You can hate Durst and LB all you want but at least there was still genre diversity in the mainstream in the early-00s. Nowadays, it's mainly trap hip-hop and this redundant, wimpy nasal-toned aesthetic. Most of the top pop songs on Spotify use the same drums and song structure. Very little difference sonically and creatively.

Every1 hates nu metal especially those who grew is the heavy/thrask metal era beacause they knew how the nu metal movement was a threat to them in the heavy metal throne. Nu metal got the unique agreesive, heavy and groovy style that was a distinct and fresh sound, anyway i love them both. Peace out

“I’m a simple guy” I like that, because technically he was always that simple. He wore the same clothes us kids were wearing at that time, he didn’t try to dress all fancy or Gucci or anything he was just himself. Sure a bit of it got to his head but what rock star didn’t have that.

Rock was at its best when nu metal was around. IT was the most popular genre of music in the world. Now rock barely exists and its pathetic to think elitists chased away a great genre just because they were charting alongside britney spears, and they could handle their secret club of metal being so popular.

Oh, NOW people support Nu Metal. It's funny how people support things after they've aged a bit. I like Nu Metal but i'm just pointing it out. By the way, if any metal or rock bands today were on a show like TRL today, you'd all be hating on them and calling them sellouts, and then 20 years down the line you'd be praising them saying how good it was.
