The most wonderful, best Pathétique I’ve ever heard. More than any other historical recordings with historical conductors and orchestras- this girl conductor is brilliant
She is the best conductor with all that passion , before as a prodigy chello girl, and now as a conductor, but I miss her with her Chello she was absolutely amazing. She is a genious of music. Bravo Han Na Chang you have the touch of God and of a real artist !!!! .
Bravo this was amazing. Han-Na Chang is just amazing conductor have seen her twice in Oslo and she is just outstanding. Trondheim Symhony Orchestra is just amazing. Bravo Bravo.
She is the greatest woman conductor not only in our time but in the whole music history and as an intellectual shaman, the second woman is Ben-Dor and no more.
Am I listening a Lorin Maazel? He conducted Vienna Philharmonic in 1964. That is still my favorite No.6 since 1976 when I was in high school. Hanna Chang's interpretation is very similar to his. So lovely, so painfully and sadly, and so beautifully. Bravo! Hanna Chang.
Great interpretation, one of the best I've ever heard, specially when Maestro Chang conducts from memory. I would love to be a member of this orchestra under her baton.
What a fantastic conductor and orchestra! But also the video editor has got to be recognized. For the first time as a viewer of classical performance videos, I am allowed to see the ENTIRE orchestra for not just momentary glimpses, but long enough to allow the magnificence of all these highly talented people working together to sink in. Congratulations on not cutting every 5 seconds just for the sake of creating action realizing that the orchestra is the action.
She is known as a genius who has won at the age of eleven the first prize at Rostropovitch's Competition. Dedication to music is astonishing. A true musician.
i love the conductor. She is very dramatic and knows every note of Marvelous composition. She is truly a leading conductor as a master artist Should direct to motivate and inspire the musicians. Superb!!! A very talent and skillful orchestra A love between master and artist. Artist and Conductor have tremendous Energy and stamina! The last drop of juice! Bravo!
When commenters say such-and-such a piece or such-and-such a performer/performance is the greatest of all time, I cringe. Art is not quantitative like won-loss records or championships in sports. Though there's good and bad, there's is still some element of beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The person who says this is the best performance ever of this work should bear in mind that this symphony has been recorded by almost every major conductor and major orchestra since the invention of the record player.
Very good! Some details were superb! I found the brass and percussion outstanding. Bit unfortunate applause. I am always a bit scared hoping the audience doesn't applaud at the end of the molto vivace. One loses the stark emotional impact of the the adagio lamentoso. It is like applauding after an orgasm lol.
As I mentioned at another video of the 6th, there is an old tradition from 19th century to applaude after the 3rd mvt. INSTEAD of the 4th in this symphony, considering the last one as a 'Requiem', and it's not opportune to applaude after sacred music. It comes from the slightly exaggerating time of heroes adoration of genius...
I personaly prefer her 5th symphony as it is too much emotional and too much subjective. But at least better than Karajan, Bernstein, Solti and etc. But now one year later I find it wonderful as my constructing loudspeaker improved..
Origins of music unevidenced. Except it is gift to humanity from God the Creator. Music continues in heaven. Discontinues in hell. Jesus Christ died and resurrected for remissions of everybody's pre-existing sins to save from eternal hell. Penalty of sin already paid by Jesus Christ on The Cross. Accept HIM. Be saved from eternal hell. Enter heaven. Enjoy heavenly music. For free.
I don't use this expression very often, but..."They nailed it". What a spectacular performance.
She is every bit as talented and engaging a conductor as she is a cellist. I love this performance.
I agree completely.
A performance for the ages, so moving.

One of the best performances I have ever seen of Pathetique. 3rd and 4th movements are outstanding, brilliant! Congratulations!!
Everything has already been said and nothing can be said about this accessible and profound masterpiece.
The child prodigy cellist Hang Na? So much talent.
First class performance with all the clarity, vigour and pathos one would expect of the Pathétique.

Bravo! Hanna chang. The orchestra is full of energy.
that adagio lamentoso is heart- rending and just an astonishing piece of music
The way the basses died out at the end.... absolutely breathtaking
Thank you! ❤️
0:27 Adagio - Allegro non troppo
19:09 Allegro con grazia
27:33 Allegro molto vivace
36:06 Finale: Adagio lamentoso

Brilliant performance. Deeply touching to my heart.
Good on you Hanna, brilliant performance on a brilliant symphony. Made my day.

her debut album is conducted by rostropovich. that tells us how much rostropovich valued her talent
The best representation of the third movement I think I've ever seen. Too bad some applause breaks the magic with the final movement.

@@andrewgary8915 Completely agree with you. She can be the model of all emerging conductors.
pfft, i would've applauded too. that was amazing. fuk the decorum. lol

Brilliant orchestra and conductor.
She is amazing
Musica meravigliosa senza tempo.
By far one of the best Tchaikovsky I have ever heard :)
She killed the last movement
Самая лучшая симфония....the most great symphony
It's like Bernstein and Solti together. Love her gestual language.
43:00 most nervous moment of trombone 😨
From IkSan they made my ear I love classic because of her performance
참 좋습니다(very good)!
Great Performance. Thank You All~!!!!
Unbelievable!

You can hear the devestation in the last movment
Wow.......
Slava would be so proud!
Han-Na Chang does not orchestrate, does not conduct an orchestra - she IS the music !

Isn't the opening bassoon line of this symphony very similar to the famous horn solo in the 5th?

I can compare Maestro Chang with Myung-Whun Chung.
…………She is so „sweet“…………
I think she spends too much energy...
Too much energy? Do you mean women shouldn’t be seen directing an orchestra on stage? Too much energy compared to what? Someone reading a book?
@@profpf who talked about women? are you stupid? or you don't understand English?
