    Back in the early '90s I had a Toyota catalog that actually has 4age Atlantic parts issued. You could ordered basically everything you needed to build an engine. Back then they used dual side draft carbs. I remember reading that the 4age Atlantic engines revved to 11000 or 12000 rpm and made roughly 260hp. Later engines that ran injection there were estimates as high as 300hp. These were all crank hp ratings, NOT wheel hp. At some tracks Atlantic cars had to run a muffler, usually a Supertrapp mufflers, because of local noise ordinances. The Atlantics were actually louder than the CHAMP cars they supported.

    • @MrTL3wis
      @MrTL3wis 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We only had big RPM on the carb'd cars. Once it went to EFI, I think it dropped to 10,000 or 10,200? Later years dropped to 9600. We made about 250+ HP in race trim.

      @@MrTL3wis been al ong time fan of the lil 4age, I dailied a MK1 MR2 for 20 years. I was unaware that the injected engines had their revs cut. Some tracks the Atlantic cars had to run mufflers where the Champ Cars didnt bc the Atlantics were so damn loud.

    • @MrTL3wis
      @MrTL3wis 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@aw11man26 Yep. We always ran a muffler from Coast Fabrication. We would pack it with stainless steel 'steel wool' and the more you got in, the more power you made, because it would kinda turn into a straight pipe. There was also a certain measurement for the muffler which affected engine tuning.

    Awesome. Really like the packaging at the rear. Love to see the F1 inspired aero features! I figured those additions to the suspension were for trying to deal with the tire squirt/wake. I hope you're able to add some more in the future! Seems like you could modify the floor edge to better seal the underfloor, improve the performance of the venturi tunnels, and better deal with the rear tire squirt. Also I'm not sure how difficult it would be to do, but I wonder if modifying the inside wheel covers to have vortex generators, could help to keep more of that flow attached as it goes around the sides of your sidepod where you have that undercut. Do you have a 3D model of the car? I'd be interested to see what it looks like in a CFD simulation.

      @spdcrzy emtron has a very cool torque limiting and torque strategy so we just tell the emtron what our torque limits are and it won't exceed that 😉
      boost is irrelevant it's all about torque and the ecu creates live output torque readings so it's amazing for launch control and traction strategies
      Incorporate the bleed of throttle body into the intercooler pipe and we can keep turbo speed at our target and bleed off the air we don't need again limiting torque but retaining our turbospeed and therefore the boost
      We also use amazing strategies in the ecu for barometric correction for all of our closed loop controls but I can't talk to much about this on public fourm 😉
