonstop from her final unarchived karaoke stream to around 4 AM the next morning when Watame closed down her post-grad stream. If anything, being a hako-oshi gave me MORE things to cry about because not only was I losing Coco, I got to drown in the impact it was having on everyone else: The 4th gen goes without saying, and of course her roommate Suisei, but we had tears and kind words from EVERYONE, from Korone talking about feeling powerless to protect her, to Fubuki feeling lost about where to go from here, to Okayu staring at the black screen after the live until her battery ran out and just crying, to Matsuri declaring that if Coco wasn't happy and successful she'd drag her back to Holo, to Choco-sensei's desperate search for a solution to the problem... so much came out of this whole event, and while I wish we still had Kaichou, I'm at least grateful that, as Sora put it, we got a chance to have a proper good-bye and just enough time to make some last wonderful memories together, as well as a chance to see so much of our other friends.

The idol fans treat them like that. That's why it's actually the girls initiative whether they want to treat themselves pure or not, you could be like Matsuri and Fubuki who doesnt mind collabbing with the opposite Gender, or like Rushia who try to ignore Tenma's schedule on stream because she thought that her fans might be uncomfortable that Rushia being with a male.

The last part really encapsulates what I was feeling. The content she released 1 month before her graduation was crazy good. It really looked like Coco went all out with no regrets. I'm really hoping that Hololive ID and EN can help to break down the walls between Hololive and Holostars. This idol culture mindset of "I don't want some guy talking to my waifu" is really some nonsense. They should have been at Coco's graduation just like all the other holomems. Seeing their streams it's obvious they wanted their chance to say goodbye just like everyone else. These guys work really hard, they deserve support and recognition from fans, talents, and cover corp. alike. I want to see more colabs between everyone. I want this to be the supportive community we all say we want it to be. Bros support bros.
To be honest I think the barriers between Hololive and Holostars has been crossed many times, but not as many times to make it an usual thing. The biggest clips of them collabing that I have seen would have mostly Matsuri, Fubuki or the ID girls, in collabs on games, like the amongus with Holostars+ID, or the multiple song cover collabs. To be honest once kaichou would have brought every Hololive member to meme review it would have been the obvious next step to bring the boys to the show too, sadly that chance is gone. Maybe other members will want to collab with them in games or some weird stream where they all do something dumb and fun that encourages more collabs. If I had to choose one to try and make it possible it would maybe be Subaru, since she has the guts to do weird stuff that is also fun could make it, since she was one of the first ones to collab with a male and even more rare with a male of another company (aka the legendary Subaru-Maimoto collab). Or maybe a collab with Towa or Botan, since they both like fps, they could collab with Astel and other members on Apex. My point is, they need to find a kind of stream that both streamers like and is fun to do and to watch probably.
@@leandrogoslean889 I'm not saying it's like the early days when they were expressly forbidden from collaborating with each other. However, the current divide between Hololive and Holostars was obvious when they were excluded from the graduation. As they are all suppose to be part of the same organization I think it was unacceptable not to include them in such a huge moment in Hololive history. There have been some good collabs but it is obvious from this event that they are far from completely accepted. I know the Holostars feel reluctant to ask Hololive members to collaborate, they have said so themselves. I think with Hololive EN's explosive success that they could go a long way towards helping Holostars become more accepted and mainstream in the organization. As for content, they all sing, they all play games, and some of them are getting pretty good at English. I don't think finding common ground is all that difficult to do. I could see them as a great addition to one of Calliope's World of Darkness tabletop RPG sessions. I agree with you that the important thing is to include them in anything they feel comfortable collaborating in, with anyone who wants to work with them.

@@cheemslord9917 I think that may be the only sure-fire option. Cover is nervous about alienating the fanbase. Remember that Hololive's popularity has dramatically increased in a very short amount of time. As a company Cover doesn't have a lot of experience pleasing this many fans, so they are being very cautious. Everything that has happened around Coco's graduation has only increased this caution. On the other hand recent collabs with VOMS project, VShojo, and Nijisanji has shown that Cover is even open to cross-company collaboration. Hololive and Holostars were merged in 2019 and there is no real reason they can't cooperate fully. In the end the only ones who can tell Cover and all of Hololive that this type of collaboration is ok is the fans. We have to let Hololive know that we want this to happen and they will respond in kind.
Coco indirectly helped the HoloStars grow much more than what was expected from them and I am thankful for it. Astel is a man that can cry when needed and not bottle it up inside.

I started watching Hololive with EN, so I didn't get to see much of Coco. But watching her last streams before her graduation and seeing all the support from fans, hololive members and other vtubers, is really overwhelming. You can really tell her how much she meant for so many people and she made sure to go out with a bang.

I think it's great that HoloID interacts with them so much, and I hope they continue with that. Holostars are great and are all super entertaining and talented people who deserve WAY more subs than they have. On the EN side Calli has already collabed with Rikka a few times, and those were super awesome collabs! I'd love to see more from them. On the JP side though... I'm pretty sure it's just Fubuki and Matsuri that are pushing back against this sort of 'traditional idol culture' and I really respect them for that. I wish more HoloJP would pick up that attitude. Bottom line is: They just need more eyeballs on their content, which is why Astel was so grateful to be featured in Meme Review. More frequent interaction between the branches or even just mentioning the boys from time to time would go a long way to help out.

Kaichou is the kind of person who recognizes hard work, who knows when someone has been busting their back to make it. Regardless of their public renown or sub count, Coco recognizes the effort put in. She truly wanted to collab with holostars and help them make all this hard work pay off. That is what I believe.
It's moments like these that I really wish the members of Holostars had a bigger fanbase. They all work as hard as the girls and they are really nice and wholesome people. I'm glad HoloID does streams with them and I hope they do more in the future because they really deserve the love.

I do understand for the more shy members, like Ayame, Pekora and Aqua, that interacting with someone of the opposite gender can be hard. But I have huge respect for those like Fubuki, Ollie and Calli, who just say "fuck it" and collab with them anyway. It would be nice if more of the girls gave the message that they're up to collab with Holostars, but it's ultimately their choice. It must be hard being in the smaller group AND feeling restricted in who you can talk to

All I knew from Astel so far was from what I had seen with his collab with Ollie. But it's understandable that the Holostar members would also be saddened by what occurred with Coco. Absolutely nobody wanted to see Coco leave and I have seen a couple of holomembers fighting back tears, like Botan, Watame and poor Suisei (who had a singing stream planned on the same day as Coco's graduation). I don't know Astel that well and nothing about the other Holoboys, but I can respect messages like this where they wish all the best to their fellow members.
One thing that I respect a lot about Nijisanji and VShoujo's management and community is that they don't have any problems letting the girls interact with the boys. We've been starting to see a change with Hololive ID and EN, so hopefully it isn't too long before JP can normalize these interactions.
Hololive & Holostars are allowed to interact with each other. It's just that basically none of them reach out to each other, which doesn't surprise me that much with how a lot of the girls are kinda shy and/or socially awkward. I also think they don't need to collab if they don't want to
Astel has already stated that there are no rules forbidding Hololive and Holostars from collaborating with each other. It's just that the talents are rather shy and introverted and are afraid to interact with each other. There's also the "idol culture" in Japan where one gender is forbidden to interact with the other, and this discourages the collabs. They don't collab with each other not because they can't but because they want to protect each other from the backlash that may occur. There are exceptions like Fubuki and Matsuri doing whatever they want, and then you have Miko who absolutely will not interact with any male talents not because she dislikes them but because she wants to maintain the "idol image". Same goes for Pekora, Flare, and Noel. They do not dislike them, but they don't want to collab with them to avoid the backlash. Also, Flare and Noel are from all-girls schools and don't know how to talk to boys at all, so trying to force them to collab with the stars is going to be uncomfortable for both parties. Izuru also has his own rule that he does not want to interact with any female talents whatsoever due to his past trauma with girls, and he does not want to deal with any of the drama. If the collabs were forced the streams would end up like the Suisei x Aqua collab where one will do all the talking and the other will hesitantly stutter and barely say anything, and that will be hard to watch for everyone. I'm all for the Holostars collaborating with the girls, but the collabs should not be forced by any means. Let them settle and allow them to slowly get along with one another. When the talents are ready, then they can collab.

from Miyabi's long clip, I learned that since facing so many antis at the beginning, Holostars become very cautious and tend to overthink. That is why they are always waiting to be reached out by Holotalents instead of pro-actively tried to reach them first. Most holotalents don't mind to interact with them, especially Coco since she is not from traditional idol culture. I hope the boys will gain more and more confident, all get 3Ds, and try to build bridges to collab more with Hololive. Just selected few girls but more often like they did with ID girls. Calling on their totsumachi also sounds nice. If I'm not wrong, only Aruran that managed to interact with Kaichou regarding his memes stream.
It would be nice if there were more extroverted Japanese speakers in the second round of EN. Calli isn't a huge gamer but shes done some great musical stuff with Rikka, and Ame seems to like a few of Holostars. Kiara isn't an introvert when it comes to collabs but she seems really reluctant to interact with boys. Gura still slowly working up to collabing outside of EN, and I just don't see it with Ina. Does anyone in Stars draw a lot mabye? The only EN-Holostars collab I can really see happening outside of Calli is Ollie dragging Ame into APEX trios.

I think most of us felt like Astel. I main Fall Guys and Super Bomberman R Online, but I barely managed to play even 10 short rounds yesterday, after not playing since Monday, and it's not even that "work" was stopping me anyway - I just couldn't.
How I first got to know Astel was when he commented live on Ame's chat. I was wondering who is this with the moderator mark on his message. I searched his name afterwards, and find out that he is from the Holostars. Then after I get to know all of the Holostars members, and later I subscribed to all of them for support. Seeing them having really low subscribers was really unbearable to watch, even now. Though they are getting better day by day. So yeah, Astel if you are reading this I recognized you and all the members. They all have amazing talents, and they always do their best.
hololive is really unique, as a company you have this tokino sora who is the first idol and first hololive member yet still unable to reach 1M and her design stay the same while other new member get new design very frequently
I wish Holostars would have more chances to interact with Hololive girls. As far as I know, only HoloIDs are freely collabing and interacting with the boys. While in HoloJP only FBK and Matsuri, and Calli for HoloEN.
Choco has collabed with the Stars a few times too and Roboco also had some interactions (namely a cover with Rikka and a call during a call-in stream). And while not a lot Towa also had some interactions, though not really on stream (she asked Astel to sing a song during one of his unarchived karaoke streams and also thanked him when he tweeted about her performance during Bloom,) She has also mentioned Izuru & Rikka during one of her streams.
Suisei might be able to break the ice soon to have an official collab with one of the Holostars. Rikka was doing a Tetris 99 stream. He was eliminated early and waited for the game to finish. As he read the names, a familiar one popped up. "Hoshimachi Suisei?" He thought it was just an imitation account...until Suisei herself popped into his chat stating that she lost. Suisei and Roberu along with Yuuki Ono and Tadokoro Azusa also had the radio talk show collab recently, and based on what I've heard about it, they got along pretty well. Suisei dislikes being called senpai, but Roberu kept calling her that, so Suisei got to get a little sassy with him calling him Kouhai. I didn't watch the radio show myself, but that's what I've heard about it.
I apologize if I missed something and this comment is based on a foundation that’s wrong... but it’s too bad that COVER didn’t let HoloStars be a part of Coco’s graduation officially as well. Just having Coco host a brief HoloStars panel like she did for each gen of HoloLive would have been nice... it wouldn’t need to have been drawn out or anything. Looking at the HoloLive ID panel, it was obvious that Coco barely had any contact with many of their members... so their comments to Coco tended to be like admiration from afar. HoloStars sharing some of their experiences with Coco would have been pretty impactful like that. Even if they didn’t directly collaborate or anything, things like Coco taking the time to watch and comment on their streams or being supportive of them behind the scenes would have been incredible to hear about... it would have emphasized even more the theme about how Coco was helping and inspiring everyone under the HoloLive banner, and from a strictly business standpoint it would have given a HUGE boost in exposure to the HoloStars branch~! In retrospect, that really would have been nice to see... thanks for taking the time to clip and translate some of the HoloStars’ reaction to Coco’s graduation. It really reflects positively on all of them, and hopefully will help bring a little more of the overseas fan base to give the HoloStars support as well.
Blame idol culture. It rly sucks. I wanted Holostars to appear too. Cover rly did a bad job with Holostars and im hoping whatever coco decides to do, now without restrictions can at least boost Holostars
-Cover didn't restrict anything- *. among HololiveJP Fubuki, Matsuri and Sora interacted with Holostar before. it's up to the individual talent to decide, although it is influenced by fans not wanting it. Fubuki get dislike bomb when collab with Oga for example, Noel said she think her fan wouldn't like it. and it's not even idol culture, Nijisanji vtubers are not advertised as idol but some still get the same reaction from fans. *edit: they did have restriction in the past but lifted since September 2019
I agree with the comment made by Huong Le van, we can't force relations among the talents. The comments you see alot talking about Holostars and Hololive to collab are just part of the loud minority, the talents themselves are smart enough to know what kind of risks are brought upon when these kinds of stuff happens, whether they want to happen or not is part of the talent's decision not the fans. I have no intentions to bash people wanting to collab, I really would want that too but in the end it is the talent's decision.

This must be a Japanese thing, but I don't get his mindset on this one. He would not have needed more people and more numbers to be able to send a message to Coco, it doesn't matter that his numbers are small by comparison if he simply wanted to give her a message of heartfelt thanks.
I think it's both a Japanese thing and a Holostars thing. The boys were flamed a lot during the beginning days, and during Astel's gen debut (Astel, Temma, and Roberu), they were flamed hard online because it coincided with the merging of Holostars into Hololive and INNK becoming Hololive Production, where many antis accused them off leeching off the girls. Some like Roberu and Astel swore to get bigger with minimal help from the girls to prove the antis wrong. Basically, they won't refuse a collab if the girls ask for a collab, but the boys won't actively seek it either.

Astel is quite shy, and has occasionally expressed some issues with self-worth. He didn't even really interact with ID until Ollie came along and made the first move. People place too much blame on the whole idol culture thing. It's a factor, but it's hardly the only factor involved in all this.

Idol culture is sooooo weird : /. What's the point of having Holostar if they keep it hidden and locked? Are they waiting for them to go away discretely? I've heard that's what some JPN companies sometimes do instead of firing. I'm quite the recent fan, I came when Aloe graduated, it took me 2 months to discover that Holostar even existed. No events, no Hologra, nothing. It's like they're independent.
well they are getting 3D models this year, except Rikka & Roberu who already have them, and are gonna have a Live in December. And with all the collabs they have they don't really feel "hidden and locked" to me

Just for the record, Cover mostly prohibits interaction between Hololive and Holostar and men in general. Only a few like Matsuri and Fubuki are allowed to interact with them because they can control their fanbase. But there was this one time one of Nijisanji's male vtubers mentioned Suisei and dude got harassed for months because of it. That's why most of HoloJp pretend to be lesbian or not care about men at all.

As far as am aware of, the only ever meme featuring Astel to make it onto Meme Review was mine as linked in the video and description, but it really showed that Astel and the rest of Holostars needed more support as I remember in the meme review episode, when Astel and Roberu appeared while of course there was many voices of joy and support, there also were some of indifference or outright anti-Holostar sentiment coming up on the comments. This was the core reason preventing Holostar and many Holo-JP from communicating.
Nevertheless, all thanks goes to Coco who brought in such overwhelming oversea interests, leading to many of us to discover Holostar as a result. I myself would not have made that meme featuring Astel and Roberu if I had not grown to also care for them thanks to Coco.

its the whole "im not into guys" i see from the EN side tbh, but honestly if a content creator is entertaining, then thats all that should matter. I also think that the reason for holostars not getting enough attention on the global community is the lack of clippers. As much as i want to get into them, not many are translated, thus making it harder to access, I have no qualms about liking male vtubers and i bet so do others given how successful some are on the other side of the fence, like nijisanji's kanae and kuzuha.
@@mendics Yeah for some reason the EN side has this assumption that Holostars only has majority female fans and "why would a guy watch another guy" which is honestly almost as bad. There's also this opinion I've seen about the guys not working hard and are leeching off the girls, which is just as screwed up.
The part about clippers though, there's actually alot but it's hard to find them. Ive seen alot that's just a bit over 100 views with no comments. The more popular clips tend to be from those who also makes clips from Hololive streams as well, so that says alot about the algorithm.

His issue might've been that he's thinking there could be a backlash. I don't know if he was going to publicly do it or privately, and I can say I don't understand why a private DM telling her how he felt would be a hurdle, but he could be traumatized by the antis. A lot of people HATE the idea of Hololive and Holostars communicating. Simply because it can end up in a relationship. Though at least Hololive ID's fans are open to Holostars, what with Ollie and Astel.
It's understandable if it's trauma because people showing so much hate for Hololive and Holostars getting friendly means that he could get death threats and doxxed and he'd have to watch out for his back if he ever tried to cross that line. He's probably thinking if he were bigger, it'd mean he's more influential and a lot of people would support him; therefore less issues.

Even if she wasn't your Oshi, you were still a destroyed mess. Coco leaving Hololive hit EVERYONE, not just her own fans. Even if you weren't really too into her, it's hard to deny that she has done way too much for anyone to pretend like it wasn't a tragic blow to Hololive as a whole. Like I barely watched Coco, but the Watame did nothing wrong meme is what got me into Hololive. Watame's smug face at the end of that just had me in tears from laughing for some reason. It's impossible to deny her existence being anything but positive for Hololive.

I'm definitely a hako-oshi, so I'm all over the place insofar as Hololive/Stars goes, and I was crying basically nonstop from her final unarchived karaoke stream to around 4 AM the next morning when Watame closed down her post-grad stream. If anything, being a hako-oshi gave me MORE things to cry about because not only was I losing Coco, I got to drown in the impact it was having on everyone else: The 4th gen goes without saying, and of course her roommate Suisei, but we had tears and kind words from EVERYONE, from Korone talking about feeling powerless to protect her, to Fubuki feeling lost about where to go from here, to Okayu staring at the black screen after the live until her battery ran out and just crying, to Matsuri declaring that if Coco wasn't happy and successful she'd drag her back to Holo, to Choco-sensei's desperate search for a solution to the problem... so much came out of this whole event, and while I wish we still had Kaichou, I'm at least grateful that, as Sora put it, we got a chance to have a proper good-bye and just enough time to make some last wonderful memories together, as well as a chance to see so much of our other friends.

I'm really hoping that Hololive ID and EN can help to break down the walls between Hololive and Holostars. This idol culture mindset of "I don't want some guy talking to my waifu" is really some nonsense. They should have been at Coco's graduation just like all the other holomems. Seeing their streams it's obvious they wanted their chance to say goodbye just like everyone else. These guys work really hard, they deserve support and recognition from fans, talents, and cover corp. alike. I want to see more colabs between everyone. I want this to be the supportive community we all say we want it to be. Bros support bros.
To be honest I think the barriers between Hololive and Holostars has been crossed many times, but not as many times to make it an usual thing. The biggest clips of them collabing that I have seen would have mostly Matsuri, Fubuki or the ID girls, in collabs on games, like the amongus with Holostars+ID, or the multiple song cover collabs. To be honest once kaichou would have brought every Hololive member to meme review it would have been the obvious next step to bring the boys to the show too, sadly that chance is gone.
Maybe other members will want to collab with them in games or some weird stream where they all do something dumb and fun that encourages more collabs.
If I had to choose one to try and make it possible it would maybe be Subaru, since she has the guts to do weird stuff that is also fun could make it, since she was one of the first ones to collab with a male and even more rare with a male of another company (aka the legendary Subaru-Maimoto collab).
Or maybe a collab with Towa or Botan, since they both like fps, they could collab with Astel and other members on Apex.
My point is, they need to find a kind of stream that both streamers like and is fun to do and to watch probably.
@@leandrogoslean889 I'm not saying it's like the early days when they were expressly forbidden from collaborating with each other. However, the current divide between Hololive and Holostars was obvious when they were excluded from the graduation. As they are all suppose to be part of the same organization I think it was unacceptable not to include them in such a huge moment in Hololive history. There have been some good collabs but it is obvious from this event that they are far from completely accepted. I know the Holostars feel reluctant to ask Hololive members to collaborate, they have said so themselves. I think with Hololive EN's explosive success that they could go a long way towards helping Holostars become more accepted and mainstream in the organization. As for content, they all sing, they all play games, and some of them are getting pretty good at English. I don't think finding common ground is all that difficult to do. I could see them as a great addition to one of Calliope's World of Darkness tabletop RPG sessions. I agree with you that the important thing is to include them in anything they feel comfortable collaborating in, with anyone who wants to work with them.

@@cheemslord9917 I think that may be the only sure-fire option. Cover is nervous about alienating the fanbase. Remember that Hololive's popularity has dramatically increased in a very short amount of time. As a company Cover doesn't have a lot of experience pleasing this many fans, so they are being very cautious. Everything that has happened around Coco's graduation has only increased this caution. On the other hand recent collabs with VOMS project, VShojo, and Nijisanji has shown that Cover is even open to cross-company collaboration. Hololive and Holostars were merged in 2019 and there is no real reason they can't cooperate fully. In the end the only ones who can tell Cover and all of Hololive that this type of collaboration is ok is the fans. We have to let Hololive know that we want this to happen and they will respond in kind.

I think it's great that HoloID interacts with them so much, and I hope they continue with that. Holostars are great and are all super entertaining and talented people who deserve WAY more subs than they have. On the EN side Calli has already collabed with Rikka a few times, and those were super awesome collabs! I'd love to see more from them. On the JP side though... I'm pretty sure it's just Fubuki and Matsuri that are pushing back against this sort of 'traditional idol culture' and I really respect them for that. I wish more HoloJP would pick up that attitude.
Bottom line is: They just need more eyeballs on their content, which is why Astel was so grateful to be featured in Meme Review. More frequent interaction between the branches or even just mentioning the boys from time to time would go a long way to help out.

Kaichou is the kind of person who recognizes hard work, who knows when someone has been busting their back to make it. Regardless of their public renown or sub count, Coco recognizes the effort put in. She truly wanted to collab with holostars and help them make all this hard work pay off. That is what I believe.
It's moments like these that I really wish the members of Holostars had a bigger fanbase. They all work as hard as the girls and they are really nice and wholesome people. I'm glad HoloID does streams with them and I hope they do more in the future because they really deserve the love.

All I knew from Astel so far was from what I had seen with his collab with Ollie.
But it's understandable that the Holostar members would also be saddened by what occurred with Coco. Absolutely nobody wanted to see Coco leave and I have seen a couple of holomembers fighting back tears, like Botan, Watame and poor Suisei (who had a singing stream planned on the same day as Coco's graduation).
I don't know Astel that well and nothing about the other Holoboys, but I can respect messages like this where they wish all the best to their fellow members.
One thing that I respect a lot about Nijisanji and VShoujo's management and community is that they don't have any problems letting the girls interact with the boys.
We've been starting to see a change with Hololive ID and EN, so hopefully it isn't too long before JP can normalize these interactions.
Hololive & Holostars are allowed to interact with each other. It's just that basically none of them reach out to each other, which doesn't surprise me that much with how a lot of the girls are kinda shy and/or socially awkward.

Astel has already stated that there are no rules forbidding Hololive and Holostars from collaborating with each other. It's just that the talents are rather shy and introverted and are afraid to interact with each other. There's also the "idol culture" in Japan where one gender is forbidden to interact with the other, and this discourages the collabs. They don't collab with each other not because they can't but because they want to protect each other from the backlash that may occur. There are exceptions like Fubuki and Matsuri doing whatever they want, and then you have Miko who absolutely will not interact with any male talents not because she dislikes them but because she wants to maintain the "idol image". Same goes for Pekora, Flare, and Noel. They do not dislike them, but they don't want to collab with them to avoid the backlash. Also, Flare and Noel are from all-girls schools and don't know how to talk to boys at all, so trying to force them to collab with the stars is going to be uncomfortable for both parties. Izuru also has his own rule that he does not want to interact with any female talents whatsoever due to his past trauma with girls, and he does not want to deal with any of the drama. If the collabs were forced the streams would end up like the Suisei x Aqua collab where one will do all the talking and the other will hesitantly stutter and barely say anything, and that will be hard to watch for everyone.
I'm all for the Holostars collaborating with the girls, but the collabs should not be forced by any means. Let them settle and allow them to slowly get along with one another. When the talents are ready, then they can collab.

from Miyabi's long clip, I learned that since facing so many antis at the beginning, Holostars become very cautious and tend to overthink. That is why they are always waiting to be reached out by Holotalents instead of pro-actively tried to reach them first.
Most holotalents don't mind to interact with them, especially Coco since she is not from traditional idol culture. I hope the boys will gain more and more confident, all get 3Ds, and try to build bridges to collab more with Hololive. Just selected few girls but more often like they did with ID girls. Calling on their totsumachi also sounds nice.
If I'm not wrong, only Aruran that managed to interact with Kaichou regarding his memes stream.

Everyone in the comments already said what i wanted to say i just wanna add that hopefully Coco got to see this video or his message.. we dont want to see her reaction i just want for his mesage to reach her.. honestly im not a fan of hololive but im here to support them all because i love holostars. when she graduated me and my friends were crying during her last stream the thought that broke me even more is she wasn't able to collab with Holostars it would've been fun and memorable to everyone.. i really hope this will be a lesson to everyone that we take every opportunity to can get since time is short... Adding to this im also aware with how some JP fans or fans see collabing with opposite gender is problematic for them but man imagine the content and memories theyre gonna get.. theyre brothers and sisters they deserve to get all the love and support :(( even just a Summer festival again but with Holostars in minecraft thats enough for me
I think most of us felt like Astel. I main Fall Guys and Super Bomberman R Online, but I barely managed to play even 10 short rounds yesterday, after not playing since Monday, and it's not even that "work" was stopping me anyway - I just couldn't.
How I first got to know Astel was when he commented live on Ame's chat. I was wondering who is this with the moderator mark on his message. I searched his name afterwards, and find out that he is from the Holostars. Then after I get to know all of the Holostars members, and later I subscribed to all of them for support. Seeing them having really low subscribers was really unbearable to watch, even now. Though they are getting better day by day. So yeah, Astel if you are reading this I recognized you and all the members. They all have amazing talents, and they always do their best.
hololive is really unique, as a company you have this tokino sora who is the first idol and first hololive member yet still unable to reach 1M and her design stay the same while other new member get new design very frequently

I wish Holostars would have more chances to interact with Hololive girls.
As far as I know, only HoloIDs are freely collabing and interacting with the boys. While in HoloJP only FBK and Matsuri, and Calli for HoloEN.
Choco has collabed with the Stars a few times too and Roboco also had some interactions (namely a cover with Rikka and a call during a call-in stream).
And while not a lot Towa also had some interactions, though not really on stream (she asked Astel to sing a song during one of his unarchived karaoke streams and also thanked him when he tweeted about her performance during Bloom,)
She has also mentioned Izuru & Rikka during one of her streams.
Suisei might be able to break the ice soon to have an official collab with one of the Holostars.
Rikka was doing a Tetris 99 stream. He was eliminated early and waited for the game to finish. As he read the names, a familiar one popped up. "Hoshimachi Suisei?" Speaking of Rikka, he and AZKi had a little concert a few months ago...
Suisei and Roberu along with Yuuki Ono and Tadokoro Azusa also had the radio talk show collab recently, and based on what I've heard about it, they got along pretty well. Suisei dislikes being called senpai, but Roberu kept calling her that, so Suisei got to get a little sassy with him calling him Kouhai. I didn't watch the radio show myself, but that's what I've heard about it.

I apologize if I missed something and this comment is based on a foundation that’s wrong... but it’s too bad that COVER didn’t let HoloStars be a part of Coco’s graduation officially as well. Just having Coco host a brief HoloStars panel like she did for each gen of HoloLive would have been nice... it wouldn’t need to have been drawn out or anything. Looking at the HoloLive ID panel, it was obvious that Coco barely had any contact with many of their members... so their comments to Coco tended to be like admiration from afar.
HoloStars sharing some of their experiences with Coco would have been pretty impactful like that. Even if they didn’t directly collaborate or anything, things like Coco taking the time to watch and comment on their streams or being supportive of them behind the scenes would have been incredible to hear about... it would have emphasized even more the theme about how Coco was helping and inspiring everyone under the HoloLive banner, and from a strictly business standpoint it would have given a HUGE boost in exposure to the HoloStars branch~!
In retrospect, that really would have been nice to see... thanks for taking the time to clip and translate some of the HoloStars’ reaction to Coco’s graduation. It really reflects positively on all of them, and hopefully will help bring a little more of the overseas fan base to give the HoloStars support as well.
Blame idol culture. It rly sucks. I wanted Holostars to appear too. Cover rly did a bad job with Holostars and im hoping whatever coco decides to do, now without restrictions can at least boost Holostars
But that also means coco is just a amazing in such short amount of time she blaze her way to everyone's heart
-Cover didn't restrict anything- *. among HololiveJP Fubuki, Matsuri and Sora interacted with Holostar before. it's up to the individual talent to decide, although it is influenced by fans not wanting it. Fubuki get dislike bomb when collab with Oga for example, Noel said she think her fan wouldn't like it. and it's not even idol culture, Nijisanji vtubers are not advertised as idol but some still get the same reaction from fans.

I agree with the comment made by Huong Le van, we can't force relations among the talents. The comments you see alot talking about Holostars and Hololive to collab are just part of the loud minority, the talents themselves are smart enough to know what kind of risks are brought upon when these kinds of stuff happens, whether they want to happen or not is part of the talent's decision not the fans. I have no intentions to bash people wanting to collab, I really would want that too but in the end it is the talent's decision.

This must be a Japanese thing, but I don't get his mindset on this one. He would not have needed more people and more numbers to be able to send a message to Coco, it doesn't matter that his numbers are small by comparison if he simply wanted to give her a message of heartfelt thanks.
I think it's both a Japanese thing and a Holostars thing. The boys were flamed a lot during the beginning days, and during Astel's gen debut (Astel, Temma, and Roberu), they were flamed hard online because it coincided with the merging of Holostars into Hololive and INNK becoming Hololive Production, where many antis accused them off leeching off the girls. Some like Roberu and Astel swore to get bigger with minimal help from the girls to prove the antis wrong. Basically, they won't refuse a collab if the girls ask for a collab, but the boys won't actively seek it either.
This is the curse that is Japanese idol culture, the men and women must stay segregated. This is really a strong taboo in Japan (and Korea), fortunately overseas there's much less baggage. The Indonesian girls freely collab with the Holostars guys
Astel is quite shy, and has occasionally expressed some issues with self-worth. He didn't even really interact with ID until Ollie came along and made the first move.
People place too much blame on the whole idol culture thing. It's a factor, but it's hardly the only factor involved in all this.
@@Zeik56 Agreed. People tend to think it's the idol culture mentality, when in actuality a lot of the Holostars and Hololive members are very shy towards the opposite gender, so of course there really aren't much interactions among them.

Idol culture is sooooo weird : /. What's the point of having Holostar if they keep it hidden and locked? Are they waiting for them to go away discretely? I've heard that's what some JPN companies sometimes do instead of firing. I'm quite the recent fan, I came when Aloe graduated, it took me 2 months to discover that Holostar even existed. No events, no Hologra, nothing. It's like they're independent.
well they are getting 3D models this year, except Rikka & Roberu who already have them, and are gonna have a Live in December. And with all the collabs they have they don't really feel "hidden and locked" to me

Just for the record, Cover mostly prohibits interaction between Hololive and Holostar and men in general. Only a few like Matsuri and Fubuki are allowed to interact with them because they can control their fanbase. But there was this one time one of Nijisanji's male vtubers mentioned Suisei and dude got harassed for months because of it. That's why most of HoloJp pretend to be lesbian or not care about men at all.

Your logic is inherently sad. People around me often say I am very logical person but man, I gotta hand it to you. And yes, I do agree with the fact crying doesn't solve problems, but we are emotional creatures.
