my dad surprised his great grandfather with a new square body in 82.He told them take itt back. His 70 was all he wanted. He had put his own solid lifter cam and rear gears in it. Two weeks later he bought ESC 305 Scottsdale. Awesome truck for the day

Holy crap. Best truck ever made. My truck I wish was the 350 but the original owner got the 305. So I got a 305 dual true hooker headers with dual 2 chamber flowmasters. I got a edelbrock 4 barrel 600cfm carb on a edelbrock Low end power intake manifold. I have a chrome air intake with chrome cylinder heads. If I had a 350 I would’ve bored it to a 383 than got 400 small block heads and water pump. Then I would’ve blowed it to get the signature blower surge.

@@RESTORATIONRESCUE thanks, that was with the 383 stroker thumper cam. The truck is now equipped with a 454 and summit racing cam 1302.

I’m pretty sure my c10 is the same color and I’ve been trying to figure out the name of the color so do you happen to know the name of it?
Not sure what it was but I had some work done on bed and the color match was a copper gold from a Mazda I believe not sure on make.

That is shaaaarp! I have an 09 Z06 in Atomic Orange. Very similar in color. Currently building my 85 GMC stepside. Looking at a Smeding 383 450hp. I pray it sounds as nice as yours. Cheers :-)
What rims are those?
Center lines 15x8 front and 15x10 rear they been on the truck since the early 2000s

It’s decent enough, but I believe we should have gone with a different cam. We are in process of pulling the 383 out for a 454.
