    My great grandfather was in the usa building railways over 100 years ago,
    there he learned some mandarin. and it has been a tradition to teach the children in my family to count in Mandarin.
    After all these years, it's not that far from what I've learned from my dad.

    Thank you for teaching me 1 to 10 in madarin. I play pin pong with a lot main land china peoples. Some don't speak english. It's hard to communicate by counting 1 to 10. Now I can talk to them...

      Mates Mates essentially speaking the tones are articulated in this way: neutral, down ward, down and peak, and upwards. Hope that helps. As, there are TH-cam videos upon the tones If this explanation was unhelpful

    I'm learning Japanese on top of this. I find the text at the side is really helpful that way I can write it in Chinese and put next to it What it sound like, and the hand gestures help too :)

    i love to learn because I'am the son of chinese who left there country go to live in cambodia....!!!!! so then i decide to learn chinese never forget my own language because my grandfather is chinese my great grandmother is chinese and my great grandfather is chinese....!!

    What would be extremely helpful is learning the number in groups of the 123, 456 ,789, 10
    also saying the same number three time 1,1,1 2,2,2 3,3,3 4,4,4 in this way the mind can learn more quickly. Our minds need to do a waltz to learn quickly

    As a chinese speaker we say in Japanese of 1 一 means ichi and 2 ニ means ni and 3 三 means san and 4 四 means shi so it's kinda seem similar to chinese and Japanese

    very good video i learned my numbers in mandarin chinese i also know my numbers in french english spanish asl sign language and until 100 in vietnamese.... im getting better yeah :)

    I speak English, Spanish, French and Japanese.
    Japanese was my last language now coming from that to Chinese is a bit difficult to pronounce for me. since Chinese are the roots I have to learn it and your videos are very very helpful !

    Thanks for the video lol. I always got a 96 or 100 on my mandarin quizes but we had an oral quiz and i got a 36! So this really helped me.
